Sanderson "Would you Rather"
KnightRadiant replied to KnightRadiant's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Since you didn't ask a question, I'll keep it going. Would you rather read the Stormlight Archive or the original Mistborn Trilogy?- 954 replies

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
KnightRadiant replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Had this sort of thing happen, only I was Jasnah and worried about how much time was left. I ended up waking earlier then usual... -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. Anyway, the Nightwatcher changes her name to Day Watcher, but makes her middle name Night, and goes by that. I ask for twenty, 100 gram, milk chocolate bars. -
You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

When you watch the weather channel to keep watch for highstorms. Or, when you stub your toe and are instantly grateful that you aren't a post-Reod Elantrian. -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
KnightRadiant replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Thanks by the way. I was like:no! I must be invisible or something! So thanks for both proving to me that I am, in fact, not invisible, and making me smell like bananas. I need to thank you for that last one again, just because it's so great.Anyway, to Brightness Enna, it won't let me quote again on this device, but your wish is granted. You now have $90,000, but your bane is that you are instantly transported to Scadrial during the Final Empire as a skaa worker. Good luck. My wish is to have a cat. -
Szeth and Screaming-Spren-Swords (spoiler-y ness)

Which is why the first one is very much not plausible. I meant to mention that, but forgot.- 46 replies

Szeth and Screaming-Spren-Swords (spoiler-y ness)
KnightRadiant posted a topic in Stormlight Archive
Hey Sharders! Sorry about the title, it just feels right though. I know this theory has some holes in it. I can see some main ones myself. But I'm still going to post it. For me it started like this: Could the screams that Szeth hears be related to the screams of the dead Shardblades? I then thought that Szeth could have already been bonded to a spren, and that was why he heard screams. One of the things that go against this is that his Blade is not a spren, and therefore would not scream when he touches it. I also found a WoB that says directly that Szeth isn't bonded to a spren, so... Obviously, Szeth has had some emotional and mental trauma. (Hearing screams whenever you blink can do that to a person.) Anyway, his Honorblade once belonged to a Herald who had to go to a place of pain and torture between Desolations. Could this mean that his Blade "remembers" the pain and makes it's wielder hear screams? That's one idea. Another is that when Honor died, the Honorblades suffered and now scream, or something like that. In short it's like this: He hears screams because he's already bonded to a spren. (I'm pretty sure this one is false) He hears screams because he mentally unstable and his Blade had decided to be reminiscent. (More plausible than the first one) The Honorblades were somehow broken or are suffering now that Honor is dead. (Also plausible) Let me know what you guys think.- 46 replies

Yeesh... the questions are getting harder! Hmm... Ruin. I don't know how to make a spoiler tag, so I won't give my reason. Would you rather be a Parshendi in stormform, or a kandra with only one spike?- 954 replies

Post-Reod Elantrian. In that case, I would probably become Hoed, then (maybe) come back later. Would you rather clean Adolin Kholin's Shardplate, or be a skaa worker during the Final Empire?- 954 replies

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
KnightRadiant replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, only now you cannot change back. In fact, you can only change into fire, and that only very reluctantly. I wish to be able to speak and understand all known languages. (Whoops, grammar accidents) -

Scadrial. I'd like to see the mists, and the magic system is awesome. Would you rather be able to meet Brandon Sanderson, but have to throw Words of Radiance at him the moment you said "hi", or go to two signings with only getting one book signed?- 954 replies

Hey Sharders! I assume you all know how to play "would you rather", but I'm going to explain anyway. One person asks a question--it can be from the books, about the characters, or about Brandon himself ( though I'm not sure how you'd manage that)--then the next person answers that question and asks their own, and so on. Try to keep possible spoilers to a minimum. I'll start with an easy enough question: Would you rather be a Lightweaver or a Windrunner?

Granted, but as soon as you identify the bird as a bald eagle, it will explode. I ask to come back to life after my other bane killed me. -
New Knights Radiant blamed for Szeth?
KnightRadiant replied to RobocracyNow's topic in Stormlight Archive
First off, welcome to the Shard! Okay, so I'll admit, you make some really strong points that could definitely be a source of political strain for Alethkar as a nation and the new Knights Radiant. It is highly probable that this sort of thing will happen in Oathbringer. One thing that Dalinar could have going in his favor is the fact that most of the other rulers think he's insane because of his visions. They would be slow to think him capable of something like this. But, they would still probably think he did it anyway. Szeth even "died" right at the perfect moment for this sort of thing to be possible. But since he's now more his own person and a member of the Skybreakers, he might be able to vouch for himself... if he wants to that is. Because Taravangian's kingdom is also secure, someone might be able to draw lines back to him. Highly unlikely, but possible. -
What's YOUR Talent?

Mine is probably avoiding people... a sad Talent if you think about it. Probably pretty powerful, but... a little depressing at the same time. -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
KnightRadiant replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. Your bane, however, is you can no longer close your eyelids, therefore you cannot sleep easily and must video and take pictures of everything you see. I ask to be able to move at the speed of light. -
Hello Cosmerenaught! Welcome to the Forums! Aaaaand, have an upvote, just because! I think I'll have to agree and say that WoR is my favorite book (sorry Mistborn Trilogy!). I look forward to your theories!

Another Adonalsium makes sense. It would obviously take many, many books for it to happen, but still sounds plausible. About it being Sazed though, I'm not sure. Like you said, because it makes sense for Harmony to become Adonalsium, Brandon might not do it. He seems to like doing the unexpected.

Hey Sharders! Just something fun. If you could have any Twinborn combination--including Compounding--what would it be? Allomantic iron and Feruchemical pewter, or maybe Allomantic tin and Feruchemical gold. So many combinations! I think it would be cool to have steel on steel. Edit: I'm sorry if there are already things like this. Man, sometimes it's hard to be original!

Lots of Worldhopping going on. When I found out about the Cosmere, I literally stared out my window because it was so amazing (I found Nahz in Secret History, and it was mind-blowing). Then, I came to the Forums and was like "Oh man. I know like nothing!". I'll try. I've gathered that we still don't know the time-line for the books? If so, S.A. could happen before or after Warbreaker. If it happens before then it would make sense why Vienna isn't there, but not for why Nightblood is separated from Vasher/Zahel. If after, it could mean that Vasher (as others have said) permanently moved to Roshar because he no longer wanted to live on Breath, then Nightblood was stolen/lost/separated from him. It could also be that Vasher simply came to Roshar to help stop the Everstorm. There are a lot of possibilities for why Vienna isn't on Roshar with Vasher. She could have stayed on her home planet and become some kind of influential person, died, she's on a different planet, S.A. is before Warbreaker, or she's on Roshar and we haven't realized it yet.
-
She could be a Worldhopper. One reason we didn't see her on Roshar in WoK and WoR could be because she hasn't come yet. We know Vasher/Zahel is on Roshar, but we don't really know which series is first on the time-line. I say "we" but I guess I mean "I". I personally didn't see her in the books, but then again, I didn't see Vasher until after I finished both series.

... you stub your toe and your first thought is "At least I'm not a post-Reod Elantrian." True story. Anything like that happen to anyone else?
