  1. I'll do that, any under-implemented PI's that could be used?
  2. I've modified it
  3. Yeah, I was thinking that, I lacked enough intro into that. I may keep manifestations, but halve the aura count
  4. Thanks, I didn't realize that I've changed it to a placeholder name for now.
  5. Hi again, everyone! For those of you with an (unnervingly) good memory, I was the guy who made Lifebringer. The longer I tried to write him, the less I enjoyed doing so. I've given up on making him for the time being, and if anyone wants him as a character, PM me. Moving on, I've come up with a new epic. Let me know of any modifications I may need to make. Name: Afterglow (I may change this, as my original was already taken) Real Name: Briya Holmes Gender: Female Age: 23 Description: About 5'6" with blue eyes with vertical slits and shoulder length brown hair. Has large raven's wings protruding from her back. Cargo pants for the storage of knives and other necessities. Short sleeved or tank top shirts to allow her to fit them over her wings. Hiking boots. Usually has a sheath for her katana, which she often uses for fighting. Primary Power: Auramancy. She can "stick" six different colored auras to any object, effecting them in various ways. The strength of many auras increase with proximity, but others require direct contact. She can lay two auras on an object and up to 4 on herself Auras: Hot/Cold (Red and Blue) Can imbue an object so it gives off heat anywhere between -200 and +500 degrees Celsius. This aura only affects things the object comes in contact with after imbuement. Thsee auras can only be stuck on by direct contact. Affects only the first solid or liquid contacted. Fast/Slow (Green and Yellow) Can increase or decrease the speed of an object by up to 15 times, acting inversely upon increases in size. This allows her to throw something such as a marble or nail at about 750 miles an hour, almost half as fast as a bullet. She can also increase her speed by 50% and decrease another's by 33%. Aura works far less effectively without direct contact. Sharp/Blunt (Orange and Purple) Can increase the sharpness or bluntness of an object. This allowas for someone's sword or knife to cut through wood and some rock, but not most metals. Bluntness allows for temporary increase in effectiveness or both fists and bludgeons. Secondary Power: Enchanced Regeneration. All wounds heal at about 20 times standard rate, and she can regenerate limbs over the course of several days. Passive: Has a pair of black, feathered wings capable of flight. Modds Operandi: Leads a group of wanderers about 300 strong through equal parts fear and prosperity. Her goal is to find a permenant residence for her group, and expand her tiny empire. She has the minor epic; Surgeport, to provide power. His lone power is to charge any electric device of moderate size, allowing for electric generators and power to be readily accessible. Emotional Corruption: Psychopathic violence. She's prone to slaughtering those who anger her, but often releases her anger by slowly killing or torturing her foes. Pre-Calamity: Still working on that My apologies about that huge block of text. Please point out any typos or needed modifications to me. I fear some of my traits may border God-Modding, so let me know if I need to dampen them down. Thanks!
  6. I'd mentioned that in the post, sorry if that was unclear. I meant for this question to rub on the assumption that it was theoretically possible.
  7. Just an FYI for the future, after I flesh out Lifebringer some more, I would be interested in adopting Event Horizon.
  8. It's horrible and potentially destructive, and can leave you with a new outlook on life if you get through it. Cats are like raw beef.
  9. I've decided to join on to Corvallis, anything I should know as background?
  10. I'm just curious, are you referring to the us government, or an epic government, and if so, which ones are there?
  11. Any good way to introduce my character to Salem? I don't want to make it awkward or throw the thread off topic.
  12. I have a new epic which I'd like to add to whichever board is best suited for a new addition. Let me know of anything which should be added, and flaws or aspects hold be removed. Epic Name: Lifebringer Real Name: Jason Vestri Age: 27 Appearance: Brown hair, Blue eyes, white, tall. Usually wearing a leather trench coat and gloves. Primary power: Can, for a brief period, turn living things into nonliving things in a solid or liquid state, and vice versa. The range of this ability is about 5 feet, and he usually must be within 1-2 feet of a person to interact with them or anything on them. Once an object is converted, though, only time will effect the change, not distance from him. The hardness or complexity of an object can greatly decrease the time an object can remained altered (i.e. diamond or muscle can only last for about 5 seconds but vines or rock for several minutes.) Secondary ability: Can exert simple control over plants, especially those of his creation. Sphere of influence is only about 15 feet on preexisting objects, but up to 150 on those he has created. The purpose of the razor wires he carries with him are to project them at foes as vines, then stab or cut them after turning the vines back. Passive power: Moderately enhanced cognitive and sensory abilities. His intelligence isn't greatly enchanced, but he can take in more at once, and process sensory indicators faster, leading to quicker reflexes. Prime invincibility (sort of): Can turn to diamond for several seconds at a time, but his powers are briefly nullified after, and he can't do so again for 3-5 minutes. Modus Operandi: Befriends whoever is in charge of the city he's in. After gaining trust and achieving a position of moderate authority, he begins working to slowly undermine local authority by playing various weaker epics onto his side. Personality: Ruthless and somewhat needlessly violent, but lawful. Believes assassination and similar activites to be below him. Doesn't go out of his way to spare innocents, but avoids senseless violence or destruction. Usually very level-headed outside of combat. Weapons of choice: Razor wires in back of trench coat, and spike tipped steel cords (about 150 feet long), both of which he converts into vines and fights with. Both are coiled around devices on his arms and coat, which can be mentally activated and reversed via organic manipulation. Twin sawed shotguns in coat. Both use 12 round heavy slug in an electron-compressed magazine with gravitron kickback reduction. One of them is equipped with a lightweight rocket launcher on the undercarriage. Wooden sword and knives sheathed to chest, pants, and coat. He carries a sword and about half a dozen knives, which he fights with by turning them into diamond, titanuim, or another durable substance. Coat, gloves, and all other clothing he wears. All of his clothing can be covered into any nonorganic material, usually steel or diamond. This provides defense, or offense when in a fistfght. The gloves have wooden knuckles and backs, allowing for more selective conversion. Backstory: After transforming into an epic at the age of 25, he went on a murderous rampage, killing his family and many of his friends. Upon finally leaving the initial phase of violence, he had regrets for what he'd done. His blood lust was still great, but from there on out, he tried to avoid killing innocents senselessly, he still does often if he has a reason for it. He strives for power, but realized that he wouldn't be able to gain it, as he wasn't strong enough of a high epic. Once he had this realization, he went under the prose that he was the emissary of someone far greater than him. Let me know what you think!
  13. I have read the rules, but I'm wondering if there's anything meta or not mentioned in the rules and etiquette I should know.
  14. I'm new to the forums and have only found this part of it yesterday, so I have a few questions about. 1. Which of the chats should I put my character onto? 2. What traits are essential to have about my characer (since I already have one in mind)? 3. What important things are there to keep in mind when playing? 4. Is writing skill an important factor in this and should I avoid it if mine isn't great? Feel free to answer none or all of these questions, but thank you regardless.
  15. True, but I seem to recall Vasher saying that they were specially made to do that. You may be correct, though.
  16. Ok, thanks for the responses, but to clarify, I was asking something different. I was wondering, since it does appear to be possible, if Awakening an object to do something, then Soulcasting it into a form which renders that command impossible. If you were to take a random twig or string, command it to bend, and soulcast it to crystal, would it stop moving, shatter, or (somehow) bend? Metal koloss though >
  17. Wait! Those aren't cookies, they're hemalurgic spikes! *throws cookies at Chasmfiend*
  18. Eat them, he tried to stop me too, but I didn't listen!
  19. I will eat the cookies!
  20. Diclaimer:This is the first theory I've posted, so let me know if I've done anything wrong. After having read Warbreaker, I was wondering what would happen after soulcasting an object which was already Awakened into a,substance which could potentially nullify the command. From both Mistborn and WOB (and maybe someven things I'm forgetting), we know that using investure upon a previously invested object is difficult if not impossible. If soulcasting it can't be done upon it, than that would nullify this post. Moving along assuming that this can be done, imagine you were to do what Vienna did in Warbreaker and command a piece of thread to "Push Things" and put it in a lock. Immediately after, if you were to soulcast it into something like wood or crystal. Would it cease to function, or continue to attempt to carry out its command, snapping, bending, or shattering in the process? On a similar note, would soulcasting an invested object into metal nullify or remove the Breaths? Please let me know what you think and any interesting ways in which this could be used!
  21. Why would that be so?
  22. Why would that be so?
  23. I love cookies!
  24. Hello, I'be been lurking around on these forums for about 6 months. After finally developing a desire to post, I decided to get an account. This is my first forum account, and I'm not terribly familiar with a ton of the technicalities, so if there's anything I should know, tell me.
