  1. Sixth of Dusk is one of my personal favorites, too I don't see Elantris on your list of read books, was that an accidental omission or have you not read it yet? If you haven't read it yet, I'd definitely recommend it. It was his 1st published book, so it's a little less polished than his later novels, but I really liked it. And I don't believe Perfect State is Cosmere bc (IIRC), it's set on a future Earth, and Earth isn't cosmere. Good question, though!
  2. Hey there, Zoa! Welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your time here. If you have any questions, forum related, book related, or other, feel free to ask. The people here are by and large an amazing community, so you should get a well thought out answer really quickly. Have you read all of Sanderson's books? Which was your favorite? Also, are you cosmere-aware?
  3. Hmmm. That BBCode did not work as planned. I forgot a "/" in the spoiler tag right before "partnering". The spacing in the roles category and items category got all screwed up, too. Not sure how or why.
  4. My biggest concern rn is that you can't force someone to target themselves. The rules say you can cause someone to target another player. That seems to imply that you can only redirect person A to B, not A to A. If this is the case, I propose Jamie redirects Rubiks to me and Maill protects me with his wisdom powers. That way, if I die, we know Maill is evil or was redirected, which can be easily determined by Stink tracking Jaime next cycle. Basically, it forces a zero-sum for the Elims and gives us time to lynch. So, @Gamma Fiend, can a ta'veren cause a self target or not?
  5. I redacted
  6. I don't really love this engineering a tie. It was good to gauge people's reactions, but at this point the data is becoming meaningless from all these switches back and forth. I'm going to place my vote on Straw to limit the chances of a 3 way tie, and would like if other people help make a clear leader so hopefully no opportunistic soother decides to save a factionmate by engineering a no-lynch. I'll hop on whatever bandwagon forms, honestly, so long as we don't squander a turn.
  7. I'm now very tempted to change my vote to Joe and keep the tie for longer. It always makes vote analysis more interesting Then again, Maill called the intentional ties "Phony science". So I guess I'll just leave my vote where it is
  8. Ah. I totally got that was sarcasm. I blame my jetlag. Still going to leave my vote on you to help Aman with his science
  9. The "team of 7 must have the inquisitor" thing from earlier
  10. I did in my 1st post
  11. Maill, you seem to be tunneling on PK a bit. I mean, I can see a little suspicion, but a lot of your argument appears to not be legitimate conviction and more twisting meanings to fit your purpose. For example, I think it's fairly safe to assume (until proven otherwise) that the Inquisitors have a steel spike. PK not putting on a disclaimer that it wasn't yet confirmed doesn't really reflect that negatively on him, IMO; we all know it isn't confirmed, so he could have been just saving keystrokes. Also, your mind games earlier seemed like an attempt to plant misinformation regarding the inquisitor and create groundless suspicion that could distract from actual efforts to figure out who was spiked. Just sayin'
  12. 1) @jaimeleecee, please acknowledge that you've heard Meta's idea so you can't later plead ignorance 2) Sorry about my relative inactivity. I just got back from Europe 4ish hours ago, so I'm feeling super jetlagged, but once I recover I should have way more time on my hands 3) Sounds good 4) Pretty confident that you're good anyways. ANd if Stink is good, Joe was corrupted last cycle, which means he wasn't lying about redirecting Fain to Rubiks a couple cycles ago, so Rubiks is pretty much confirmed bad 5) Sounds like it makes sense. Maill is still a possibility having saved Rubiks, but a very unlikely one at this point, and if it wasn't him it was Jaime.
  13. I only have wifi for a short period of time, so I haven't been able to read the whole thread. I will when I get home in roughly 4 hours. That said, my RNG says Phatt is suspicious! I'll change that when I get home and have time to analyze, but for now I want boxings
  14. @Amanuensis, sorry if I misinterpreted you, but I'm not sure how a coinshot could kill every other night. Wouldn't they be able to do so every third (because they need to request 2 vials and then use them the 3rd night)?
  15. Hey factionmates, I'm still on vacation so I only have access to my phone. For some reason it can't install the docs app over my hotel's wifi Can someone reserve orange for me? Oh, and use the numbers and letters (after "document/" and before "/edit") in our link as a key for the following One Time Pad for a quick message from me for the doc: LLECHNKLDEYWYQSKTKYUJHUOIPHGLRP Edit: Oh, and I can see the doc, just not edit it. Just to let you know
  16. I say we lynch Rubiks. As I've said before, it's a risk but it's one worth taking. If we take out the Corrupt's kill, we'd be able to analyze to our hearts content. Current corruption possibilities: Joe, Rubiks, Jamie Joe, Rubiks, Maill Joe, Stink, Rubiks (Most unlikely, because it means Stink sold out his own teammate to clear himself, and his teammate has a much more useful role)
  17. Cobbles clicked underfoot, echoing with the muffled reverberations of the nightly mist which gave the street an otherworldly quality. Louik shivered as the dew stole down the back of his long coat, momentarily breaking his carefully composed haughty expression. Blasted informant, he thought. Like most noblemen, he had been in the mists countless times throughout his life, but that didn't mean he enjoyed the experience in the least. Especially during these last few days. Ever since the strange lurch in the swirling ether a few days ago, the mist had seemed freer, less restrained. Joyous, even. Louik despised change. He prided himself on foreseeing every conceivable possibility and ramification, and planning to best take advantage of even the worst situation. When something deviated from his carefully schemed plans or hypothesi, he took it as almost a personal insult on his intellectual capabilities. The change in the mists had eluded his uncannily accurate foresight, and for that he despised them. The fact that few realized the change even after its occurrence restored some small measure of his pride, but he still did not feel entirely comfortable in the midst of the unexplainable whorls and eddies. Still, the informant promised this unique bit of news was well worth the midnight meeting. Seeing a vague shape in the mists, Louik strode forward and dropped a bag of boxings. "Your requested fare, informant. Now, the information". "Yes, Lord--" "Not here, you fool!" Louik hissed "Of course, of course. I realize how much a slip of my tongue could hurt your regal reputation, my lord" the informant said with a sly smile "Be careful how you threaten a member of one of the Lord Ruler's most favored houses, skaa." "I meant no threat, my lord. But your house is favored no longer. In fact, no house can now claim to be under the patronage of the Lord Ruler, for he has been killed, and skaa have gained control of Luthadel" Louik fell back, a stunned look falling across his face. He had plans for such an occurrence, of course, but they had been composed as more of a mental exercise than an actual course of action. They were only found within his mind as well; no nobleman would dare put such treasonous thoughts on paper. If it were true, though... Whoever gained control of Luthadel stood to become an emperor in their own right. I'd best get packing, he thought with a start. There's no way my house will pass up an opportunity such as this.
  18. It was a QF (14, I believe), that was called Corruption in the Senate. It was also my first game
  19. Basically, if Joe was corrupted last cycle, then either Jamie or Maill had to be corrupt too to save Rubiks. If Joe was corrupted an earlier cycle, Stink must be corrupt for mis-scanning Aonar. In either scenario, Rubiks is likely corrupt as well. Basically, I propose we lynch Joe and Rubiks (2 constants) and then Jaimie (to let me use a kill again). I'll kill Maill or Stink, and if necessary we can lynch the other the following day.
  20. So, I'm guessing I might have been killed. I have a thought I would like to share regarding Joe's recent corruption, but not sure how allowed that is. Can I still post game relevant stuff now that the cycle has officially ended?
  21. I'll be Louik, please. RP to come
  22. So basically general consensus is that I put in no action tonight, Stink scans Anoar, and Aonar gets lynched. Correct? Oh, and Joe + Jamie, please redirect Rubiks to Meta. That way, if he is DF, he'll place the kill on someone dreamwalking and we won't lose anyone tonight, and if his attack goes through on someone other than Meta we'll know at least one of you or an "Aeil blooded" claimed ta'veren is corrupt.
  23. @Mailliw73, who knew you were protecting Sheep? Seems like a pretty big coincidence that they redirected your protection on the same night you protected the kill target. Could be they knew you were protecting Sheep and wanted to frame Rubiks plus take out a trusted villager with a useful role. I think a coincidence may actually have been more likely, but a little more information wouldn't hurt. Oh, and before anyone else draws conclusions from a slight inconsistency, Maill said he was protecting me last night at my request to dissuade potential DF attacks, but told me privately he didn't know who he'd protect, so that inconsistency between him protecting me and then Sheep isn't really evidence
  24. I'll sign up. I'm pretty busy for C1 and part of C2, but I should be able to check on occasionally
  25. I'm fairly certain Maill wasn't corrupted early, because I haven't been corrupted yet and he's known my role for awhile. WB seems like a role Fain would want to have, so if Maill gave him that info early-game, it would mean I'd probably be corrupted right now. I'm not, so if he was corrupted, I'd guess it was late game. Unless, of course, Fain corrupted Jaimie or Joe to redirect me, attempting a move that would result in the reducing village numbers by a minimum of 3 with 1 corrupt (my target(s), me, possibly other redirect, and then the convert) Edit: Oh, and I still think Rubiks is a better lynch. It's something of a gamble, but if we take him out and he is a corrupted DF, we eliminate a lot of uncertainty and their only kill. Then we can just take them out at our leisure
