It is a Stormlight language, but I can't recall ever seeing it actually written anywhere, so I have no idea what the OP says. XD

People who think that knowing more about a given topic gives them the right to talk down to anyone less knowledgeable. I witnessed an exchange on a bird-related Facebook page where one lady asked for advice on how to protect the bluebirds nesting in her yard from cats and how to get them to stop pecking her windows. Another woman (she doesn't deserve to be called a lady) started berating her in the most arrogant, condescending manner for letting cats kill birds and saying if the window incidents were such a problem, then (and I quote) JUST TAKE THE BIRDHOUSE DOWN! If every "experienced" or "expert" birder responded to honest, well-meaning questions as aggressively as that, the hobby would quickly die out because nobody could stand to learn from someone so insufferable! Seriously, what makes some people so hostile??

The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!

I think this is the most likely explanation. Happened to me too once. -
Literally as soon as I read the quote, the song started playing in my head. Not that hard, especially knowing that you posted it. XD

I can't comment on Django Wexler and his writing since I haven't read any of it, but I do have a few recommendations for flintlock fantasy or historical fantasy: His Majesty's Dragon and the rest of the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (Napoleonic wars with dragons) The Flux Engine by Dan Willis Lincoln's Wizard by Tracy Hickman and Dan Willis Jackaby by William Ritter (there are three books in the series so far)

I'd love to! The only problem is I don't know how much I'll be available since Sunday is not only Mother's Day but also the day that my parents and I get to Skype with my brother, who is currently on a religious mission in Bosnia. In case I have to miss it, happy early birthday! You are amazing, intelligent, brave, and compassionate, and I hope your birthday is incredibly fantabulous!

So I've been in Ohio for almost a week now, visiting my parents, and I spent the last 5 days birding with my mom in the northwestern portion of the state for the Biggest Week in American Birding. I have photos Black-and-white Warbler: Palm Warbler: Bald Eagle on a nest: Great Blue Heron: Double-crested Cormorant: Song Sparrow singing (LOL): White-crowned Sparrow: Adorable little chipmunk who was stuffing his cheeks with seeds in the woods: Turtles: Last photos for now, a Lark Sparrow: -
@Delightfully Smoak Captains Domon was messing with you. A ghost pepper is one of the spiciest kinds of peppers in existence.

@DreamLord_Erith I stopped in that bookstore specifically because Brandon is always posting on Facebook that he's gone in and signed their books. It's kinda his routine now. XD Also yes, Brandon is indeed Mormon. (I am too.)

GUYS. I'm flying to Ohio today to visit my parents and I was in the salt lake airport earlier and stopped into Simply Books to see if they had any Brandalized books and the booksellers said I just missed him by a few minutes! I didn't get to see him, but I bought a signed paperback of Bands of Mourning.

When you see a license plate that reads BYUCREW but your brain interprets it as BYUCREM. -
Oh man, that sounds sinfully delicious.

That's great, @StrikerEZ! Congrats -
"Mildly ugly?" Psshhh, you look like you could be a rock star. Don't feel bad! You're doing better than most Americans, who don't speak or read a second language at all. Your English is quite good, and it's not obvious from your posts that it isn't your first language. =) Just keep practicing!

Just wanted to share a few photos I took last week =) With how much I was outside, I swear I must've taken like 1000 pictures, and now I have to sort through them all and pick out the best ones to keep. Very time-consuming, so there's just 5 for now. -
