Hm, it's interesting that you should say that about Kelsier, because I would say that he is far more cold-blooded than Shallan. He is shown at multiple points to be unremorseful towards the people he kills, and is often unable to restrain his anger towards the nobles, and acts, not thinking about the consequences, showing some psychopathic tendencies. He views the nobles as a collective evil, and is frequently uncaring towards nobles and those affiliated with them. Granted, he does have a reason to hate them, but it still doesn't change the fact of his cold hearted murder. And yet, he is often incredibly kind towards those that he sees as victims Compared to that, I would consider Shallan far more justified in killing who she did, based on what she thought he did at the time, as well as her age and emotional stability, or at least, that's what I personally think.

Shallan. She's not always the most likeable character, but I liked how she had troubled past, but worked past it, suppressing memories and such. With Renarin, for the same reason as Elenion. Also, Shallan did grow on me, especially (WoR spoilers) So, yeah, Shallan.

Remember when he saw that there was more to life than killing the villains?

I'll go Syl because she was interesting to read about as she wasn't human. Plus, I'm really interested in the Spren culture and the politics in their world (I believe that honourspren are involved in that). I do love Dalinar dearly, but I'm not letting Syl go down in a complete knockout.

His totally correct knowledge about Scotland. All the times he talked about the ear daemons. Think of all the times Cody made you laugh.

I did think of that, but I decided on something more prominent in the story. Plus, it gets really windy where I sail (38 knots/70kph) so I always capsize (the boats a dinghy, so about 3ish meters), so it often isn't pleasurable wind.

Shai. I really like her powers and how she uses them in such masterful ways. Her soul stamps were really cool, and I found her get out an interesting situation. Plus, I liked reading about Shai's attitudes towards forgery, and Adolin, while cool, never really stood out to me as a character to me.

Jasnah, without a doubt. I could write an essay about why I love Jasnah, but don't want worry, I'll keep It short(ish). When we first meet Jasnah, we really see her as only a scholar, but then as the story progresses, through Shallan's POV we see more of her as a character. We see her frustration with herself, and a depth of character far more than we see in Lopen, even though we haven't seen much from her POV. I love the shift that we get as Shallan discovers more of her, and finds out that she isn't perfect or infallible, but is just human. Jasnah is a person who isn't afraid to challenge society, and despite being seen as completely heretical by most of the society she grew up in, she still goes far working as a scholar and being successful despite not being afraid to speak for what she believes in. Really, compared to Lopen, who is a good character in his own right, her character just goes so much further and in depth. Plus, in a fight, she can summon a Shardblade, which, even without training would be enough to beat Lopen.
