    If we imagine the Contest of Champions as a fight, then Mr T is a stupid choice. Anyone can take him in a duel. But since it is Brandon, I doubt its that simple. I’m with Cal on this though. I doubt T will be Odiums champion.

    I’d say Kelsier could beat Rashek, considering that he is more clever, and has access to and knowledge of more metals (correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Rashek knew of all the allomantic metals, did he?) As to who would win the entire thing... well, I’d say Kelsier or Rashek. Szeth is dangerous with Nightblood, but he did have trouble against some Fused in OB, so I’d say Kell and Rashek can take him. Marsh would probably do pretty well too, but not really on the level of Kelsier and TLR.

    I think @Leyrann has some interesting things going on here, even if it isn’t a Shard. The spren, wind and land are interesting, as is the general ”three” thing he talks of. Rock mentions something similar in his origin story of the Horneater Peaks in WoR. He speaks of the spren of the mountains and (I think) the spren of the forest and the winds. I think that the Sibling, Stormfather and Nightwatcher is the best explanation for this, and I guess that the Stormdaddy and the NW was just picked up by Shards, while the Sibling wasn’t. We know that Stormdaddy existed before Honor merged with him, and the Highstorms were a thing before the Shards came to Roshar, so I assume that all three major spren (Stormfather, Sibling and Nightwatcher) existed on Roshar before the Shattering. Stormfather and NW later became affiliated with Shards, but the Sibling didn’t, for some reason. As for Dalinars warmth and light... there is far too little talk of that.

    Isn’t it very much Jasnah though? When she proposed it, it seemed like the easiest way to solve the Odium problem. Logic is Jasnahs thing, so I am not at all surprised she suggested that.

    I can see this. Although, to be fair, Alcatraz will be co-written by another author, and thus, will probably not take much time to finish. AG might be in a similar situation, with Dan doing a lot of the work. Elantris is at a place where the sequels can wait a little. Warbreaker is less so, but we already know that we won’t get that until after SA5. And if there is something Brandon won’t want to push further, it is SA. I also think that Brandon is aware of the situation, and of what the contract means for his writing schedule. If the speculation above is right, he might already be doing the required work on DO. And if he isn’t, he will probably have time to do so. The series hasn’t been written yet, as far as I understood. No one has picked it up. No directors, showrunners or actors are confirmed. So I’d say that he will have the required time. I agree that he has a lot of side-projects though, and that finishing off a bunch of them would be pretty great.

    I’m very hyped for this! DO is the unpublished Sanderson story I have been most interested in, so its great that it is finally going somewhere. I’m glad that they didn’t scrap the electricity stuff either. Hopefully, it winds up being on a streaming platform I have access too (Netflix or HBO Nordic).

    I feel like it would, story-wise, be a waste of Shards to have one of them die directly on Yolen, so I hope it didn’t happen. But good find.
