  1. Finished tWoK and WoR in 3 days and am now racing through the Mistborn books. So much cosmere catching up to do. In addition to just enjoying Sanderson's wonderful books I am intrigued by this Adonalsium concept. Pleasure to meet you all. If you need me I'll be in the corner of the ballroom reading stacks of books. Also my first actual post: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/48960-surgebinding-vs-allomancy/
  2. Which magic system is more powerful in terms of combat. Specifically, all things being equal who would win in a fight: A mistborn or a windrunner? If we had Zane or Vin fighting against Kaladin who would win? This was inspired by the Lord Ruler vs Vasher question. For the sake of argument let's assume that both contestants are absolute masters of their craft and have all of their necessary fuel available in limitless quantities. The Windrunner has his/her shardblade and infinite stormlight. The Mistborn has an endless supply of all available metals. While my heart wants to say the Windrunner would win I understand that things like atium would definitely give Kaladin a run for his money. What do you guys think?
  3. I think that the Unmade/Odium Spren are already influencing the world and the people in it. As an example I think Taravangian is actually being manipulated by Moelach. Which is ironic considering Taravangian is how we know about Moelach in the first place. "There is one you will watch. Though all of them have some relevance to precognition, Moelach is one of the most powerful in this regard. His touch seeps into a soul as it breaks apart from the body, creating manifestations powered by the spark of death itself. But no, this is a distraction. Deviation. Kingship. We must discuss the nature of kingship." -Epigraph Chapter 82, page 986 hardcover edition Setting up a basement where you drain the blood from people sure reeks of Taravangian's description of Moelach's influence. The Diagram is a misguided (intentionally?) effort at precognition. The diagram even hints that the nature of Taravangian's efforts is a "...distraction. Deviation."
