  1. For the first time in over a week, Rae was finally getting some sleep. Granted, her desk might not be the most comfortable place to rest on, but paperwork made a surprisingly good pillow. "Ow!" Rae jerked awake and clutched her right eye. A straw figure stood a few inches away from her face. Rae stared at it for a few seconds, and then reached out to smash it back into straw. It dodged, and the palm of her hand slammed into her desk. "Ow!" If strawmen had faces, this one would be laughing at her. It wiggled her bag of spare change, which she'd been planning to use up at the corporation-approved vending machines, and then ran into the empty hallway, spare change and all. "That's my money, you storming piece of rust!" Rae yelled. She dashed after the strawman, determined to shred its Harmony-forsaken body to pieces. Closer... closer... she could almost reach it... Rae tripped forwards, and threw her ams in front of her head. A moment later, she hit the ground. Something crunched and she skidded forwards on the hallway floor. Her palms burned from the impact and subsequent skidding. "Ow..." Rae whimpered. She looked up. The strawman, and her money, had disappeared. Apparently, the ship's Elantrian couldn't be spared to heal her injuries right now, but they might be available to check her later. So, that meant that a Resealer had to be summoned to fix Rae's injuries. Unfortunately, the Resealer had to study her injuries, inspect muscles system, x-ray her, and interrogate her on the circumstances of her fall before being able to do anything. And that was just to figure out a design for the stamp. Then, the Resealer had to get some Soulstone (it took forever for the Resealer to find the right-sized chunk of stone), get tools to carve it (why the Resealer couldn't use any of the multiple knives that were on hand was a mystery to Rae), and then get the right ink (bright red, made from Selian squid, because nothing else could do according to the Resealer). And then once the Resealer was finally done with the stamp, a strawman stole it, right out of Rae's hands. Much to Rae's dismay, it looked like she would have to stay in the infirmary tonight. tl;dr version: I was roleblocked.
  2. I was missing the SE RP from you, but this makes up for the lack of it! Asim has a pretty good strategy for survival, but unfortunately it's the most boring one.
  3. This made me laugh. Seriously. Upvotes for you!
  4. You get a sore throat! *inserts an Ookla*
  5. Can we please have more votes/poke votes? As Meta pointed out in QF11, when people don’t post and discuss (or even vote) it just lets the traitors control the vote and win. This is reinforced by traitors killing off talkative players, but this is easily foiled if everybody talks. Elkanah hasn’t responded to my poke vote, and I don’t think they were active in QF11. I think this means that they’re just inactive, so I’m removing my vote. Kipper, you say that Wilson was able to convince you that STINK was guilty and you later figured out that she was guilty by analyzing the surgebinder message. However, Adavantos told me that a sugebinder who had claimed writing that message had been scanned and found loyal.I don’t know if the surgebinder, or Adavantos, or the kandra he has been in contact with is lying (for all I know, they’re all traitors and I’ve been duped) but this is part of a lot of things convincing me of your guilt. I know that my vote has been swinging to and away from you, and I might take this vote off of you later, but this thread needs more votes. Kipper.
  6. Why am I on your list? My suspicions, in no particular order: 1. Kipper. Something feels off about him, and on D2 he and Wilson jumped on STINK very quickly. This is just mostly a gut reaction, so I wouldn't put too much weight into this. 2. Elkanah. Seems inactive. 3. Elby. Enough time to help GM QF11 but not enough time to post in LG15? 4. Phatt. Adavantos pointed out that Phatt is following this topic but not posting, which is suspicious. I agree with him. Edited because I mixed up Elkanah and Elby.
  7. I agree that the eliminators are probably inactive, but I was looking through the MR9 skaa doc and it turned out that the skaa didn't kill anybody for a night or two because they forgot to submit the kill order on time. Maybe something similar happened. Do mistborn kills come before or after traitor kills? In MR9 the skaa didn't kill anybody when Ripple, who was supposed to send the order, was lynched. EDIT: Is Captain Wurum Heron in any way related to Wyrn Wulfed the Fourth? I was reading Elantris again and I kept on reading "Wyrn" as "Wyrm".
  8. You get Elantris, The Mistborn Trilogy, Warbreaker, The Stormlight Archives, Alcatraz, Reckoners, Alloy of Law series, The Rithmatist… plus Hoid. *inserts computer*
  9. You get a receipt. *inserts an obligator*
  10. Has anybody seen Elkanah, Elby, or Biggoron recently? I don't remember seeing any of them post in here for a while. Hellscythe, you're making me suspicious of Kipper again. And I just typed up a nice long alternate hypothesis to prove that I don't have confirmation bias against him! Someone please scan Kipper before I tunnel myself into SE-induced insanity.
  11. You get a dead body. It has a few spikes in it. Hopefully the spikes still have a bit of hemalurgic charge left in them. *inserts a pillow*
  12. Alright. Alternate hypothesis: Kipper is loyal. The vote on Shallan came a few minutes after Wilson's vote, so Kipper probably was ninja'd by Wilson. If he wanted to be sneaky about lynching Shallan, he could just not vote and Feruchemically place a vote on Shallan. Voting for Shallan in thread placed suspicion on him, and why would a traitor want to attract suspicion? Kipper went after Wilson before she revealed herself as a traitor. This placed attention on both of them, and why would traitors want attention? It's very possible to tunnel on Kipper when he is innocent. (MR9 Deathcluth and Kipper, anybody?) It's happened before, and it can happen again. Changing the vote to live is just something you do to survive. It's better to keep yourself (a confirmed loyal) alive than someone else (unconfirmed and a possible traitor) alive. After all, people in SE don't want to die. End of alternate hypothesis. I'm still suspicious of Kipper, which could be just confirmation bias. The problem is that I can't tell what's reasonable suspicion and what's confirmation bias anymore. Either I'm onto something and I'm horribly wrong. Can somebody please respond and help me sort out my suspicions?
  13. How much of the Warriors series have you read?
  14. Sending Cats Into Elantris Not Cunning Edgedancers MISTBORN
  15. I'm still not convinced that Kipper is innocent. In fact, I'm even more convinced that Kipper is a traitor now, because of the vote swap. I understand wanting to live, but... changing the vote to stay alive seems like something a traitor would do. So, Mr. (Ms? Mrs?) Mistborn, if you're still taking these votes, can you kill Kipper for me? EDIT: retracted vote for possible confirmation bias.
  16. In scenario 2, STINK can't speak if his death causes you to turn... so that only rules out scenario 1. I think scenarios 2 and 3 are the most likely. Unfortunatley, I don't know if I want to be right or wrong -- if I'm right, yay for thinking skills (but Hellscythe is a traitor)! If I'm wrong, yay, Hellscythe is still loyal (but I'm getting the wrong reads on things)!
  17. Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I'm not sure if knowing whether Hellscythe has turned or not is important, but I do remember there being a big fuss about it in LGa and LGb D1. So, I've thought of a few scenarios leading to Hellscythe being loyal (now) and not loyal (now). They are in order from worst case to best case. 1. There are 2 loyal hemalurgists. Mailliw dies D1, and at some point BB Forges STINK into something that is not a hemalurgist. Since there are no loyal hemalurgists left, Hellscythe turns. This means that Hellscythe has turned quite early and knows the identity of a kandra and a feruchemist. Needless to say, this is not good. The 2 people who claimed to Hellscythe are traitors. 2. There are 2 loyal hemalurgists. Mailliw dies D1, and at and at some point BB Forges STINK into a hemalurgist. When STINK dies, Hellscythe turns. I don't think this is very likely. STINK said that BB Forged him to make sure that our loyal Forger(s) don't get to Forge a loyal crewmember into a hemalurgist. BB knew that STINK was loyal, so why Forge him into a hemalurgist? Why not Forge a traitor to make sure that Hellscythe turns even more quickly? The 2 people that claimed to Hellscythe are traitors. Or maybe a traitor Hellscythe says that two of his teammates have claimed to him as hemalurgists. 3. There are 3 loyal hemalurgists. Mailliw dies D1, and at and at some point BB Forges STINK into something. After STINK dies, there is still one loyal hemalurgist alive. Hellscythe hasn't turned. This means that out of Alfa and the yet-unnamed hemalurgist, one of them is lying/not loyal. I don't see a reason to falsely claim that you are a hemalurgist to someone who can check roles, so one of them could be a traitor hemalurgist. 4. There are 4 loyal hemalurgists. Mailliw dies D1, and at and at some point BB Forges STINK into something. After STINK dies, there are still 2 loyal hemalurgists alive. Hellscythe hasn't turned. This is the best case scenario and hopefully is the true one. However, almost everyone that Hellscythe voted for turned out to be loyal. The only person Hellscythe has voted for who isn't a comfirmed loyal (PK) never got lynched. Of course, if this isn't important at all, please tell me so I stop obsessing over Hellscythe's loyalty.
  18. Well, at least it's not a multiple choice test. Do you study metaphysics?
  19. Kipper, I know that D1, you were the third person to vote for Shallan, and you voted immediately after Wilson did. We know that Shallan was lynched to save BB from dying. D2 you and Wilson jumped on STINK, who is confirmed loyal. Later, you went after Wilson until she was lynched. I'm thinking that it could have been an elaborate ploy to deflect suspicion from you, because you went after Wilson so early. Do you have anything to say about this, Kipper?
  20. I have no expertise in philosophy whatsoever... so I'll take a shot. I wonder how badly I can misinterpret a question... 1. What is there? Let us assume "there" a the place inside my mind that I am thinking of. It is a non-physical, entirely imaginary place, based off of various images I have seen over my lifetime. In one visualization, it has tall green grass on a hill. There is a leafless tree on/near the top of the hill, and it is pretty knobby. I don't know what type of tree it is, but I know it isn't a coast live oak or a maple tree. Coast live oaks don't lose their leaves, and it's too short to be a maple tree. It looks pretty lifeless there. Well, there's no animals or insects as far as I can tell, but there's plenty of grass. The grass is very green and uniform -- no flowers or other plants on the hill(s?) except for the tree. It's probably an invasive plant, and it definitely can't be from where I live because the native grass where I live is bunchgrass. The sun is rising to my (assuming that I'm even there) left, beyond the hills. It's providing a nice backlight to everything there, but the sky is rather murky. It isn't the murky of stormclouds everywhere, but it's more like the murkiness of mud. There's a slight breeze causing the grass to ripple and wave. The sun is backlighting the grass and turning it a very yellow-green. Some blades of grass have drops of dew collected on them. Of course, the next time I visualize "there," it's going to be a completely different place. This is the nature of "there" -- it changes constantly. However, this iteration of "there" is closer to a polluted place with invasive species wiping each other out. Now I'm starting to think pipes... Did I answer the question in a satisfactory manner? Is this even metaphysics?
