  1. I actually did read Mitosis, It was really great. I suppose I just forgot to list it.
  2. Oh yes, that was the icing on top!
  3. I have an idea on this topic. What if the magic system in "The Silence Divine" is Odium's. The one about sicknesses granting powers. Nothing affects my mood quite like being sick. And it would be easily spread to others. I realize that TSD takes place on Ashyn but perhaps that was the first world Odium landed on. The Coppermind wiki currently states that Ashyn doesn't have a shard, but that's not to say it never did.
  4. I also really loved Susebron. For the reasons you stated. It was a twist I definitely didn' t see coming. Lightsong however just made me laugh far too often and I'm a sucker for well written comedy in books.
  5. Did anyone else find the scene where they check into the inn completely hilarious. It really made it stand out that there was something wrong with every single one of these characters. It reminded me of a scene in a play. Wax breaking open windows, Steris was outlining possible crazyness, Wayne was trying to trade his remaining shoe for the innkeep's hat, Melaan was carrying skulls in her luggage and then along comes Marasi... "finally" I thought, "the voice of reason, the only one normal in the group"...nope gravedigging. Each of these people is just deeply disturbed and I loved it.
  6. KRISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was my assumption anyway.
  7. Well the original Mistborn Trilogy was one of the most complete stories I've ever read I loved every minute of it. Way of Kings showcased one of the most beautiful worlds in the cosmere. (On par with Babylon Restored in Firefight in terms of beauty) Elantris' Reod was one of the most frightening ideas I've ever read of. All in all I think I'm going to have to give it to Mistborn for pure nostalgia and that moment at the end of it all in HoA. (I actually screamed and punched the sky I was so happy!)
  8. I actually own a copy of Rithmatist and would enjoy reading the Alcatraz books as well. (I'm pretty fond of children's books.) I actually want to cosplay one of the Parshendi. I've got some interesting ideas for how to make that work, (I may have to do a female as my beard just won't grow to an impressive length.) I loved Shadows of Self...Also Bands of Mourning. XD
  9. I am definitely loving Steris now! She's come along way since AoL. In fact I don't think there is a single character in this era of Mistborn novels who I dread reading. (Game of Thrones it was Catherine Stark, her chapters were like dental work.)
  10. That was my initial question as well but then I considered that the way Hoid gets around it's likely he was a coachman for a very brief amount of time. Wayne would have been the dangerous one in that situation. The way Wayne remembers voices and facial expressions, I would gather that Wayne would have recognized him flat out had Hoid not been lightweaving.
  11. This scene was actually one of my favorites from the whole book. In addition to actually meeting Sazed post-Ascension, I thought it was a great explanation as to why God would let terrible things happen in the world. It made me see Harmony as less of a Sadist and more of a protective figure.
  12. I went about this topic in a much different way. I thought about pre-existing superheros/super powers out there that I think are really super cool. I went for one of my favorites Lelouch Lamperouge from the anime Code Geass who is super smart and has the ability to force others to his will. After picking this character whose power I think would be the most fun to have. I came up with a compound that sounds super familiar to anyone who's been reading this board before me...that's right it's Double Zinc!!!!
  13. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is James. I started reading Mistborn about 6 years ago. I fell in love with the series and when I finished that up I started reading Elantris, and then Warbreaker. I'm happy to say I'm nearly caught up with Sanderson. I've read both Stormlight books, Elantris, Emperor's Soul, Warbreaker, Mistborn 1-4, (I'm on shadows of self at the moment.) and I've read Steelheart and Firefight as well. I just can't get enough of Mr. Sanderson's work (especially the cosmere stuff) I'm looking into buying Dangerous Women, and Shadows beneath soon. Aside from Brandon Sanderson, I like watching movies, anime, playing videogames, I'm a cosplayer(I hope to do one from a Sanderson novel soon, probably Dragoncon 2015), all that nerdy jazz. I'm glad to be part of this forum finally instead of just stalking around trying to avoid spoilers.
