She's not blaming Harmony for her death, she's blaming Harmony for breaking Wax's heart. Twice, by the time of her death.

"Mentioned in the Words of Founding" does not equal "Everyone knows about it." See also: The fact that Hemalurgy is almost entirely forgotten despite its pivotal role in the events leading up to the Catacendre and its mentions in the Words.

Coinshot or Tineye. In that order.

Hoid is in every Cosmere story save Sixth of the Dusk and Shadows for Silence. And clearly, we need a Mark Sheppard for Hoid.

In addition, spikes damage the spiritweb. On Roshar, such damage allows spren to come in and work their magic, what if on Scadrial the Shards can speak into the minds of damaged souls?

Duralumin Compounder. That has potential to be terrifying

I don't think any trust that Vin might have displayed would have had a feruchemical origin. Hoid's prime motive with Kelsier was to be underestimated (hence the obviously fake "blind skaa" disguise), with Shallan it was to be trusted (hence the Allomancy, which by WoB was one of the emotional Arts, and the pep talk). With Kaladin, as I recall Hoid very quickly established the facts that "Yes, I know about the Surgebinding" and "All I want is a story." (And really, who was Kaladin going to tell? He didn't trust storming Dalinar with the surgebinding, and he's the next best thing to a boy scout that Kaladin's ever going to meet, and the rest of Bridge Four weren't exactly in a position to do anything about Hoid) That's not freely given trust so much as it is coerced trust. Back to Vin, I saw a theory on here (a surprisingly valid one, IMO) that her bronze earring allowed her to pierce through anything hiding Hoid's Investiture from the world, whereupon his Invested pulse signature returned an answer of "Allomancy + Lightweaving + Odd healing ability + What have you" and tipped her off to his oddness. If she didn't have that, then it would depend on his goal, again. To be underestimated? The "blind skaa" defense would work even worse on Vin than it did on Kelsier. To be trusted? He has no real leverage on her that wouldn't immediately cause her to flip out, nor would she take kindly to a Soothing touch. Beyond those goals, we don't know anything. -
It would make sense. Preservation would align itself with the relationship, and push Sazed to keep them together. Ruin would prefer the relationship broken up, and so would push Sazed to break them up. That plus Sazed's guilt on the matter - "I have to get Wax back to Elendel, but to do so would be to cause him the pain I felt with Tindwyl." And so we have the perfect storm of guilt and procrastination that allowed Paalm to throw it all in Harmony's face, in perhaps the worst way possible.

I thought piercing copperclouds was only possible through levels of power attainable through Hemalurgy. Which until Ruin steered Vin's mother to do it was a closely guarded secret of the Lord Ruler. Maybe if Ruin had chosen a noble Mistborn to serve as his pawn, the server would have gotten to the Houses, but with Vin it remained a secret.

Not even remotely. She did, after all, see her father get stabbed to death in front of her.

Updated Allomantic power: Tineye! One of the fun ones!

[Spoilers] Elantris Anniversary Reactions
Landis963 replied to Chaos's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
That situation depends entirely upon whether you think Amazon is being greedy or merely stupid. If greedy: They intentionally pasted the new cover over the old book to get you to spend more money. If stupid: They neglected to follow the directions regarding the new file. There's a whole thread of people who share your situation, but I can't link it because phone. -
How did you phrase the issue?

You say that as though it was Harmony's plan they fall in love, and lots of things would be much simpler, especially to an viewpoint that can see the future, if they had not. Furthermore, we have evidence that another Shard is muscling in on Harmony's turf, and said Shard is unlikely to have Scadrial's best interests at heart (this goes double if it's that Shard serial killer that's supposed to be trapped in Greater Roshar). If Harmony means to defend his people, I have difficulty thinking of a scenario where he wouldn't manipulate a human pawn of some kind. Paalm just made the inevitable call-out that much worse.
-
This would be the cover that loudly proclaims "10000 Words of Bonus Content!" In a nifty little seal thing? Amazon really needs to be more careful about that.
-
Harmony doesn't recognize it. If I was on my computer I'd pull up all the quotes that sparked the hypothesis in the first place, but it's in the shop and I'm on my phone.
-
I guess the next step would be to go to Tor and inform them that the updated version hasn't been received by Amazon.
-
Is the spike metal, though? Because it bears a suspicious resemblance to soulstone that's been hardened.

Those cracked me up, both in the broadsheet ad and when Wax mentioned them to TenSoon.

Lo and behold, the new edition of Elantris has arrived, and the chasm has indeed changed position - but it still doesn't match Brandon's drawing.

Is Raoden drawing the Chasm Line altered from the original book? I ask because it doesn't seem to match the version drawn by Brandon, the basis for that thread with the alerted Aons.
-
See, I tried that, and the nincompoop who answered the phone didn't get that the update should be available by now and isn't.

I thought Warbreaker took place before the Mistborn trilogy, so unless Aslydin was a worldhopper before then (plausible) it's not her.

Broadsheet plus last chapter = ? (Comeric SPOILERS)

The Well of Ascension was blue, as I recall. I see no reason to assume that this new shardpool isn't Harmony's. I seem to recall a WoB that said the Well isn't around anymore.- 24 replies

I thought it was just his skill as a method actor that drew MeLaan to him.
