    Kandra Blessings

I don't think that it's 'less than full' and 'more than half' per spike. I think it has a lot more to do with the spirit web. I think that Hemalurgic spikes 'patch' portions of one person's spirit web onto someone else. The more patches you add to a spirit-web the more changes you make. Like patching clothes. One patch isn't going to warp someone very much (I'm discounting Zane because his instability was caused by Ruin's voice in his head, not through his spike directly.) no matter how good of a charge it has. But when you have more patches then original cloth, you get a radical change like with the Koloss. It would also be subject to the kind of charge a spike or 'patch' has. Inquisitors can have dozens of Allomantic and Feruchemic spikes and still remain mostly human and relatively sane. But give one guy four 'Potency' spikes and he's warped almost beyond recognition. Kandra are basically animals, but you need at least two spikes to warp them significantly.
  2. Erm... Spiked mammals aside... As far as toxicity goes, I don't think Brandon's put much thought into it beyond "make sure you burn off your metals before you sleep" I doubt chromium Mistings can dissolve metals not in someone's body, but if they could it would be on a micro scale. Allomancers burn small shavings of metal to get their power. It would take hours and hours of dissolving shaving sized pieces of steel to eat away a single steel girder. Maybe a hand-sized bite if it's a chromium savant. Dissolving metals in another's body: Since those metals are "dissolved" not "burned" I think we can assume they are able to dissolve metals inside a person who is not an Allomancer. (Same goes for Aluminum Mistings and metals within themselves.) The only stipulations would be that the metal would have to be very close to allomantically pure for Chromium or Aluminum to dissolve it. This makes me think of an Aluminum Gnat poisoning someone's meal with toxic metal and burning off the toxins, making it seem like the other guy simply got sick. Next thing you know, guy's dead and the "Gnat" gets off Scott-free
  3. Steris hasn't shot anyone yet. I vote Marasi.
  4. I don't think that Marsh is an "Evil" figure exactly. If people thought he was "Evil" why would followers of sliverism practice openly? Ironeyes is more like the Grim Reaper, He's not a bad guy, he's just doing his job, and:
  5. Wayne said Miles was "Double Gold." I don't know whether that was what you called a gold/gold twinborn or if he made it up on the spot. I like Double as the noun. He's a Double Steel. She's a Double Bronze. Compounding can still be the verb though. Don't forget that steel affects more than just land-speed. Sazed's attacks on the Kandra guards in HoA were sped up, and he was standing in place at the time. As for other cases of compounding, here's my take: Pewter- Brute + Thug = Hulk Tin- Better senses than savants, but you'd be able to use them separately, Feruchemests store sight in different metalminds than hearing and so forth. Iron- I'd call this guy a Diver. He'd sink into the ground like it was water. Steel- Dibs. Zinc- Mate in 32. Brass- Better wear metal underpants because I'm guessing you'd burn the clothes off your back. Also, if you set a house of fire by accident, you'd probably asphyxiate. Copper- I could see a Double Copper being able to go back and actually walk though his memories like he was on a holodeck. (Wait did I just reference Star Trek before mentioning Star Wars? Rust and Ruin! Fetch me caffeine!) Bronze- I'm thinking of wakefulness as being clarity of thought. You don't think faster, you think better. Gold- Already explained. Bendalloy- ... Cadmium- ... Alluminum- I'm thinking of Identity like self awareness, It lets you see yourself as you truly are, better than an Auger even. It might also help defend against emotional allomancy. Duralumin- His Charisma is over 9000! Chromium- Vegas Baby. Nicrosil- ... Some of these might only be useful if you have the full set like TLR and (probably) Marsh. Kind of like how in Allomancy aluminum and Duralumin are only useful to Mistborn.
  6. If I'm remembering correctly, one of the chapter headings in the first book alluded to him wearing some kind of ceremonial piercings because the Worldbringers thought he was the Hero of Ages. Anyone have a page number?
  7. [General Reaction] Wasing liking the reading the read. Wasing the top of the readings. [/General Reaction] Had to love that part.
