Mid-Range Game 67: 'Twas the Night Before SA5
Amanuensis replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
On TKN? There's not enough to elaborate on, in my view. He's just as here as the rest of them to me atm, which isn't a lot. I need more than a few conciliatory posts or for a post that especially rings Villager bells. Coffee is among my exe options, but I don't see them as a productive exe today, given a red flip on her doesn't really incriminate anyone specifically. Ideally I want the person we exe today to set us up for the most success going forward, regardless of their alignment. Sadly like... that's no one, given most of my PoE is just "Alive and not overtly village." Possible that I'm being pessimistic here, but I really don't know. I have zero confidence in anyone's flip being one or the other- 1220 replies

I see no harm in competing wagons Ash I’m currently undecided on TKN. At the moment I think the only thing that could convince me he’s village is him helping us exe an elim, and even then, I’d have to consider the possibility of a bus, especially after I say this- 1220 replies

Mid-Range Game 67: 'Twas the Night Before SA5
Amanuensis replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
TBH after finally getting a decent nights sleep (and finally having a day off today, which is a huge lift on my spirits), I’m more open to accepting V!you. But to explain what raised my hackles earlier this cycle: I’m not a fan of preflipping in general, especially preflipping players as red with minimal evidence and this close to exlo. So when you preflipped Araris red and used it to vote Coffee, I got the impression of you trying to get us to kill a LHF Villager instead of Araris, which regardless of his alignment, would put the village in a precarious position. I couldn’t see the logic of Village Aeo going for someone who only participated in an exe once, and an exe of someone you believe to be elim, rather than the elim you believe we nearly exed. Ultimately it’s your (possibly exaggerated) insistence / confidence in things I myself am not confident of. Every time you mention my Lurcher claim in comparison to yours gave me weird vibes. Felt like you were trying to interfere in my IKYK games in a way that genuinely suggests TMI. This cycle you said something along the lines of “How do you do it” and to me it felt like a cheeky “My team isn’t buying it but we are avoiding you for now.” Basically asking a question you already knew the answer to for content. While I love to joke around and troll as much as the next guy, fundamentally I think there’s a difference between controlled chaos (where everything has an explicit or implicit purpose) versus chaos for the sake of chaos. The latter is very punishing for the village, most especially if you yourself are village, and ultimately protects the real elims (if you’re not one) by distracting the rest of us with unnecessary noise / doubt. The most important thing I think any Villager can do is prove they are village. Not by defending themselves, as Kas has said before, but by putting in the genuine work. The fact that your first move after the Aeo train developed was to create a lot of worlds in which I’m elim didn’t boost my confidence for v!you either. The last thing we need right now is people to get overly paranoid about me and cost the village a win @Kasimir what if we vote Ash today and formally request the SK to kill JNV, or vice versa? Theoretically the SK needs to hit red today or there’s a huge chance of them losing- 1220 replies

Okay so I’m still not going to self-protect. If the elims or the SK want to kill me, today is their last chance. Might protect Kas again today but seriously considering RNGing between Neil and the non-voters that we don’t end up exeing today. Is it that I’m still alive and haven’t exed an elim yet?- 1220 replies

Allegedly Village: Brandon: Lock Village but clearly not great at blocking kills Kasimir: Very likely V, maybe SKas, but if E and misleading me I will cry C2 Araris Voters: Sad neil: Don’t know enough about him to confidently say V, but I think we can resolve him later if E Covfefe: Very wishy-washy and a bit of a doomsayer. Both of those things are red flags to me but Kas says it’s within their V-meta so /shrug Aeo: I seriously don’t believe she’s Village at this juncture but again deferring to Kas’ judgment here C1/C2 Non-Voters Aloha/Illwei: filter dodged then pinchhit. Need to see more, definitely not the one putting in Kill orders if E JNV: Active enough to put in kills TKN: Active enough to put in kills Ash: Active enough to put in kills I really have no meaningful opinions for the Non-Voters beyond that due to their comparably minimal thread activity @Ookla the Destined if we exe the SK today will their kill still go through? ED1T: Forgot Araris: nearly exed C2, would have been guaranteed if I didn’t switch over for a YOLO tie. Very odd a Cash voter got shot instead of an Araris voter if he’s Red as that either means he was bussed or his team was not present for EoD ED2T: Quick someone post so I can announce who I’m protecting tonight- 1220 replies

Regardless of whether Araris is V or E, there are only two options. Elims voted Araris or declined to vote. - Neil had Araris preference over Cash (why?) - Aeo had Araris preference then gave up after his survival (why?) - Coffee has been fixated on Araris and I (why?) If the elims are in the non-voters, then why kill Devo? How? Were any of them even around enough to make that decision? I do not get the impression whoever submitted that kill did so without being on around EoD, which leaves who?- 1220 replies

Mid-Range Game 67: 'Twas the Night Before SA5
Amanuensis replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah idk. Logically she should have never started openwolfing this game in the first place, or at least stopped after it kept making people vote and sus her. The fact she keeps tripling down and then using AtE when she starts reaping what she sowed is just not a confidence booster to me. The only world in which any of this might make sense to me is if she is the (fake) real Brandon dodging the NK, but no. Here's my problem. When half of your posts are chaos and elim claims, and half are genuine self defense posts or solving attempts, and there's no clear delineation or admittance that "yeah I'm trolling sometimes, I'm sorry, I'll stop," how on earth can any villager take what's being said seriously? I just literally can't and if she's not going to help she needs to get. If she isn't the SK or a self-sabotaging elim, she's just plain anti-village and more helpful to us dead. Possible I'm being harsh there but like. Actions have consequences & in my view she's muddied the waters far too much already for me to have any reason not to believe she is evil. Her behavior is not village in any meaningful sense, regardless of what her alignment actually is.- 1220 replies

I don't even care about her C2 as much as I do her C3. She started today preflipping Araris red and instead of voting him again, voted Coffee, who also voted Araris with her, because she believed they are paired (why prioritize Coffee over Araris?). I just can't get over that.- 1220 replies

I don't know if the Araris exe would have existed or persisted without me, but the cycle did feel pretty stagnant around when I brought up having trouble finding any great alternatives. Also I just got to work so expect minimal and sporadic activity until I get off in 9 hours.- 1220 replies

TBH I’m fond of you playing Devil’s Advocate, where reasonable. You frequently see things where I don’t and Vice Versa, hence things like our differing Wizard read this game, which helps me either commit to my intuition or relent from my position. Also think it helps you too. I guess where I’d like to see your thoughts most rn would be this: What are your conclusions about the C2 exe? V/V or E/V? Why? As an extension, what teams feel the most coherent when you look at both Kill choices and Wagonomics? ED1T: @Kasimir I also remember you doing some predictions about when the kills most likely would have been put in. Does that significantly narrow our suspects?- 1220 replies

In the (impossible) possible world that my claim is a lie, I don’t think it would be the end of the world if the (fake) real Brandon either claimed today or tomorrow. (Fake) Brandon could play IKYK games like I have if they feel like it. They could also wait to see if they ever get endangered by the exe and keep working in the shadows. The choice is (not) theirs. Re:JNV I think I’ll need some personal interactions with them before I can decide how I feel about their slot. While I have been taking all your reads into consideration for mine (at least on the priority side), I currently think JNV could go either way.- 1220 replies

Honestly very weird to look at. If E!Araris, where are his teammates? They’d either need to be bussing him or too inactive to help I feel it worth pointing out, which Aeo should rediscover with an ISO, that I was one of the first pushing for the Araris exe. I decided a rand was okay because Cash was a slot that needed to be resolved regardless, as I didn’t think we’d find a good way to read him anytime soon whereas I believe v!Araris could still make himself known, and because I’m merciful. So her big post where she puts me on most teams is just confusing tbh and not really convincing me to vote elsewhere. I can see Neil/Aeo being teamed tbh, hence their collective drop. While towncores are fairly normal in mafia outside our forum, I’m always cautious of players who try to create them, particularly when they volunteer themselves for it, which is why I’d ignored Neil’s suggestion in the first place. IIRC TKN publicly opposed it which is an interesting datapoint too (speak of the Ninja and he shall appear). The way I see it, Aeo’s views of the game keep evolving way too drastically, and the blatant openwolfing isn’t helping if she’s village. Logically feels inconsistent and/or opportunistic. I might even drop her further tbh. The crux of today should be working out if Araris is V or E without an exe, if we can, and developing teams from there. Game feels very solvable rn, it’s just a matter of if Araris was getting bussed or if his team were too inactive to care or he’s village and the elims propped up his exe to delay. In 2 of 3 of those worlds, Aeo looks very shady with her pushes today, hence my current vote. gonna post now to see the ninjas cause it’s not giving me the prompt to load them without refreshing the page C1 Votes Colored: Archer/Paradigm (4): Araris Valerian/Pookla, Ravenclawjedi42/Participle, TheRavenHasLanded/Ravens, The Wandering Wizard/Raveness JNV (1): Kasimir Aeoryi/Resolute (3): Cash67/Rich, Aeoryi/Resolute, Devotary of Spontaneity The Wandering Wizard (1): Archer/Paradigm Ravenclawjedi42 (2): neil the beguiled, Amanuensis No Vote (5): Ash, TKN, JNV, Alpha, Coffee Donde está la elims?- 1220 replies

I didn't understand the Ravenclaw issue and how it related to Devo. I also had no grounds to read Devo any which way, so was exploring your read for clarity. Which is why my read pyramid went from to I wasn't quite willing to place Devo in SSV because the categories are my personal reads, of which I had none of Devo, so I pushed her to the far left (lowest priority) as a result of yours. Unlike Araris, I had reasons to v-read you- 1220 replies
