  1. To be honest, that was what I thought up at first (the Steris thing - though I have some doubts about that being the only thing). And I hadn't thought about the kandra - though I was under the impression that all Kandra were under the service of Harmony now (not that that doesn't mean that there might be one or two or more that would turn against them.... But it also makes sense, since the longer one's body is dead, the harder it is for a Kandra to replicate hair (if I recall correctly), and Bloody Tan had "thinning hair", which could be the Kandra being unable to correctly replicate the hair. So many questions... now I'm even more excited for the book to come out.
  2. Illustrator. Like in the way Shardblades are good for the soul, breath is good for the soul, or in the way Hemalurgy's good for the soul?
  3. Thanks for the all the information! I'm going to be referring to this place over and over again - and now I understand why they have us do this thing. Also, ChullRider - I made my icon, but earlier today I found out that I used the iron symbol instead of the steel one, so now I've got to fix that up. Derp.
  4. What I think to be interesting is that the book specifically mentions Hemalurgy, as it's already been established. While Steris is doing all the wedding-planning, Wax is devouring that book - and the last two sections are what intrigue me, talking about how Hemalurgy, being "good" now, should be used. Later on in the chapter, Marasi and Wayne ask Wax what's wrong with him, and why he's been growling all the time, like he's made a bad life decision. Wayne chalks it up to the hat, but then again, it's Wayne. And then Wax sees Bloody Tam, but nobody else does. Basically, my idea is that Wax is using Hemalurgy. Perhaps, while reading the book, he learned how to do it, and during a fight with a criminal, perhaps, he made a spike and is using it. In HoA, we have several examples of those affected by Hemalurgy receiving hallucinations - and that could be what caused Wax to see his old enemy. Now, how this happens I don't know yet - perhaps it has to do with Miles referring to Trell (who's also mentioned in Hero of Ages, while Sazed is fixing the world, fun fact), but I suspect that we'll be learning about some more cosmere-related things related to Hemalurgy within the book. Especially considering what was in the Ars Arcanum in AoL.
  5. Thank you! When I have time later today, I'm going to have to look for a thread, because I've got an interesting idea for Shadows of Self, which is all based on what we've seen in the preview of the second chapter.
  6. Hmm... well, I'd probably have to choose to be a Windrunner or a Coinshot. Mostly because those abilities would allow me to "fly," and there have been many, many, many times when I thought to myself, "I wish I could Lash my way to X/Steelpush over to Y." Yes, there are other advantages to each (I lost my car keys... oh wait, burn some steel and there they are!/Lash all the things I need to take to each other and then Lash them to me, and I've still got my hands to carry more things), but the psuedo-flying's definitely the best. Though I bet Awakening could be used to make a magic carpet... Also, do I just go to the theories section for theories about as-of-yet unreleased books, or is there a specific section for that?
  7. I'm an artist! I'm also a programmer (which, I could argue, is an art in and of itself)! I butcher songs whenever I try to play my violin! And I love to write things! I've got nothing cosmere-related to make as an application, but I'd still like to join the guild. (Here's non-cosmere displays of my art for those of you who are interested). I've also been looking for motivation to make Cosmere-centric art for a while now, so I hope this'll finally motivate me.
  8. I was told to introduce myself to the forums here, so here I am. Doing that thing. Introducing myself. I am, obviously, a Brandon Sanderson fan, and I'm caught up on all of his cosmere-centered works, except for pretty much every novella except for Emperor's Soul (I'm currently re-reading the Mistborn series to get even more psyched up for the upcoming releases at the end of this year and the beginning of next (I'm not sure if he does his release signings at the BYU bookstore, but I really hope he does because guess where I'm studying (BYU, if I didn't make that obvious enough)). Mistborn is my favorite series of his, though Kaladin is my favorite character out of all the books. I'm studying computer science, and I have a website where I write and publish a comic called Planeswept. I also play Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, StarCraft, and Minecraft. I speak Spanish. I'm also ChullRider's eldest brother, for those of you that know him or are aware of his existence. And that was me, doing that thing that the forum told me to do. Now it's off to fill my copperminds with valuable Cosmere theories that I hope I'll actually be able to remember. And maybe figure out what Hoid's up to. Maybe.
