*randomly posts to get in a final post before page 100 happens* *ponders legit-ing it with a tentative Skylar pony I made* *decides that would take too much time and maybe that'll happen on Question 15* ...we do ponify vanillas, right? At least Remington has a pony and I'm pretty sure he's one....

I am a poor college student who should be saving money for textbooks. But instead I have an urge to blow like 20 bucks on either some e-books (maybe Sanderson, maybe others), a Scott Sterling t-shirt, a Pun Diddley t-shirt, or an Agents of Shield t-shirt. None of which things I'd get to use much at college anyway because studying and class dress codes. *random announcement over* Oh and also my hold on Words of Radiance came in at the library so YAY.

I didn't use to think pugs were cute. At all. But I think I'm being converted....

The job I applied for at college (proofreader for the university press) offered me the position! Now to decide if I should take it or try for music accompanist instead.... -

xD Maybe this redhead just lives in the subconscious realm and only comes out when one's not looking for him or her...Skylar doesn't even know of her mysterious roommate, or at least forgets immediately after this taming session. Like the Silence. O_O *cough* Sorry, that got a bit crazy--wait, why am I apologizing for that in this thread of all places. xD Yay, thanks! That's a good sign.

The new morning found Skylar yawning. Last night had not been a party by any stretch of the imagination--at least her apartment hadn't been in the main path of the invading forces. It was more like a family of the termites had randomly decided to take a detour and of course she lived on the first freaking floor and there went her front door and most of her chairs. She’d had to stay up late taking down her shower curtain and taping it in the opening they’d left. Better than nothing at all, though. Needless to say, she’d never been more thankful for coffee—she wouldn’t go in completely zombie-fied. And it certainly helped make the oatmeal a bit more palatable…oh for the days of granola or Fruit Loops or waffles. But that couldn’t be helped, and food was food, even if it could use some variety (or even flavor at all. That would be nice). So she ate her oatmeal and drank her coffee and tried to tame her bedhead before dressing and heading for the church. The walk didn’t take too much longer than normal, though she had to go around a few blocks where the termites had met back up with the main—would that be herd or flock or what was the right term anyway? Storm whatever Epic came up with those sparking things. Hah. Sparking. That was funny. Because her brain was tired and it could shut up now, please. By the time she actually sat down behind her desk, the coffee and walk had worked their magic and she felt pretty ready to work herself. Then she saw what she had to work on. Not the missing lists. OR the--nope, not happening, not first thing in the morning, coffee or not, she’d put together the wounded roster instead. At least they were still alive. No thanks to Mr. Ninja-Panda Epic or any of the others who’d been running around wreaking havoc yesterday. Skylar pulled up the lists that had been submitted and got to work on her computer. She could do something to help restore a semblance of order, even if it was small and didn't really help anybody in the long run.... Stop thinking like that, girl. You don't have to smile over this, but don't get all grouchy either. You'll get to sleep tonight and that'll make it better, just hang on.

Quick question, is Dr. Game the only doctor in town, or would there be additional sources for the list of wounded Skylar's putting together?

So since Dalles is starting a new day soon here and that means Skylar can make her first official post...here come the obnoxious detail questions that I probably should be winging except for my perfectionist issues. xD What on earth does a secretary do in the morning after getting up and dressing (like is there cereal available or just oatmeal or something, would she pack a lunch or take money to buy one, and btw would she be in an apartment that would've been impacted by squirrels or termites at all)? Once she goes to the church (is she taking over from anyone or is there not a night shift), what would a good basic first duty be for her to settle into? And is there anything more interesting than a picture of the sky for me to use as her icon? I made a anime picture of her with the same maker Twi used for the one self-portrait, so I could always use that.... *shrugs*

I dreamed I was sort-of chalk-fighting the White Witch from Narnia. Mostly by scribbling Lines of Vigor at her in the carpet of the room we were in? Then she started drawing a circle of blue magic and I was trying desperately to destroy it before the magic got strong enough to attack me; finally dawn came and she disappeared.

Yes, she's--well--the receptionist. Sort of a glorified secretary, if I'm remembering rightly. And she's already had two whole lines of dialogue. (Not counting McKeedee's ones which are still rather in-character, especially "ninja pandas," despite being written before Skylar Nesbit was a real entity.)

The season summer brings to mind the beach or flowers in the sun--I ran an image search on it and there are some really pretty pictures out there. There was also this one that's a bit different: http://youth.christchurch.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/FeatureImageWEB.jpg *shrugs* Along these same lines, is a picture of the sky a good icon for Skylar, or should I go with a walkie-talkie thing since she's the receptionist, or....?

Possibly--Kobold and I were messaging about it. I'm waiting on final approval and possibly job details before I make any moves, though.
