  1. I assume that your talking about nicrosil. BoM explains it pretty well but in short no that wouldn't work, at least by any means we currently know. Maybe you could possibly soulcast it? On the same note could you soulcast someone into a mistborn or a returned?
  2. You get a lifeless elantrian spiked with all 32 metals and posses all ten honorblades a set of sharplate and trained as a dahkor monk. *inserts curtain rod.*
  3. On the same subject could you store your sense of heat in a tinmind? Now that I think about it tin is a lot more powerful than I first thought.
  4. Simple question can a mistborn use stormlight like they use the mists?
  5. This is a good solution to having to many beats at once. I also had another idea for feruchemy. Maybe different screen and sound effects so music will set the mood for storing or tapping determination and maybe a subtle sound leading someone who is tapping luck. Maybe a more vibrant screen for heat or wakefulness. What do you guys think?
  6. I can't remember who or where this was but somone suggested that you could have more control like for strength you could put all of your strength in you legs then jump really high. Or only store speed from your arms.
  7. What might be really cool is a subtle beat for each metal so by the end of the movie you've leaned the different beats or possibly instruments so you just know what's being burned. Now just imagine a fight scene line that.
  8. There's a difference between being really good and being a savant note that spook was already really good with tin but it wasn't until he started to not only constantly burn it but flare it that he became a savant. Same with wax he was already a ridiculously good coinshot but once he went to the roughs he started burning it a lot more often daily to the extent that he became a savant. Arguable wax could be a much better savant if he managed to always flare his metal. So in a way orsium yes what you say is true but its like trying to level up past five hundred it can be done but not the way that you usually level up.
  9. If Steven moffet wrote mistborn he would probably have a really lovable character keep dying then coming back repeatedly. It would probably be ham or breeze but he would definitely kill wayne every other chapter.
  10. Scadrial is an earth equivalent planet meaning it roughly follows earths technology timeline. Era 2 takes place in the 1940s when they didn't know how bad cigars are for you. As for quoting I tap on the post and it gives me an option to quote I assume you just have to do the same but click for a computer.
  11. One thing i would love is a complete ars compendium once all of the cosmere is explained. The hemulurgic part could have the same design and style as the one spook wrote.but having history books to compare to the first mistborn era would be awesome.
  12. Well to answer your question stormgate I think that everybody is a misting of some sort. Heres my reasoning with the bar 16 metals you can make alloys of all of them with the good metals so with atium laresium harmonium and the mysterious red metal if it is a good metal 16 potential turns into 64 and that is without the leresium alloys. In total the potential mistings just quadrupled and 16 of those might be able to burn the atium alloys.
  13. Guys I think I may have figured it out but it could be a really big coincidence. Ok so in the metals quick reference guide in the back of SoS it has all of the metals listed in order starting with iron as one and duralumin as sixteen following me so far, well if we have allomancy as a multiplier of one and feruchemy as a multiplier of two so a lurched would have one and a skimmer would have two well when you add those together you get a number that might equal to the effect or effects. Let's take Wax he would add up to four giving him a slight increase in strength through pewter and slight increase in speed through steel, now before you say this theory is crash listen to my reasoning, at the end of AoL Wax goes on fighting longer than he should've bean physically capable of wich inspired a theory that said something along the lines of how his skips gave him pewter, well if his added effect has something to do with pewter then that further proves my theory. Wax has also bean able to do some things in SoS that doesn't make sense like the "twirl" he does in the pits and when he's chasing bleeder at the end could be related to feruchemical steel. As for Wayne his adds up to thirty two wich would be storing connection wich makes a lot of sense for Wayne and his impersonating. There are two things to keep in mind though, the effect in these cases is a very slight boost barely noticeable, and seventeen and above for allomancy and thirtythree and above for feruchemy go into the god metal alloys. Although currently none of this cannot be proved until someone asks Brandon or we get more twinborns. Sorry if this is a bit rushed im at school right now and I don't have much time.
  14. I think I have an answer Elbereth. Once again with the skyscraper thing, you shrink 500 feet to one foot well anything inbetween would essentially shrink to the right scale in this case it would be 1/500 of their or its orthogonal size. Same applies to expanding space except it grows.
  15. What I mean is say there is a Peice of metal five feet away from you, you could increase the distance to say ten feet or decrease it to one foot. You essentially warp the space inbetween you and metal. Once again say you are 500 feet from a skyscraper and you decrease the space between you and the skyscraper, you could then grab on to it stop pulling and be right next to the skyscraper instantaneously.
  16. A while ago I came up with a magic system based off of the metallic arts and there are four abilities that I think everybody would like. Allomancy: Increasing or decreasing the distance between yourself and metals. In other words you could potentially hide a tank behind a lamp post. Feruchemy: Storing the Kinetic energy you absorb or produce. You could potentially store up the kinetic energy you would produce then unleash it in one punch, or you could absorb all of the kinetic energy inflicted upon you.
  17. I think having feruchemical copper would be any students dream.
  18. If you're looking for complete world dominance then double zinc would be your friend but where would the fun be in that, it almost seems like cheating. I would personally choose either steel or pewter for allomancy and copper for feruchemy so i get a good physical boost and a mental one but life still has it's fun challenges.
  19. I always thought that there could be a sport that required certain mistings and ferrings on each team to play. Maybe a modified version of football.
  20. There would be no need for allomancers if you use what sourthen scadrial Has which is a tech based allomancey rather than a biology based allomancy. Besides it doesn't matter of you can get the bubbles to move with you all that needs to happen is for the bubbles to constantly be collapsing and being poor up again simultaneously.
  21. The way i understand the theories is that the bendalloy bubble covers the ship to make it go faster than light. Then a cadmium bubble is used on a room to make the trip only last a few hours to the travelers. Now in order for it to work the bubbles need to constantly be collapsing and being put back up again to keep up with the ship.
  22. Tedcomms this would be a really cool epic but killing you is really easy all that needs to happen is for a group of people to capture and not kill you from there we strap you into a room infront of a Mirror cut off your eyelids wait two hours then kill you. Cool epic major plot hole. That or just launch mirrors at you repeatedly until you accidentally die from one.
  23. I had a very similar problem. I didn't get hooked on Mistborn until about halfway through, but after that I plowed through the other books like nobody's business.
