  1. @Araris Valerian Ehhhh I mean I could, but wind wouldn't kill, only maybe roleblock which could be easier done with someone's nahlrouts. Yeah the plus one isn't much insanity but if I learn a second name it makes using my artificery significantly more risky because I could go insane just from making a ward. I suppose we're reaching a point where caution isn't helpful but ehh. Either I'm an artificer or a namer. Unless I have a physicker to rely on, I won't be able to be both. And there's always my third area I'm in but that one's far less useful currently. I do agree about master's being problematic though.
  2. Okedokie so since i can’t vote on masters, im not gonna look into them, just gonna stick to the current votables. Though. Voting elthe’s is seeming to be less and less useful as more and more just go Surprise im a master! Your votes no longer matter looool! So who we got. We got Fura, the only one we can probably trust to not insta become master. Then again they probably got that much stored up ep that chances are they could just zip up to master as soon as they hit elthe for all we know. Fura Is nice to pm. I look forward to more pm spammage in the future so would like it if they didn’t get expelled but then chattiness doesn’t make someone innocent either Though if we both got expelled the pms wouldn’t stop hmmmmmm thems be ideas If people get lashed we don’t actually know if the roleblock goes through do we? I mean they can say, but, nahlrouts a thing. Even an edema should be able to afford one Overall fairly neutral about fura though Second up, the other enrolled edema still managing tuition, you poor soul Elkanah. I’m inclined to believe they’re a villager given the alleged protect on xino which sorta worked sorta didn’t. Third in the list be me! Burnt! Who despite being positively useless in thread thus far is technically kinda confirmed villager if you trust straw, who just went insane, presumably the sabotage. Because I was truthful when I said i thought Hael, an elim, was a villager. If i was evil that would’ve been a total lie. Therefore, not evil. Definitely needs to actually properly do stuff in thread for sure, but not evil. Devotary- i suppose i agree on elanderas read as far as devs concerned Rath - welcome back to the ranks of the unexpelled! I have no thoughts concerning you and gonna leave you be cause seems unfair to expel someone when they just got back from a temporary hiatus! Elandera- uncertain. Part of me is just growly that they’re voting for me, but i get it as far as my behaviour has been this game. Maybe i’m just surprised they didn’t take the truth reads into consideration with their reads and votes. Araris - For the same reasons i believe myself to be cleared, I consider araris cleared. They truthfully put hael as a leaning village in their list iirc. Therefore not evil. I know straw did linguistic actions cause straw broke one of my wards in the process so I fully believe what they claimed in regards to the reads.
  3. Fair That lack of AI content was why i labelled myself 100% after all, so can't argue And I was best buddies with an elim. Xcept if you trust straw, and trust his truth read, me saying i thought hael was village when it turned out to not be the case would be pretty Alignment indicative if you ask me I don't mind expulsion. Mastery is far too much responsibility and would take me a while to get there anyways. Biggest downside of the scattershooting ep everywhere means i didn't exactly have a good starting point for trying for that Though expulsions not great when only skindancers end up being left in the uni. Buut I'd be free to make contracts all the time! Think of how many contracts i'd spam the imre with! Speaking of. Someone just completed one I put up before things started dieing which was a 'kill someone pls' one. Which is fun. Enjoy the easy coin person? Woulda been ironic if you'd completed it by targetting me with that though Also now i've lost pm buddy no.2 :[ Only one left.... Anyone want company in the pms? I talk and am pretty free with info about what i'm up to most of the time! Imma try do another reads list this cycle, hopefully far more sane and sensical than the last one >> Appologies on how quickly that one derailed btw, I was evidently quite tired... >>
  4. If it helps with the conundrum me listing myself as 100%, that's partly just jest, but also if I was an unbiased person looking at my own posts, I'd probably Lynch me anyways. I'd done noooothing useful. Tbh I often find that to be the case when looking at my own stuff. I'd always lynch me if I wasn't me regardless of if I know I'm good or not. One of those things where you always see your own faults so in that aspect its not really a lie because I do find my behaviour to often be super suspicious, which was what the percentage was following up on Edit: forgot to say- can confirm that straw targetted me because he broke my ward in the process of doing so
  5. I suppose I don't have proof that Hael was a physicker, but I don't have reason to not believe him about that. I have a level in artificery, and after saying that he'd shown interest in maybe helping me make some items for him. Since having someone supplying free grams (even if only single use) to the Edema Elim seems like a pretty great opportunity, so I'm inclined to believe that. The other elevation he was aware of was that I have a level in naming as well, but that hasn't been my priority, so I'm still a single name pleb if I want to even make a ward without possibly going insane I can't have a second name giving me a +1 so yee. The multiclass multidropout Bryn y'all!
  6. From what i recall, you can pm them whenever, but they just can only legally respond if you're in the imre, so its up to you if you tell them you're in the imre for them to respond or not?
  7. ….. Hael why you do this. Welp. So the elims know my first two elevations then. That's fun. So great. Very excited about that. On the plus I at least can tell you Hael was a physicker, and would've become a master this turn. I don’t know exactly how many elevations in that he had, but it think he had at least two so may have gone full? Not sure though. Apparently wasn't self protecting this turn so that was lucky timing on that kill! I. Need to go re-evaluate many things. Our PM's were cryptic at best so I'm not sure how much other information that's in there to relook at but I'll go do another read through or three o_O
  8. Challenge- spot which bits i typed up initially before i got tired and decided sanity wasn’t needed anymore Non-expelled living and sane players Player name - immediate gut feeling- thoughts after rereading - percentage (0% = no suspicion/full trust, 50% no clue/neutral 100% is all the suspicion) Haelbarde - They seem a’ight? Been doing lists breaking down suspicions on people, done a fair bit of rp, presumably cause the plight of the edema, my interactions with them have been good. Some pming too. Hard to actually read because of sibling bias but has seemed fine to me. 30% Elandera- i think they fineish i dont recall things. Though they did suggest getting walin protection before, but skindancers weren’t the one targeting as elan had said but still. Dunno if its worth reading into. Overall … uhhhhh congrats on elebvation?” 50% Burnt - not a lot of talk for the bigger post count. A lot of rp. Very few votes- hasn’t really done any votes since they turned serious. Has previously promised game discussion and not followed through. Happy to chat in pms though when the post/pm ratio allows. 100% Elkanah- I wanna see the rainbow spreadsheet when this is all over, it sounds pretty. Otherwise idk Straw - Hi straw! Sorry i aint been as talky in the pms, that ratio man. Xino - probably good - done all the linguistic stuff. Makes sense for them to be good. Course late game it wouldn’t hurt to do some checking for certainty with them but that's only a worst case scenario thingy because they’re as good as being good as we can rely on currently as far as known actions and all that thingies. Also I appreciate the effort theyve been putting in with all the big posts and the tableys 10% Silber -ehh uncertain - Not a lot to go off of, as hael already brought up, and as they already responded to. When there's not much to go off though, for whatever reason it may be, it always makes me uneasy though. 60% Karnage - you’re doing fine Experience- eh? sure? Devotary - sfine i think Furaaaaaa be okey? Walins read makes it concerning but idk ill think about it another day Araris is…. Araris they be peopleing. They vote a lot. Is tha good or bad. Probably good. If everyone got expelled the village would win. Kynedath - they be a quiet GreenRover- have they done much? I dont recall what theyve been up to Lopen -no bells ringing - Had some good interactions in pms, havent paid a jot of attention to them thread activities Doobely do, typing through the tiredness. Doobleydoo reading through the bleariness. Doobleydoo everyone be evil, Doobley doobely doo. There be elthes. There be many elthes. Thems elvebations be slowing down from lack of people to raise . dont stay up late every night yall. You hit a day you wake early and you know death. Enjoy this thing of uselessnessishness tldr I dont have a clue and i'm tired curious how many masters we about to see do you think many will die again? THings always go nuclear when the masteryies start... tick tock tick tock yknow we've never seen a place go boom. no walin will keep that streak up! someone said he went alchemy right? i dont even know anymore. ye the linguisty boi xino did. Linguistics is such a fun field. i very much enjoyed it in lg18. curious to see whats going to happen with the imre being so much more populated now. kinda scary tbh. Put in lodging people. Them streets be hungrying nom nom okay yeah i sleep. pester me about maybe rewriting that sanely and thoughfully tommorow pls. And make me vote for once. is a bad habbit. Also i need to rp. I haven't rped in a while... my poor tuition. That re'lar inflation. pity you elthe. it lots. I don't need hte reductions i guess but they nice. ANYWAY NIGHT pls dont last second lynch me or anything when i cant respond >> Its terrifying going to sleep when its after nowish when you all start bandwagoning 20 votes on people or something. THough. theres worse things to happen to someone this game than being expelled. Expulsion can be pretty nice tbh. I wonder if any namers have bone. That ones fun.
  9. ookay thats not what i was expecting to see. 2 deaths, a third attack, three expulsions and only 7 8 elevations. wowza things be heating up all right. That was a timely kill on walin whoever did that o_O any later and that would've been rip a field. Although I suppose they'd have waited for other masters to hide behind before incriminating themselves by destroying a field as the only master. Edit: I cant count, theres 8 not 7 elevations
  10. Ah that's a good point. It's something that relies a lot on luck too though. But certainly possible, but you'd be wanting to avoid being voted on. I considered that as something I could do down the track since I scattershot my ep, but I've actually lost a lot of the unused ep I've put in from it cancelling out so. That routes a lot harder to math out I think but if you assumed someone was the luckiest person who dice loved then yeah definitely be possible I'd think
  11. Hm. I do have to echo Haels concern about there being elthes we know little about. Just looking at the post counts, We have xino elk and silba who are all 30+ in posts this game. But zillah and experience with 11 and 13. And walin, the new master, only had 7?? I'm concerned about us getting more masters we know very little about. Cause these people are paying enough attention to be putting in EP and managing tuition, while avoiding being super active and noticeable in thread. They aren't inactive. And chances are the elthe are probably all in different fields right? So they would all have master potential sooner rather than later? Yeah, a lot of them have been elevated simultaneously so probably different fields, uncontested fields possibly too. Now i'm just like o_O about the possibility of a tonne of masters at once. Whats the most we've had at once? I feel like when we got masters everything went nuclear the first time, and the second i was expelled so didn't really care what was happening with elevations, so i've never properly worried about masters before >> tbh i'd be in favour of not letting elthe hit master, on the off chance their a skindancer but village masters can be very powerful allies to have. Hmph i need to go form what opinions i can about the elthe methinks, cause at least some of them have been active enough to be saying things.
  12. "Red ink isn't the worst idea. But would have to get the black out first. Maybe if I got something that bleached it white, that would be a good option for bringing back the colour." She did have a decent stock of different coloured inks at the moment. She had an art project of sorts she was meant to be getting done, but was struggling for ideas on that so hadn't even started work on it. "Hm, not convinced about the Artificery option, but you have a point about the Medica. Things need to be sterilized and bleached clean regularly I'd think. Plus stuff from there might be a tad safer than what the Alchemists use. I'm probably less likely to give myself severe chemical burns from Medical stuff. But I don't really know anything about what they use. I dunno if they have something fancy Plus might be able to yoink some other things in the mean time. I wonder if they'd notice if spare blankets went missing. I could use some new gloves or a scarf, could probably turn a blanket into something useable. Hm. I doubt I'd be able to easily get anything though..." She pondered the options as they neared the building. "We could always check the Medica first? See how busy it is at least. Though there would be student physickers populating it too. Wonder what the story was with the student that was able to save that Newthyl person in time. The one that was kicked out. I wonder how they're doing too, cause it must be pretty rough to go so far in your studies and have your skills highly recognized, to only be thrown out before you're ready. Kinda curious about that whole thing, I wonder if we'll see on the noticeboards one day some fancy article from the physicker savior retelling the events. That sorta dramas always really fun to read." Oh thats interesting. Makes me kinda want to analyse past vote counts now. If someones more motivated or has already done it, having every vote count ever put into a post comparing them, would be interesting to see things like everyone who the insane people voted for, and the list of who voted on the now insane people
  13. Bryn was hurrying along, purely focused on trying to get indoors as soon as possible, only really aware of the path in front of her and the coldness of the morning. She let out a little squeak when something bumped her. She glanced up to see Seoras had joined her in the morning late-to-class jog. "Hey! Trying out a new look with your hair I see." She practically growled. "Mistakes were made." she said with a huff. "I apparently took a study nap in an ink spill. I do not recommend it. Turns out the ink stains! I'll have to find something to get it out, but I don't know a thing about hair stuff. I ain't rich folky enough to invest in any of those fancy oils and stuff people use. I tried just rinsing it in water, hence the drippyness" she shook her hair slightly to demonstrate the obvious. "Maybe there's something in the Imre that would help, i'll have to take a trip there." At this point her regular study buddy Straw had joined them. She gave him a nod and before he could ask, pointed at her hair and said "Ink spill while sleeping. It bad." She paused to think a second "actually come to think about it, the Alchemy lab might have some things in it that could pull pigment or oils out of hair? Certainly cheaper to abscond with that stuff than to find stuff from a store. I mean, as long as I don't have a black streak, I don't care if its replaced with a white streak or is just really unhappy hair for a while. I don't really know what I'd be looking for though... Either of you familiar enough with whats in those bottles and what things do? I'm likely to just grab some toxic acid by accident and burn my scalp off or set myself on fire or something."
  14. Thats fair. Its an area that makes sense to be pursued by a skindancer. Gotta get that counselling to make them bonetars or naming usage orrr mommet usages or whatever other insanity roles there are. Plenty of things that counsellings handy for. So yea, I do agree with the idea that theres most likely going to be an elim physicker especially when theres been 4 physicker elevations meaning between 2-4 physickers out there. Tbh the more elevations happen the more I start realising things like the possibility of having 4 namers out there. or a high leveled namer. anyone else starting to ponder the possibilities of whats out there? like that there could be a bunch of mommets out there already. most games you lose dangerous roles as the game progresses, this game be the opposite >>
  15. I'm not so sure about that. I don't see why someone would come forward to tell thread that they're a protection role. If a villager, the amount of risk it would pose to them would not be at all worth the chance of sparing bard the lynch when even they don't necessarily have a guarantee that bards not an eliminator. Not only would they now be paid a lot more attention to in thread, but would also be a target for roleblocks and potentially attacks or both. Personally i'd reckon that publicly claiming to be a physicker would be near suicide. Yeah they can protect themselves, but if skindancers want to make sure their targets aren't being protected by the physicker, they know exactly who to nahlrout. And I'm not sure what we'd gain from knowing who claimed to protect bard. Yes, maybe they would be evil too if Bard flips evil on the inevitable occasion that he finds his alignment being revealed via writeup, having a name connection would be useful in that scenario. But a skindancer wouldn't want to link themselves so strongly like that. So regardless of alignment, I am very much not surprised no one claimed ownership of that protection.
  16. (game discussion later, for now, rp) Bryn blinked open her eyes blearily. ugh, why is it day already… . Because she'd napped earlier in the day previously, she hadn't been sleepy when it had actually gotten late so she had instead stayed up reading one of the books she'd taken home, and had been taking notes until apparently falling asleep. She rubbed her eyes absently as she pulled herself up onto her elbows. As her hand drew away from her face, she froze. Black ink was smudged all over it. "Uh oh" She jolted up straight, pushing her chair away from the desk. Her once clean and tidy study desk was now covered with patches of a mostly dried inky blackness. "Ooh no nono nopedy nope nuhuh noooo this be bad!" Her hand darted to the ink pot, righting it and capping it off, for what good that was worth. The book she'd been reading had chapters deep black stains taking up around a 6th of the pages. The paper she'd been writing on was a completely lost cause. this is why you actually sleep at sensible hours Byrn and don't stay up all night studying you idiot! My teacher is going to kill me when they find out I ruined this book!. She rushed to clear things off the table and grabbed a cloth to try clean what she could. She paused to throw her long hair into a braid to stop it getting in the way, only to find her dismay multiplied when she felt the crust and oily signs of the ink in her hair. Desk abandoned, she sprinted to the washroom. Once there she took a minute to just take in her appearance. Ink was smeared on her skin where she'd rubbed it. That wasn't too bad. But her hair.... the right side of her head had a large dark stain on the front section. It was patchy. Mostly focused on the ends and middle of the length of hair. With a long exale she began the process of trying to clean up, first washing her face and hands before starting work on her hair. The first rinse just seemed to spread it, but after a few rinses the black had been reduced significantly. Her usually bright hair was still definitely holding some darker streaks, but it wasn't as bad as the solid black was. She worried that she was going to need something more to get this out. She would have to make a trip to the Imre asap. She would go immediately there but classes would be starting soon so she needed to rush. Biting her lip she let out a frustrated sigh and rushed back to her room to gather her things, leaving the book and notes and table as is- would be a job for later- and raced off to class, shoving a piece of bread in her mouth on the way, hair still dripping and slightly stained. Her day was off to a rough start. And it was cold.
  17. (last post before sleep, it rp because elevations are not kind on tuition) The archives were quietening down. Bryn sighed and pulled the book away from her face, closing it softly. If she didn't leave soon it would be harder to walk out undetected. It was always easier to blend in to a group than to just leave solo. Leaning out from her spot she glanced around, looking for feet and listening for movement. Seemed alright. Slipping the book into her shoulder bag she crawled out from underneath the table, and stood, back cracking as she straightened. She rubbed her eyes as she yawned, and rolled her head in a circle, stretching her neck a little. She was very stiff from her long time in that cramped space. Picking up another random book, a thick one that had functioned as a pillow, she began to weave her way through to the entrance of the archives. It didn't take long before a group of students who'd been doing some group study project or something started to leave. She quickly darted just Infront of the group so they were blocking line of sight and made her way out. And before long she was reintroduced with the sad reality that the outside world was not anywhere near as cozy or as warm as the archives. Holding the large book close to her chest she begrudgingly began the treck to her rooms, one step at a time. There was evidence of snowball fights on the way, something that she hadn't done in some time surprisingly. But for now she was looking forward to napping in a bed instead of a shelf so she hurried on. Besides, if she dropped the book she was holding and it got damaged from the moisture, the stakes on her hide and seek shenanigans would become a lot higher all of a sudden. She tightened her grip on it and continued on her way
  18. I admit els post gave me mild panic as i tried to work out whats going on before being excited about rp possibilities, cause that was a awesome idea, bryn would absolutely do that Bryn was tired. She'd spent her day bundled up in the bottom shelf of one of the large bookshelves in the back corner of the archives. She'd been actively avoiding being spotted by any officials in the area since the last terms incidents. It wasn't necessary, but it was a fun challenge. This time she'd arranged a table and some chairs around the spot to hide her from view. Unless someone was bending down she wasn't going to be seen. It had actually been quite cozy, surrounded by the smell of ancient tomes. She had recently discovered that books could be bound with a wax coated thread, and she'd found some books that had used beeswax. They smelt divine. She'd been idly reading through one of them. It wasn't particularly interesting so shed just opened it up, placed it over her face to enjoy the smell and nap. Probably wasn't the best use of time, but it was worth the resulting back ache and grogginess. Besides, the longer she could put off having to go back outside to go through the snow to her lodging, the better. It was far too cold for her liking. I wonder how hard it would be to make a secret hole in the wall here or something and just live here. Free lodging, and easy access to all the books. Quiet too! (also, fun fact. I've legit borrowed a book purely because it was old, pretty and smelt of beeswax and i didn't want to say bye to it so soon Think it was something music related but I don't recall. I didn't read it )
  19. Thats fair, its definitely something I was being careful about how I was wording it. You couldn't tell if i was trying to say if it was likely or not, because that's not what i was trying to say Because we don't know for sure if its a WGG or not, so I was making sure to not be convincing people either way, more so just trying to highlight the possibility and make sure people were aware of it, letting them come to their own conclusions. Well you'd have to include bard in that if it was an Australian thing Its unfortunately a very me thing though for sure. I can guarantee if i didn't have tuition reductions motivating me to post theres a high chance i'd have only posted maybe once a cycle with equally as little info And on that note thats sorta all i've been worrying about up till nowish- finances, getting those reductions. I dunno, starting thread discussion has never been my thing. I don't enjoy the resulting attention Partly why the wgg post was so cautious. I felt that it needed to be said but yeaah. I didn't want to come out swinging proclaiming that bard must be evil from the possibility of a potential WGG and start a bandwagon when he very well may be perfectly innocent. Its a tricky situation in general. Because no one should be punished for successfully surviving an elim attack. In general though, i'm really not the kind of player to lead lynches or to be aggressive or anything Though if i'm honest. I'm not expecting this to be the only instance of the sabotage being blocked. With bloodless, grams, and particular lodgings to help against it, I fully expect to see others survive an attack this game. The circumstances with this being allegedly an organised thing is more why I was concerned about this possibility. Kinda curious as to why not just let people think it was an item that protected rather than telling everyone you survived due to physicking, which if true, just makes you a target for things like bribe the messenger or wind pm spying. Theres a lot of information that has the potential of being drawn out as a result of claiming how you survived. Although being honest and forthright about that from the get go is a point in their favour i think. Though now that there's the lie scan result it makes everything a lot more suspect. Lopens idea of suggesting Bard as a kill target Is not necessarily a bad one. Theres definitely things to be learnt from that result. With there being nobles who have had time to stockpile coin, and three namer elevations, kills are going to be possibilities at this point. I use entirely too much
  20. First of- congrats on surviving what was probably the sabotage! Now, hate to be a debbie downer, But i'm the queen of WGG's and this has my attention (wounded Gazelle Gambits for those who may be unfamiliar). The first terms wgg discussion wasn't something that seemed really plausible, but this... Now this being a legit predict and protect is entirely plausible, and i hope it is the case, but of course with every successful elim attack protect there must always be that seed of suspicion and hint of wariness. but. Its just, yeah. When I did one in lg15, step one was making the kill predictable enough to be able to feasibly convince a village protection role to protect me. So what you said there is giving me serious flashbacks. I agree that the potential targets for this cycle was kinda predictable, half expected it to be myself if i'm honest So, what i'd like to see, is linguistics people taking action if at all possible this turn. this is the time to make use of things like linguistic analysis. Now is your time to shine! Also i'm in no means trying to condemn bard. just, voicing caution before anyone decides to hard trust him because of this. Yes its highly likely Bard is good, but this is by no means a hard confirmation. Just something to keep in mind. As you were
  21. Since im still awake when i shouldnt be and can confirm haels solidly asleep, and cycle ends ~8am for us, imma just ask for him, besides i curious- why voting hael specifically? If you had a reason previously my tired brain may have missed it
  22. I haven't voted because i feel bad just throwing tuition reduction votes in for the sake of it when people have votes with reasons. Im not convinced of anyone to want to vote seriously on them. And voting for spread defeats the purpose of moving towards real votes. So im abstaining. If i keep not voting please pester me about it though i have a bad habbit of avoiding voting for as long as possible because im bad at committing to suspicions
