  1. >.> This is my third SE game, and (exlcuding the camping trip) I've been more active during my time in this game then either of my previous ones. I really do try to voice my opinions and everything, but it always ends up shorter and lamer sounding then it was in my head.
  2. By WoB, ridiculously over-sized fantasy blades were some of the waaaaaaay back inspiration for the stormlight archive, so you're really not that far off.
  3. Just a little note here bort: We (the eliminators of MR6) were planning to convert Gamma over to our side (via marriage contract) anyway, so the game would've ended no different if Gamma hadn't done what he did of his own volition. Additional comment: Bort, while I do largely disagree with Gamma-style betrayal, that's hardly what you've done. For a villager to vote in such away as to cripple one of the villager's most important roles, while in full knowledge of his role, is not acceptable. RP should be responded to with RP, and votes are something else entirely. in light of this, I'm going to vote for bort, (assuming meta doesn't tell us he's innocent.) edit: Also, I find it hilarious that the shaod took Alvron after what I said about his rep . . . almost too hilarious. Poison maybe? edit2: clarity
  4. MeMy Brother My Dad My Cousin 4 FriendsOne of the friend's little brothers So that's a total of 8, and I've it's only been 3 yrs. since I read it the first time. after letting 4 people borrow my copy of WoR, I literally had to tape the hardcover back on
  5. I highly doubt this, mostly because of what Dalinar realizes at the end of WoR:
  6. I'm gonna have to vote for clanky. you've been entirely inactive (in-thread, anyway) for the last little while, only coming out of your shell when mentioned or accused by somebody else. Earlier, when you were posting more often, the majority of your posts were either vague suspicions with little reasoning, or RP. That smells to me of somebody spending enough time in the thread to try to stay off the radar, but not enough to actually say anything. (Kinda like what I did in MR6)
  7. It's all good, I really shouldn't be so thin skinned. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adolin has black hair. I will not be persuaded otherwise. Chips are smaller than marks which are smaller than broams. Shallan is ~5'2". Kaladin has brown hair. No Alethi wears a beard. Ever. The Alethi are Europeans with a bit of tan, and Sigzil is half Polynesian and half Caucasian.
  8. the part in WoR when wit is driving the carriage. "You!" "Me!"
  9. I'm from Utah, and to be honest, I kinda take offense at this. Provo is 2,193.8 miles from New York city, and we hardly have the same kind of US accent. edit: punctuation
  10. Hey all. Here are my thoughts so far: (and yes, I've been following the game the whole time) My primary suspicion so far has landed on bort, but since he's on his way to confirmation, I'll leave that alone for now. I'd like to hear something from Alvron and Clanky who, in the games I've played at least, are usually a fair amount more active then they've been so far. (granted, this is my first LG, so maybe were not far enough in yet.) Surgebound Rainspren hasn't been replaced by a pinch-hitter, which means he's been at least somewhat active. That smells to me of MR6, where we (the eliminators) intentionally had him hide behind a smokescreen of inactivity. for those suspecting winter: why would being an eliminator cause a change in Winter's playstyle that fundamentally helps the villagers? (yes, I know she could be throwing suspicion on innocent players, but talking about it more openly and giving more reasoning makes it easier to find gaps and inconsistencies.) So, I'll be voting for Meta. I just don't see the reasoning behind your suspicion of Winter.
  11. I think this, in some form, is what broke the Radiants, and why pattern and the stormfather think forming a nahel bond is a death sentence. Spren, being primarily of the cognitive realm, view things in terms of absolutes, whereas humans think in terms of application. This disparity leads to situations like what we saw with kaladin in WoR.
  12. Responses in green. Edit: punctuation, and forgot to actually put the link for the coppermind page. *facepalm*
  13. See, I think that depends. If killing them is right, then not doing so because of the "end" (i.e. them having information that would help save people) would be justifying means using an end. the question then, is whether or not killing somebody can ever be "right".
  14. I'm not saying I agree with moogle here (I don't), but this is kinda against the whole "ends don't justify means" thing.
  15. ooh, better yet: Even stupidspren got nothin' on Yo Mama. Edit: spelling
  16. Yo mama's so dumb, she can attract stupid spren.
  17. It's still kinda hanging on-end though There feelings for each other haven't been resolved yet
  18. again, we seem to be underestimating the significance of the first oath, though granted the knights radiant could've been a mixing pot before "organization was thrust upon them."
