I think it would be cool in a forest to provide obstacles, and not just have flat land. Something like a jungle could work as well though. Sorry, I accidentally posted this message twice.

Batman vs Superman Trailer
KamorianKandra replied to Kobold King's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Personally, I thought it was awesome. I find it a realistic reaction for many people to fear him for his power, and many people to worship him because of his power. I'm most interested to see how he deals with the worship. I also think that before he can be a beacon of hope for the people of Metropolis, he has to earn the people's trust, and I don't think he has done this yet. I also thought Batman looked cool, and I was relieved that they dropped the DKT growly voice. So yeah, I think the trailer was awesome. -
I watched all the shows except Enterprise. I gave up on it. I didn't like Abram's movies, because they weren't actually Star Trek. TNG and DS9 were easily my favourites. I found TNG made amazing, cerebral episodes, and DS9 had awesome plots.

Comprehensive Analysis of Death Rattles
KamorianKandra replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Stormlight Archive
For 7, although my initial thought was of a child as well, I think it could be an adult. I think really anyone with a living mother could have said this. -
I have always pronounced Jasnah with a Y. I also pronounce Sadeas like Sa-day-us, and Renarin like Ren-uh-rin.

Hey guys, I have recently started writing (fantasy novels) in my spare-time. I have found that I have alot of trouble naming characters and events. Do you guys have a specific way of doing this, or is it just something you naturally do? That would be amazing if you could help in any way. Thanks alot

You don't have to read Discworld in order, correct?
-
Unfortunately, I have never read Sir Terry Pratchett's books. In fact, I am embarrassed to admit that I haven't actually heard of him, until yesterday. After reading a bit about his books, I have decided to read some of his Discworld books. I probably won't read all of them, as there are so many, but I plan on reading some. I wondered if you guys could give me any suggestions on where to start. Also, what is the usual length for his books?

Hi everyone, I am very excited to be here. I was first introduced to Brandon's books a few months ago, and since then have read Elantris, Mistborn, Warbreaker, Alloy of Law, Way of Kings and the first half of Words of Radiance. My favourite so far has been The Hero of Ages, but they have all been amazing. I'm reading Words of Radiance right now, and after hearing people repeatedly ask whether Words of Radiance is a brick or a book, I took the liberty of making this. Words of Radiance.pdf I am also a massive fan of Harry Potter, Tolkien, Brandon Mull's books, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who and Dungeon & Dragons. Thanks for reading!

What I didn't like was Ron, Fred and George. Ron was supposed to be very tall and lanky, and the actor really wasn't. Fred and George were supposed to be short and stout, but the actors weren't. However, I do agree that some of the actors, such as the first Dumbledore, were very well cast.

I have always assumed that most of the magic systems were created after Adonalsium shattered. For instance, Allomancy was started from Lerasium, which is from Preservation. This seems to me as though the magic was developed after the Shattering. This is not to say this is the same for each magic system, however. This is just my idea though. It is very likely that it is incorrect.

The main thing I hate is how people always picture the actors as the characters once they read a book after watching the movies. Every time I read Harry Potter, I picture the characters, which annoys me, since many of the characters look completely different than the actors.

Brandons Upcoming Book Releases
KamorianKandra replied to AussieMistborn's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Other than the next two Mistborn books, I know that the next Stormlight Archive book is coming out in spring of 2016. Other than that I don't know. (I only read the books set in the Cosmere). -
The Cosmerillion/The World of the Cosmere

Once the Cosmere is finished, I think it would be cool if they had a section where they talked about all the Cosmere 'easter eggs' hidden in the books.- 18 replies

I guess my theory's probably not correct. Oh well, it was decent for a first theory. By the way, feel free to write your theories on why Vasher is on Roshar.

Your All-Time Favorite Superhero/Supervillian
KamorianKandra replied to Fatebreaker's topic in General Discussion
Martian Manhunter and Nightwing are my favourite superheroes. Riddler is definitely my favourite supervillian, though. -
I have a theory that Vasher is allies or friends with Hoid. I believe this for a few reasons. The first is that he is a Worldhopper, and I think Hoid taught him how to do this. Also, he has been on Roshar for around 10 years. We don't know exactly how long Hoid has been on Roshar, but it is very likely that he has been there around the same time. Obviously he can't just go to Roshar and become Wit. So I think they arrived around the same time. Finally, Vasher has been on the Shattered Plains, and so we can presume that he has seen Hoid there. If he was part of the 17th Shard, Galladon, Demoux and Blunt wouldn't have had to search for him. Therefore, I think he is Hoid's friend (possibly watching out for the 17th Shard).
