So the Secret keeper likely is the reason for the removal of the conversion rule or perhaps an elementalist I guess. I don't really know what to analyze in this game beyond rule proposals. Rule 1 is okay. It won't really affect much unless there are no rules people like then we can limit the entry of new rules into the game. Rule 2 is obviously something from the worldsmiths. I see no reason for anyone else to vote for it. Maybe we need to coordinate to get three other rules with enough vote to ensure this doesn't get in? Rule 3, I'm not really sure what this is supposed to acheive. Each individual player has the primary win condition to be the last alive so there is not much that will affect that. The factions all have group win conditions. I guess since we hadn't made a rule about the game ending at all it might not have ended even with one person left. idunno Rule 4 seems mostly like adding to a normal factionless win condition wherer they have to be the only one left alive. This just stops factions from winning without killing them. Not really a bonus for whomever becomes odium. Rule 5 Bunnies are kinda fun. Do we have any mechanic to pass/move items other than spheres (or maybe the elementalist) that would ever lead to someone getting multiple bunnies? I'm not sure what I'm going to vote on yet. None of the rules seem to offer any major change to the game play like other rules in the previous cycles.

Didn't the rules say that the Ketek had to be in roleplay? So you can't just post a ketek for an extra action but it actually has to be part of an RP?

Sorry for not being too active here so far (Was traveling the past two days and met some friends I hadn't seen for a while) but now I'm back. I think I will personally vote for rule #6. Who doesn't want to see people making some keteks? Also I don't really understand the Dragon Faction. When someone is challenged they would have to figure out the role and alignment of the player who challenged them? So basically Alignment = Dragon and Role = Member? given that "Members have a single active ability." that seems to mean that they lose other active abilities ie, roles and become only a dragon?

So what happens if we don't refer to Searanatha theranson threson the 45th and a half exactly as Searanatha theranson threson the 45th and a half? Does anything that targets Searanatha theranson threson the 45th and a half fail if not used correctly?

Ok well given that there is now a serial killer role (Arinians Blood Mage) my rule cannot coexist with it. Since we have roles we should probably have some sort of rule about using actions. Then my new rule will be: Every cycle each player can make as many actions as game related (RP, or analysis) posts divided by 2 that they posted the previous cycle. Having placed a vote that remained till the end of the cycle also gives an extra action. One action must be left unused for resting every second cycle or the player dies of exhaustion (if a player PMs the GM about a legitimate reason for inactivity this can be waived at the GMs discretion). In the first cycle each player gets two possible actions since we have there is no previous cycle on which to base post count.

I was worried about that. It honestly started as a simple role then I got carried away. So new Rule then: Every player has a win condition (separate from faction win conditions or any other win condition that appears) in which they are given one player who they must outlive and one player who has to outlive them or both survive to the end of the game.

Ok I will sign up as Bugg, an old bald man with an affinity for large bodies of water. Rule: I figured I'd add to the whole familial nature that appears to be popping up in the roles section. Roles/Win condition: Sibling Rivalry Youngest Sibling: You spent your whole childhood being abused and mocked by your older sibling. Now that you have matured into a god with the power of creation in your hands it's time for revenge. Unfortunately your disreputable older sibling caught wind of your plans and went into hiding. Nonetheless you can smell their specific brand of evil anywhere and will surely find them and enact your revenge. Especially with your disguise that will surely allow you to get close enough to stab your elder sibling directly in the back. You do not know the identity of your Eldest Sibling. Powers: You know that your conniving sibling will be out to get you as well so you have people watching your back at every turn: Passive power: Receive a list of every player that performed an action on you last cycle at the beginning of every cycle Your desire for revenge gives you strength: Active Power: You can attack one player every turn (night if we end up going with 48/24 day night cycles). If you hit one of your siblings this counts as two attacks instead. As the youngest sibling you learned how to get what you want from your parent or any other adult really: Active Power: Every turn (or night) you may search another player for mentions of your name in any PM they sent or received. You will receive a list of all the sentences that contain your name/characters name that your target sent or received that cycle. Win Condition: You must outlive your Eldest Sibling. If they die and you are not involved in their death you will be very sad causing you to be unable to use any actions for the next two full cycles. Eldest Sibling: Sure you may have been a bit mean to your littlest sibling but it's all fun and game right? Every eldest sibling does it. You never really thought it would end up with a murder attempt. So it's up to you to patch this up. Unfortunately it's tough to talk to someone who tries to murder you on sight. So at least until this whole crazy ordeal with all this creation and murdering happening it's best to just lay low and try and keep your little sibling alive. Your parents would never forgive if they died on your watch and you can't believe they thought that ridiculous costume would be able to hide their identity from you. You do know the identity of your Youngest Sibling. Powers: You'll do whatever it takes to protect your sibling. Active Power: You may protect one player per cycle(night) from an attack. If it is one of your siblings it can protect from two attacks. If you block an attack on your sibling this way you learn the identity of the attacker. Some people call you bossy but I guess that comes with the territory as an eldest child. Active Power: You can order the GM to pass an anonymous message to your youngest sibling once per turn. Self preservation. Passive Power: If you are not using your active power to protect another player this turn you are protected from one attack. Win condition: Keep your Youngest Sibling alive till the end of the game. You must also survive in order to explain to them how all that they viewed as you torturing them was just fun and games. Middle Sibling: You were always the forgotten one as a middle child. Neither your parent or any of your siblings ever seemed to notice anything that you did. Now that's worked in your favour since your siblings never could have guessed that you would end up the most powerful of them all. You heard rumours that your other siblings were having a war but you couldn't care less. Best that you don't get involved or they will start to notice you in a negative way. You do not know the identity of any of your siblings and neither of them know your identity. Powers: Each turn you can chose one player to attack twice and defend one player (other than yourself)from two attacks. However if you kill your Youngest Sibling your Eldest Sibling will find out. They will learn your identity and having to outlive you will be added to their Win Condition. Also their protective role will change and become an attack role equivalent to the attack of the Youngest Sibling. Similarly if you protect your Eldest Sibling from an attack your Youngest Sibling will learn your identity and gain the Win Condition of outliving you. So be carefull! The ignored child: Active Power: You can choose one player to follow every cycle(night) and learn who they performed actions upon. Win Condition: Don't get in the way! If you are killed by either of your siblings you lose no matter if your other faction win conditions are met. Your secondary win condition is to kill at least one player with your powers and defend at least one player from an attack. Clarification: These are not necessarily unique roles. There can be multiple different sets of siblings with no relation to each other. These roles can be in combination with any other role and are also compatible with any other faction. If your win condition for your faction is met but not your win condition from this role I suppose you could say you still won. But will you really be happy calling that a win? Anyone have any thoughts/criticisms of these roles?

Well I finally caught up on the webcomic. Don't know how so many people managed to get it done prior to the game even started. It ain't short. Drought, I'll support you for medium but it would be good to know who you would be planning to choose as a protector. Also to everyone who hasn't voted please vote and if someone has voted for you please respond. We have less than 12 hours left in this day and so far noone has more than one vote on them or has responded to being voted on. If we want any sort of usefull lynch we need to start discussing it asap

So I'm going to put a vote on Orlok. Does nobody else find it odd how he is suspicious of me for pursuing Lopen when he was highly involved in a Lopen lynch on a day I didn't even post once? There was actually a surprising amount of discussion surrounding me that day and I never did get a vote. There was however in the post orlok initially voted for lopen Orlok saying that if Lopen turns out to be good than I am likely evil. I would like to know why Lopens alignment would affect your opinion of my alignment. If you look back at almost any game the vast majority of games, especially near the beginning most votes and suspicions cast are of the villager on villager variety and if you recall the push I made on Lopen was only on Day 2. Also in your post I linked above you said that you were "wary of Burnt", however now you are putting burnt forth as a secondary option to you as a medium. May I ask what has changed with respect to Burnt? Also Elb wasn't on your list of suspicious people last day. So did something change to put her above the other players you mentioned last day as well as in this post? So if it wasn't obvious before I don't support Orloks case for medium. I don't think it's fair to put myself forwards as a secondary option since I was gone for half the game so far and really have no idea what is going on in the forest thread. So I'll be happy to put my vote on someone else who makes a good case. PS. Take your time recovering from your long day Orlok, I understand what you are going through and don't expect any sort of timely response until you've recovered. Canada isn't that isolated we do have internet here.

Thanks Drake, So first I will respond to this post from Brightness about my previous actions. Honestly most of it was just posting initial thoughts without much reasoning just to try and stay active in the game. I still stand by my reasons for voting initially for lopen even if I didn't explain it very well. My problem with Lopen was how he wasn't picking a side on anything he posted about. It doesn't appear as if I put that into words very well though from what I see in that post. (I'll be using the same numbering system as brightness did to respond to specifics) 4) Basically I wanted to treat the game as if the two threads that were combined were just one game and that we could help our people in the forest too. With that in mind voting for a forester makes most sense based on logistics, besides as long as people still vote with a reason or if someone really didn't want to vote for a forester/voted for an eliminatorish forester that would still give info. 5,6) (and all the other lopen stuff) So basically I felt that he hadn't taken a side on anything to do with lynches, He was Anti CC lynch (But said he supported the vote on shqueeves which was activity related), he didn't support lynching a forester (which everyone seemed not to), and he didn't put out another candidate and ended the first day saying he'd prefer no lynch. Earlier he had talked about wanting to get a vote out early that day but hadn't voted despite posting several times prior to my vote on him. The flash thing just made his non-vote actions even weirder but was not the full basis of my vote. That was my lopen reasoning, lots of his actions make more sense given he didn't know his alignment. 7) I will always speak up for the contribution crusade. It doesn't need to only mean lynching inactives all the time, but now isn't really the time to get into this as it isn't really relevent to this game. I do still have to do a couple hours of work today so I'll come back with a post of my thoughts on some other people in a couple hours.

So I think this was the final tally? Lopen(3): Drake, Orlok, Flash Drake(2): Lopen, Brightness Flash(1): Randuir If I'm wrong someone please correct me. I'll be doing a probably rather large analysis post in the not too distant future.

Sorry for dissapearing. I was at work for 40 hours straight then as soon as I came home I passed out for 12 hours. But that should mean the last of my super busy time so I should be active for the rest of the game. I'll do a real post once I've caught up on stuff Also does anyone have the lynch vote tally from last cycle? It would be useful to see that.

Sure I'm not saying I've got the best reasoning for my vote on you. You are just the most suspicious from what I've been able to see of the first few turns. I'm approaching being at work for 14 hours now today so haven't had time to do much in the way of getting a read on everyone. So my best bet was to focus on something and you were what I had at the time. So sure I may have made a bigger deal out of my suspicions than what I really had and I definitely was way too focused on you mostly cause I didn't have time to find any better suspicions. SO best to focus on one thing (which ended up being you) and stick too it. But I didn't want to let you know I wasn't too serious cause then you could just ignore me. Sorry for the rambling and the poor participation, super tired but hopefully not long till I'm not working like crazy and can go back to devoting too much time to SE.

Most of your posts this turn have mentioned something about the last cycles lynch. Firstly last cycle you talked about wanting to get the lynch discussion early this cycle. But then you didn't post your first vote until there was less than 10 hours left in the cycle on the player who was already leading in the lynch. Then there was saying you didn't want to kill shqueevs, just get his attention, but was against contribution crusade lynches D1. So you were fine with the vote on Shqueeves in order to get him to be active but not kill him in a contribution crusade. Basically it seems like you are playing both sides/changing your opinion about that potential lynch. Or wanted to seem in support of killing someone who happened to be a fellow eliminator while not actually killing them? That's basically what I've got. It seems like an odd stance taken on the lynch overall and Shqueeves in which you don't really choose a side. What I meant was that you can vote on an inactive/lurker to get there attention without pushing hard for a lynch. A single vote on someone doesn't equate to a lynch but it can get someone to pay attention. Plus there isn't any PMs in the day this game which are 48Hrs long, which is a long time to have someone inactive for.
-
Firstly, Does anyone have a Vote count? I don't have time to go through the thread and collect it all. I'll probably be taking a break for dinner in the next couple of hours where I can give some time to this and wouldn't mind knowing where the votes are at. Thanks! Secondly I have noticed a lot of people talking about not liking the contribution crusade idea (Lopen, DA, Orlok, and more I think) or just eliminating inactives/semi-inactives from vote candidates (Drake). While I can understand not wanting to waste a lynch on someone inactive I also think that just ignoring people who aren't posting is a good way to encourage it. I know from experience that if I'm not entirely active I will at least post in response to a vote against me.

Yep, i'm fine leaving my vote where it is. THe flash statement was only secondary to all the weird anti-lynch stuff Lopen has been saying in almost every post. I don't see why a villager would want to suppress lynches except perhaps the first cycle.
-
Well I am very smart and didn't miss anything super obvious at all...
-
I think I'm more in line with attempting to lynch a villager from the Forest than attempt to find a forester among us at least at this point of the game. There is a reason this game isn't two separate games so I'm not sure we should just treat this like two games that just happen to be in the same thread. Now with that said, I will admit that I haven't had time to read anything form the forest thread since the first couple hours of day 1. So I have no idea who is even all from the forest let alone who might be a good lynch target from there. My biggest suspect so far from the court Lopen at the moment. He is been pretty vocally anti-lynch all game so far even though he is 40% flash is evil. That seems like enough confidence for at least a vote
