  1. Nah, Jim Broadbent was.
  2. He's far from London, but it's never clear how far. Edit: No one seems to be running the resort.
  3. He was a little groggy at first and doesn't remember his travel plans, but not Hangover.
  4. Your brain hasn't 100% caught up to your low-pressure situation yet. As the panic stops finding reinforcement in other worries, it loses its formerly easy accessibility even more. You're on a very good track.
  5. A workaholic takes a vacation to try not to get any number. Edit: They throw big parties with balloons.
  6. Most Americans will be voting against Trump, yes.
  7. The Force Awakens.
  8. She doesn't look like a typical actress (even getting genuine frumpy hair/glasses/clothes), so some of the fans get a "Wow, a real person!" effect. Also, her orientation is never addressed, so LGBT fans of the show have embraced her as whatever they've decided she is ('cause she doesn't really do much of anything.)
  9. Undo and repeat the previous action. 1. Hearts - 5 2. Shooting Stars - 6 3. Horseshoes - 6 4. Clovers - 5 5. Blue Moons - 4 6. Rainbows - 5 7. Balloons - 4 8. Hourglasses - 5 9. The Whale one from '86 - 5 10. The Pine Tree from '90 - 5 11. The Diamonds from '15 - 5
  10. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
  11. Hey Sharders. Time for a copy-pasted round of grain-adjacent Hurt and Heal, this time with colorful bits of sugar! The rules (for the newbies) are: On your turn say what you're hurting and what you're healing. Each charm will start with five points. Add one point to the name you're healing, and detract one point from the name you're hurting. Bold both names. You have to wait at least two seconds to post again. You must also wait ten minutes before ten minutes have passed. Threads like these... full of leprechauns. You can try to get people to vote for the same thing again using upvotes, but I don't care and will not really be moderating. Bribing is a gerund but punishing also is. Extra rule for later: When there are only two contestants left, lolwut. Let the games begin! I'll start. Heal Horseshoes and hurt Blue Moons. 1. Hearts - 5 2. Shooting Stars - 5 3. Horseshoes - 6 4. Clovers - 5 5. Blue Moons - 4 6. Rainbows - 5 7. Balloons - 5 8. Hourglasses - 5 9. The Whale one from '86 - 5 10. The Pine Tree from '90 - 5 11. The Diamonds from '15 - 5
  12. If the jeans don't clash too much with the jacket in color or formality level, yeah. Should be great.
  13. Oh wow, this answers all the tornado questions and then some.
  14. Some jokes from the comedy contest at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival: I'll tell you what's unnatural in the eyes of God. I often confuse Americans and Canadians My dad has suggested I register for a donor card. And my personal favorite...
  15. I've started to see a memetic backlash to this that points out, quite rightly, that other animal incidents like Cecil the Lion popped up and faded away after a while. The reason for the continued use of Harambe is pretty blatantly an excuse for Internet racists to crack their favorite kind of jokes with plausible deniability. "It's just a [funny/cool/unusual] name," they say, as they continually link Harambe imagery to, for instance, Leslie Jones. The black people + monkey imagery is blatant in most cases. When it's not, it's usually a red flag of the "alt-right."
  16. *snaps fingers* That has to be it.
  17. She's so much better than that part, I swear. (Check out The Ten.)
  18. Something people in European countries usually don't fully wrap their head around is in America, travel takes you a long way away and, unless you've saved up significantly, moving somewhere else is really expensive. Also, traveling to another country is an exotic Big Deal and you're likely to be super jet-lagged both ways. I so envy the European different-cultures-in-close-proximity situation. It'd be so much more stimulating! Here in Kansas City, the nearest cities with a distinctly different culture are a full day's drive away.
  19. You already chose the guy who lost, so why bother?
  20. The Time Turner was a mistake thrown in for essentially a cheap joke.
  21. Same reason the radio has a DJ yammering about something pointless - the music is doled out sparingly. The point is to get you to see/hear ads. (Yes, Pet Peeve.)
  22. <- is coffee <- is alcohol -> alcohol can mess with your sense of direction ;<--- dragon is sad about breathing fire >< X-wing
  23. Cadmium gonna warn people about your humor until Iridium for ya.
