Someone should really ask Brandon this because this is a really good idea. -

TLR also kind of went against #104 "My undercover agents will not have tattoos identifying them as members of my organization, nor will they be required to wear military boots or adhere to any other dress codes." Also #109 is a really good idea "I will see to it that plucky young lads/lasses in strange clothes and with the accent of an outlander shall REGULARLY climb some monument in the main square of my capital and denounce me, claim to know the secret of my power, rally the masses to rebellion, etc. That way, the citizens will be jaded in case the real thing ever comes along."

Isn't it said somewhere in the Mistborn trilogy that Vin's eyes are grey, and somewhere in Elantris that Raoden's are blue?

It is implied that she cannot push or pull it because she calls it useless. Though, I do admit, you may be right and it may just be that she means useless to her at that moment in time, as she has no iron or steel to push or pull it with to free herself.
-
It is implied that it can't be burned either as she can't escape while being chained with it.

in HOA when Vin is being held hostage by Yomen. "Sliver. Useless, unburnable silver. Like lead, it was one of the metals that provided no Allomantic powers at all." Hero of Ages pg. 486.
-
I just thought of something. Can Mistings/Mistborn only push/pull on metals that are allomantically sound? I know in one case an allomantic metal can't be pushed or pulled (Aluminum) and it is also mentioned that Silver can't be pushed/pulled either. I wouldn't think that you would only be able to use only allomantic metals for steelpushing/ironpulling but as this is not directly addressed in the books I have no way of knowing. The coins that are often used to push off of the ground are copper which is an allomantically sound metal, so it doesn't help me. I'm just really wondering if this is a thing. If so, then it would seriously hinder coinshots/lurchers.
-
Wow I never thought of that before. This is an amazing idea and I think that it is very likely to be true.

On Vasher's page on the Coppermind it says that he is Zahel. Is this a fact or speculation? If it is fact can someone please tell me how we know its fact.

Cosmere Battle Royale; AKA Who Would Win
gjustice99 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Vin could kill Szeth easily. Atium could allow her to see what he does in advance and he would have absolutely no way to counter it. -
Thats a really hard one because I love them all..But probably Mistborn because I read it first and it is what led me into the cosmere.

This is something I've been wondering for a while now. How do the names of the Returned get chosen. I don't mean their titles I mean the actual name. Lightsong, Blushweaver, Truthcall. The only one that makes even the tiniest bit of sense is Warbreaker, because if you really think about it, to "break" a war would mean to stop it, thus, bring peace. Lightsong makes the least amount of sense. Who would see the name Lightsong and think of bravery? Apparently whoever is allowed to name the Returned. I think there might be a hint of truth in Lightsong's drunk monkey theory guys.

I think that this is an awesome theory. The most plausible theory for why limbs cut with shardblades are useless is that their connection in the spiritual realm have been severed. It may be possible to mend it using Breath but I think it would be extremely difficult. Also, it would be very annoying to have to give, say, your leg a command every time you wanted to take a step.
-
What command would you give nightblood
gjustice99 replied to High prince of geeks's topic in Warbreaker
Mine would be protect the innocent because there is less room for error in it than there was in destroy evil. Although, it may encounter the same problems. How would Nightblood determine someone's innocence? How would he go about obeying his order? Would he kill all those that weren't innocent (unlikely but a possibility)? However there is also room for error in any command that Nightblood could be given, I think the safest for the goal that has been set is protect the innocent. -
A New Use (And a Big One at That!) for Aluminum
gjustice99 replied to anonymous2017's topic in Mistborn
If burning aluminum dissolves metal in the body then why wasn't Vin's earring dissolved when Yomen gave her aluminum? -
I think if you are trying to find the word for cosmere magic the word is investure. But I think your theory is completely legit.
-
My favorite character is Galladon as his pessimism makes him awesome.

Hey guys, just another Sanderson fan joining the site. I figured I should make something for this category at some point (I felt I had an obligation to do so). I have read and loved all of the cosmere novels and they are the best books I have read to date.

Because somehow a returned had a kid and that kid became the second ruler of Idris (after its mother).

Physical Colour is not the Fuel for Awakening *Mild WoR Spoilers*
gjustice99 replied to Aonar's topic in Warbreaker
I agree completely with this theory. When a Shardblade cuts through a limb then it severs that limb's connection to the body in the spiritual realm which is very similar to what happens when an Awakener drains the color from an object.- 56 replies

The shardholder for this one should definitely be Voldemort. I thought of some to add to the list: Shard of Forgetfulness Shard of Spiders Shard of Illiteracy Shard of Tantrums Shard of Insanity Shard of Incest Shard of Mispronunciation Shard of Stick If a lot of people hated the shard of Auto-Correct wouldn't their hatred for it make Odium stronger, as he is the shard of hatred?

Where's WalDo: The Kandra Worldhopper
gjustice99 replied to Kobold King's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Two cons could turn pro if you think about the fact that if Iaytil is a non-Harmony kandra who still reveres Vin and imitates her mannerisms as well as joining her profession (assassin) -
Actually Mr. Sanderson said that Rashek used the power in the Well of Ascension to grant himself allomancy, not lerasium. Also, he calls the studies "Ars Arcanum" because it is Latin for "the Art of Mystery" which makes perfect sense as they describe how Investure works.
