You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
RawToast225 replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
You know you're a Sanderfan when your boss only likes you because you have read Sandersons books and can keep up with him in discussions about them. -
Like scientists and scholars that are trying to create shardplate on Roshar, but instead, they try to create original shards? Edit: Tried to create shards? Then when they realized the fruitlessness of their endeavour, they gave up?

I posted it here.

No, he is the leader of the Holy Army. It's like my a high priest trusted with the most power. Again, that's just assuming it's all true.
-
Yeah, I know. It's still an odd thing to have on common, don't you think?

Bavlands - Bavadin. Bavadin is Cultivation. Boom.

In this case, they will need to make Odium appoint a champion for them to defeat. Until that happens, there will be war. The only way for them to survive a war is to get a good defense. Essentially it's a stall tactic until they can talk to Odium, convince him he can lose, and kill his champion. (This comes from Dalinar's last vision in WoK.)
-
Or we can count our beloved heros as having a chance. They will be fighting millions of Voidbringers, Thunderclasts, shadow thingies from the visions of Dalinar, and who knows how many other unspeakable evils created by Odium. They honestly will need as many advantages as possible. If they don't get them, they will lose. Dalinar (who can't fight), Kaladin (who can't be everywhere), Lift (who is a healer), and Shallan (who is a wimp) can't defend against everything alone.

But there is strength in numbers. Maybe Lopen is just as powerful as a normal squire with many many more to come. Say.... 1000 more?
-
Do you know what that sentence says to me? It says, "At least I stopped trying to fight the temptations of Hemolergy, unlike you, Dent, who keeps fighting." I really feel nothing but contempt for you in that regard. When you first came, you were such a powerful adversary to the DA. Now you are their pawn. Come back. Away from the dark side. Away from the DA and their monstrosities. I cannot force you, only plead with you.
-
Dude. You have a problem.

Yes, that's almost perfect. It's like someone who is in a wheelchair but does amazing things despite their handicap instead of dwelling on it. I know that comparison makes it seem like I view being gay as a handicap. Yep. Anyhow, you got it. I really like all of the other companions. Jackie is so freaking funny! I wish Amy and Rory had ended better, but I liked who the Doctor was around them. My favourite is Clara because she is the prettiest. I know it's shallow. I don't care.

I shall join with thee in purpose but not literally. I will not join with a sect dedicated to something somewhat ridiculous. Rest assured, I will take up the fight on my own.

*thread subtly changes to a "Tia is dumb" thread* I don't actually understand the Prof kidnapping thing. Can you elaborate a bit on that?
-
I'm for gay rights, but I really hate when people are defined my their right to be gay. When they are people who are gay as opposed to gay people, like Captain Jack, it's fine. In the case of the damnation alien and her stupid maid, those two are defined by their relationship. That's just never healthy. Also, it's stupid. Captain Jack? Awesome. Lizard and human? Dumb.

Sorry, how do we know that Jezrien is a drunk and Kalak is super paranoid? Where is that in the books?
-
Voidus, that doesn't mean I will not try.

I really wish that they had gone away after their respective first episodes. Unfortunately, they are still around despite their ridiculous scripts and even worse acting. Add in the unnecessary lesbian relationship agenda and you've got the whole terrible shebang. I don't know if you can tell, but I'm really sick of them. I don't even care if I get super down voted for this. It really felt good to finally say it all to someone.

Again, the biggest and winning argument for it not being Awakening is that Brandon said it wasn't.

Up vote for an excellent point! I didn't consider the group of super secret genius Epic experts. Suppose they are simply people who have been compelling data. They would be responsible for deaths that could have been prevented by information they had if they knew about them. Suppose they are pulling some invisible strings. They would be responsible more directly for the deaths of thousands, millions of people. I don't like them. At all. Not only are they super frustrating because of their secrecy, they are suspicious because of it.

They come up with the names because of their planets individual history. Just as on Roshar

Type faster We are using the same device, man. No excuses.

It's been confirmed that it was to Dragon (Spelling?) from Yolen.

My name is Talenel'Elin. I spent five milenia on in a hellish underworld where I became someone else. Where I became... someone else. Anyway, we really don't know what the Oathpact meant.

Did you just say that spikes were tasty? I suppose that must be true otherwise people wouldn't keep eating them. I suppose that they have a quick joy with a lasting enslavement to Ruin. Kind of like the philosophical effects of drugs. You are a traitor.
