    That sounds kind of like what happens every time I try to give blood. I have super-tiny veins, to the point where the needle they use is generally bigger than the vein they're trying to stick it into. This leads to badness and unpleasant vibes. In your case, you might have just been a bit dehydrated. I gave up the whole thing years ago. But I'm A+, which is super-common and not in high demand, so I don't feel too bad about it.

    Technically, I wrote a total of over 90,000 of revision, but some of that was a retread of last year so only about 51,000 was countable for Nano. Oh, and I started late, so I typed those 90,000 in two weeks.

    I'm on cold meds, but I'm not sure how much they're helping. I don't want to take Sudafed because it makes my heart race, so I'm taking the subpar stuff. It's an inevitability, I'm afraid. I've come to terms with the fact that my body's reaction to having my (very malfunctioning) gallbladder removed has made me dependent on Omeprazole to keep my stomach from digesting itself for the rest of my life.

    I have a cold. It's not a bad cold, but it's still annoying. And I had a cold over Labor Day weekend, too, so this is the second extended holiday weekend in a row that I've been sick. *grump*

    Though I'm not very good at the Greet the Newbies piece. The most I seem to do is pop into random introduction threads and warn people not to eat the cookies.

    I swear I remember reading a WoB where he specifically said that the lerasium alloy completely overwrote the Misting's original metal.

    I could see Wax managing to convince Jon Deadfinger to remand him into his custody. Wax was apprenticing under that lawkeeper at the time; presumably there would have been some precedent for Deadfinger to trust Wax's instincts. Plus, if emotional Allomancy had been a known quantity, that would have tempered Wayne's development considerably. He never says anything about being manipulated into it, and manifests symptoms of full-blown PTSD. Now, that's not to say that the theory is completely without merit, that one of Wayne's idiot friends was a Rioter and messed with him during the job, but if it happened, Wax and Wayne don't know it. Wayne wouldn't be carrying nearly that amount of guilt around with him if he did.

    Wow. I...I wish there was a way to favorite or bookmark posts on this forum, because this is one of the best things that I have ever read. (Seriously, I wish my job were this glamorous. Alas, the reason I'm so cagey has more to do with being able to vent about things without busting confidentiality. OR DOES IT?)
