  1. I do. I drive a TARDIS-blue Honda Fit. And my license plate says "VWORP"
  2. New story idea kicking around in my head that you might find nightmare-worthy.
  3. Oh, look, the parking lot is a giant ice slick. Someone's already slipped and fallen trying to get out to their car, and I'm gonna have to scrape my poor CARDIS out. I am not looking forward to driving home. *grump*
  4. I don't think that necessarily precludes things. I could easily see Autonomy believing that Harmony is a big hypocrite, as much as he keeps dabbling in interference. Autonomy would say, "Sink or swim by your own merits." Harmony is still meddling.
  5. Lurking cognitive shadows aside, that would suggest that Kelsier willingly reincarnated himself into a man with no apparent sense of humor. I have trouble believing that to be possible.
  6. The way I read this at first had me wondering how on Earth you can argue about how old you are. Do people you know have a regular habit of forgetting how old they are? Do you have to make them look at their driver's license for evidence? Then I realized what you actually meant. Yes. Just because someone is X years old doesn't mean they know everything.
  7. The horse says his name is Susan and he wants you to respect his life choices. #doctorwhoiscosmere
  8. They're delicious. The trick is finding a chocolate bunny that doesn't leak. Also delicious: adding a dash of Bailey's Irish Creme to hot chocolate.
  9. He's talking about a Bunny Foo Foo. The drink recipe is on the Church of Wayne thread.
  10. I think I might have just heard evil cackling somewhere off in the distance...
  11. Peter is also well-known for gleefully trolling us with comments to throw us off the scent, mixed in with just enough genuine tidbits to keep us completely confused.
  12. I'm not sure whether this is cause for a party, or just shouting out, "Someone get this woman a drink!"
  13. And writing, like language, can evolve over time. There may be a sort of shorthand here that's simplifying the regular symbols into something easier to write in a single stroke, making it correspondingly easier for numbers to get mixed up.
  14. I think it was a couple Dresden books ago that I did a re-read of the entire series up to the release. I got through all of them in about a month-and-a-half.
  15. It probably helps me that whenever I see a limerick, it runs in my head to a tune that I learned when taking piano lessons as a kid (cross-thread synergistic talk!) If it fits the musical rhythm, it works.
  16. I used both Alfred and Bastien as a kid; they seem pretty equal to me in terms of good. Though Bastien has a separate method for the older beginner that you might want to look into. It combines all of the different bits into just one book (with some performance supplements that are optional) and cuts out a lot of the cutesy for-kids stuff in the regular beginner method. You'd probably find it less insulting to your intelligence. I play both. And the oboe, and flute, and Irish whistle, and recorder...
  17. Hmm. The poetry rhythm works just the tiniest bit better if you write the last line as, "And the man who had named them did rue."
  18. Hey, we've all got our dark sides, mate. Some of us just wear it more openly than others. Seriously, dude, I'm a redhead. Of course I turn into a one-person army when I'm angry.
  19. It does take a good bit of practice to get good, but if you pick up some beginner method books, you can get started on your own. Most piano methods are pretty equal, but you want to get the full set. So, there's Lesson, Theory, Technic, and Recital - all four have ongoing lessons that fit together as they progress. So you'll learn a basic thing in the Lesson book, have an exercise or two in Theory that teaches you the building blocks behind it, the Technic book works on drilling the skills, and the Recital book pulls them all together into a more complicated piece of music. (I've taught piano before.)
  20. I...I can't make up my mind whether I'm hurt or flattered.
  21. Skills can be learned.
  22. Morzathoth thinks I'm the scariest person on the Shard.

  23. Hey, now! I'm nice! And I don't try to spike people. So there. Though...with a username like Hydra, maybe he should be afraid of us nice ones. Or at least be afraid of SHIELD agents.
  24. ...and you people wonder why the rest of us consider KoboldSansSparkles to be a valid ship.
