  1. *Zombie Walks toward Leftinch.* I must slap my own face. I have 2 months before I'm to dress as Black Widow. I have no willpower. Must sew my mouth shut.
  2. I So want them. My weakness. Ouch. I want all the sugars. mmmmmmm
  3. I was wondering if we were counting the Wheel of Time books. I will answer as though we are not.
  4. Lack of sleep will make you crazy. Thankfully there is a cure: sleep. Hope you got some. Co-miserate: My husband has a barking cough. He's had it for about a month now. Various doctor visits and no results. The joke is it's TB. My mom is a hypochondriac so we always joke that anything is the worst possible thing ever. Headache? Oh you have a tumor. That sort of thing. But there are times when I'm so tired and he's carrying on and the whole smothering someone with a pillow looks a little good.... ha! OF course, if I'm bothered by it, he's really bothered by it. So I should be super kind and patient and sensitive and selfless... and perfect... and I'm not. As for your situation: The thing about snoring is---that person IS sleeping. They may not be getting great quality sleep, but it's sleep! It counts!!!!! So smother away! No don't. I'm joking. Sounds like you are overwhelmed. When was your last vacation? I'd rant if I could. Truth is, my life is pretty good right now. Husband with TB and me with one ear that doesn't work withstanding. I meet people all the time who are in such terrible circumstances, it keeps me in check about my upsets. I just have to watch not getting too sad about other people's stuff. I want to save the world somehow. I hate it when people suffer. Virtual non-germy hugs and lullabies to you.
  5. Mind Sufficiently Blown and it's not even mid-day. http://www.tickld.com/x/this-guy-just-changed-the-way-we-see-lord-of-the-rings-mind-blown
  6. Well since that was brought up, of course I had to go find this to let my child experience the wonder of early rave music.
  7. This is kind of cute. I had no idea these critters could be fun. I also didn't think they did much in bright light. *shrug*
  8. I didn't even notice there was a spot for a create-your-own title. But now that I know... well.... I'm blank.

  10. Another hotel room. This is becoming a habit.

  11. Behold: The Raccoon Dog. (It's a real thing!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9RbJEI_rYI&feature=youtu.be
  12. Beginning to move through some of the short fiction list.

  13. PUNS!!!!! Some are really good...while others are so bad they're still good. :-) http://www.buzzfeed.com/patricksmith/really-really-bad-puns
  14. My parents live on a farm. They seem to have a healthy crop of about 20 cats. People dump animals in the country and they find their way to my parent's place. Then they breed. It gets expensive feeding all of these unwanted animals, but my mom develops attachments to them all. (Steps have been taken with most of them so that they will no breed, but new animals show up all the time.) It can be fascinating to watch their little society. One watched over all the litters while the mothers would go off. It was like the permanent baby sitter--auntie. One day we realized Auntie was a very docile, male. I think he's the non-practicing gay uncle. I no longer have animals because our son is allergic to everything. Occasionally I miss animals, but when I get overwhelmed by having to water a plant, I know that I have plenty of responsibilities.
  15. Just a link for today. Seeing things in your Cheetos (or puffed cheese curl products). I see a lot of the descriptions but he loses me on (at least) 4 or them. I do not see Elvis. However, I will not ever take my Cheetos time for granted again. They are clearly rich with creative opportunity. <- Perhaps they could market them that way?! http://news.distractify.com/culture/arts/andy-huot-cheese-curl-art/
  16. Yes. I miss Tien. And now, I'm sad. What to do? Ah...listen to Brandon. http://youtu.be/MK1zEP0Z5Fk?list=PLSH_xM-KC3ZunUsJ21CE1_h87749YT57O
  17. We went to this small beach town and stopped by a sandwich shop. This was on their bookshelf. I almost took it as a sign I should move there. See top left shelf? (I made the photo small so you may not be able to see. The shelf is labeled Odysseys of Space and Mind. WoT!) This town needs more Sanderson!
  18. <tangent> Cheetos, coconut water & whipped cream. I want to be a pet. I can even clean up after myself so..... </tangent> I agree with the idea of exercise. I like to think of myself as becoming stronger than my problems. Singing REALLY loudly (awfully including but not limited to changing lyrics to crude or nonsensical versions), painting, writing all of my emo junk down also seems to help me. Honestly, I need all the methods I can get. Some say depression is anger turned inward. When that is the case for me, I enjoy breaking stuff. So I go to a donation store and buy cheap dishes. I take permanent marker and write out whatever is bothering me, then take them to a brick wall and throw them at it. Cheapest therapy ever. Once I made a set for my stepdaughter. I gave her one for every month so she could scribble all her irritations down on the plate, then chunk it at the end of the month. Or she could keep them and have one weird diary for her dinner parties. Oh and as a throwback to my childhood, I actually "play" in the dirt. Ok to look appropriate, I pull a weed out or stick a flower in it, but there's something to be said for coming into contact with dirt. (I still have to scrub under my fingernails a lot afterwards. But it's worth it.) http://permaculture.com.au/why-gardening-makes-you-happy-and-cures-depression/
  19. Just listened to a video of animals making weird sounds. I think ShardWorlds seem more normal than this one.

  20. Well seeing Matt's name was an instant boost for me. Made me feel like one of my favorite fictional characters was real and posting on the Web. Quiver: I hope things are better now.
  21. Alright---this one isn't a pretty photo. The reality of what it represents is great. We went to look into 3D printing. If you haven't heard of it, it's worth a Google. If you can draw it or photograph it, you can have a solid, 3D version of it printed. People are using it to make figurines, re-create historical etchings, jewelry, shoes, models, inventions, etc. In my opinion, the most excellent use that I saw, was a father engineering the bits to make an artificial hand for his disabled child to use. Going a step further, he released his data to others online for $5 US so that they could also "print" custom prosthetics, or physical adaptations, at a fraction of the cost as previous methods. It's just another example of how far a parent will go to help their child live as full of a life as possible. I know you cosplayers are having lots of ideas now. :-) Suddenly all of those bits of specialized imaginary visual aspects might not be so hard to get just right.
  22. No that's perfect! It gives me an idea of where to look on the original, then I totally See it! I wonder what he's reaching for? Ha! I was seeing a hand a whole different way---but now I can only see your version.
  23. I saw it mentioned in an article about WoR. I almost Died. <- Ok that's a little overly dramatic, but it was pretty exciting.
  24. Welcome. I, too, love me some Snape. (The HP puppet pals are quoted nonstop in my home. Our favorite is Harry hitting on Jenny. "You're so hot...like a stove... like a zesty pepper... beautiful like a Thomas Kinkade painting.") I don't think you will be disappointed by Words of Radiance. Stick around. I think he's just going to keep getting better and better until all of our minds are blown beyond recognition. Your free time is about to be hijacked by All of his books and stories.
