  1. Oh yeah and John-Ryse Davies? (Gimli, Treebeard) I've been awake for ten minutes and can't find my copper mind so I forgot some things. @Swimmingly, is it possible to shave down said block into the proper shape? I'm planning on something similar to the shardblade at the bottom of Shallan's drawings, I think it might be Oathbringer but I'm not sure. It's The fat one that has the hook coming up off the back (that part will not be on my blade)
  2. I like it. PHOENIX con in June. Bruce Campbell, Nathan Filion, Eliza Duckshoes (hehe), and the guy who plays Capt. Jack on Doctor Who. my plan was styrofoam glued to a dowel but me no think it work.
  3. I'm attempting to make a shardblade for a con and was wondering if anyone had any tips for sturdiness or any general crafting tips.
  4. I believe it's safe to say that at least one set of plate and a blade it in the Soul Calibur universe, Nightmare is clearly a full shardbearer, think about it the sword is actually referred to as the Soul Edge, IT EATS SOULS!
  5. Windrunner/Mistborn because duh. Shard blade+ Coin shot, hehehe awesome.
  6. Yes it does Caleb, so Storming bad.
  7. Storm it Swimingly, time to bring out my lvl. 100 OPINION. I honestly dislike the bastardization of Vamps and Lycans in Twilight, haven't read it but have seen enough publicity to not be interested. The crowd that books like Twilight are aimed at are clearly not the mid-twenties, wrench turning, Booz drinking, cigarette smoking, metal head nerds (please tell me that's an actual crowd and I'm not alone) It's aimed at young women who like romance and drama and shiny sparkly things, these young ladies (and occasionally men) are just as big of fanatics to their genre as we are to ours. As for The Hunger Games, I haven't read those either but I enjoyed the movies to an extent and I find little fault in them. They have a similar fan base as aforementioned Twilight but with a smidge more action. These are YA books to be taken at face value, people like them, people don't. What can we do about it? Nada. Love them or hate them they are still better than sitting in front of a tv and drooling all day. ...Twilight still sucks IMO though.
  8. STORMS PEOPLE! HOW ABOUT THAT EPILOGUE IN WoR HUH???? Anybody? Yeah? No? Change subject and go back to being friends before we devolve into voidspren or worse.... Iternetspren... I'm storming tired of talking about Hunger Games or Twilight, these are books that were clearly not targeted at most of us but there are people who like reading them, not me but some people. Ketek I know what you are getting at and I agree with you but I think the best plan of action for ALL OF US. is to change topic quickly. Tl;dr change topic right meow... Please.
  9. YAY for grimness and joylacking. (sounds like a mean nickname one order or KR would give another... Joylackers)
  10. "boohoohoo, I have an awesome spren who is totally awesome and stuff but I'm a big whiny butt" -Kaladin btw just finished WoR and it should be called WoA Words of Awesome.
  11. Why are you looking at that? You said books Caleb not pieces of wasted dead tree containing ink(and poop) smears. They are evil.
  12. That whole conversation, as the awesome Ketek said, is beautiful.
  13. She's a Sprencess... how Delightful.
  14. SO I just read the conversation between Hoid and Dalinar in chapter 679 (pgs.796-799) and got cold chills after Hoid walked away. Did this happen to anyone else? The whole conversation is deep and those few pages deepened my respect for Hoid as an awesome character.
  15. You have offender her Highness Delightful... you'd better apologize.
  16. No Nightblood that's evil, you'd have to kill yourself after.
  17. "But think of how much fun it would be"
  18. doubtful, too bad I'm not a lightweaver, I could ask it to please rebind itself. Would that work?
  19. Yes that was quite funny, but not as funny as when they met back up. Also the Shartplate conversation (misspelled on purpose)
  20. Dust cover is fine, I leave that at home, it's the book itself.
  21. DON'T MAKE IT WORSE I was treating it like my baby, not eating while reading, washing my usually filthy hands (I'm an aircraft fueler) like 50 times before reading and I take it everywhere. All my books are my babies. I'm devastated but it's still readable so I am doing so now. 23. You are telling us this because it is simply... enjoyable*. HA you thought I was going to pun didn't you??!??! *Delightful hehehehehehe.
  24. On page 488 of WoR and finally get the stick joke. I laughed at "I am a stick" part for ten minutes. My wife likened it unto "I am not Amelia Pond, I am a voice interface"
