What did you say and has he responded yet?
-
Anyone want the honors? I won't be able to send it for another hour and a half at least.
-
Might be a good idea. With a note saying, "TwiLyght knows every Epic's weakness. PM her for further instructions, and stay close to Remington Springfield." ....which would be awkward if he's never read Steelheart. Still, it might help with the confusion.
-
I think I'll friend him too. Just cuz. And no, I didn't make that profile. Like Mailliw said, I would've added some major trolling. Like a poem that's really an acrostic spelling out HELP ME NOW. I do sometimes.
-
If that Traveller guy posts "I'm dating an insane Epic and another one just figured out I'm not an Epic HALP MEEEEEE," I am going to laugh so hard. And then I'll help the poor guy. I seriously adore that Murphy pony.
-
If GM approval is needed, I approve. Agreeing with what Mailliw said. It would drive home what CM is willing to do in this war for Lightwards and Altermind.
-
I think he did that after Chicago Joe left to buy more whiskey.
-
I can still change it...
-
If the question was "Will there be ponies?" Then the answer is yes. So much yes.Edit: And I have arrived at a solution to the problem of Scorch's funeral--namely, that no one liked him enough to attend.

New thread up.

A continuation of the first Question thread (link to first thread to come). For those curious about and new to the Oregon RP, this is a place to plan, ask questions, seek GM approval on characters, tell jokes, post pictures of ponies, and any variation of the above. You do not need to read every page of this thread to join. If this one ends up like the last one, it will probably be mostly ponies and jokes. If you want to join, skip to the last page and ask. Do not feel obligated to read every single page of the planning thread. Seriously. If there's an important conversation here, we will link you to it or give you a summary. We want you to join; we don't want to give you a ton of homework. For current players, good work. We've posted so many ponies and jokes that we had to expand. Keep it up. Long live the Oregon RP, and long may we ponify all that is in it.

I'll do that now. If that one gets as much traffic as this one, would it work better to abandon it at 200 or 100 pages?
-
Sweet. Mods, would it make things easier if we closed this thread and opened a second one for the same purpose?

What Happened in Portland
TwiLyghtSansSparkles replied to TwiLyghtSansSparkles's topic in Reckoners RPG
"Say, didn't Funtimes teleport on her own back at the bank?" Nathan went cold. Voidgaze knew. An Epic, a real Epic, knew. In that instant, Nathan saw the future. He saw Voidgaze spin him around with a friendly smile on her face. He saw her raise her hand and, once Lightwards' attention was hers, repeat her observation. He saw Funtimes restrained by the tassels of a white cloak. He saw Lightwards shoot him and raise him, again and again until Nighthound arrived to complete his penance. Then a sliver--nothing more--of reason cut through that vision. Voidgaze had asked. Not told. She had leaned in and whispered while his back was to Lightwards. Her tone was that of a genuine question, asked with a mixture of curiosity and concern. She had asked him. Not Lightwards. Not one of the many Epics at the bouncy castle that day. She was giving him a chance to deny it. And if Nathan knew one thing about Epics, it was that he had to tell the truth. "It was her idea," he whispered back, nodding at Funtimes. His girlfriend was still grinning at Revolution's name. "No one else knows. Lightwards--" He drew a breath and wished it were steady. Wished he could keep the pleading note from his voice. "He thinks it's real. It was her idea, I swear." He stuffed shaking hands into his pockets, the heat of the jungle feeling more oppressive than ever, and waited for Voidgaze to announce his secret. If she calls dibs on killing me, maybe she'll make it quick. -
No. We are not sure, because he is. ALL HAIL THE UNICYCLIST, KING OF EPICS!!!!

[ENDLESS ENDLESS APPLAUSE]

I second that.
-
Yes, but I'd imagine having Nighthound trying unsuccessfully to tear your arms off would be very distracting.
-
It survived. Brilliant. I love it when it does that.
-
Yeah, Murphy is a pretty big wrinkle. Maybe, if he likes puzzles, Funtimes could put him in a room that's one giant puzzle. Of course, his Murphionic field would ensure that one of the pieces didn't fit right, allowing him to escape, and there would be a flaw in the design that allowed him to turn the piece into a gigantic knife with a will of its own or something like that. Sounds like a good plan, though, and I can see Altermind going for it, too.
-
That is a very accurate analogy, yes. Speaking of CorpseMaker (yes, I know he was only briefly mentioned, but we're speaking of him NOW ) is Project Amber going forward? Because once the wrinkles are ironed out, I think it would be a pretty solid plan to take care of that guy.
-
She's an unstable nuclear warhead with glitter in her hair and a smile on her face. I like it.
-
It's a good excuse. Especially with Nighthound roaming the streets.
-
It's up to you. If that's the sort of thing she'd notice, then have her notice it. My guess with the CM thing is that he assumed Traveler was A teleporter, not THE only teleporter. And if worst comes to worst, Nathan can always refuse to teleport without her because, c'mon, would you wander a city like Portland without someone like Funtimes?
-
I was thinking of that the other day, how ironic it is that CorpseMaker was the one who assumed he was the teleporter, or at least a teleporter, when she teleported on her own. Then again, everyone was kind of distracted. And I should probably edit her teleporting out if Ricochet's arms, since that doesn't fit with her must-teleport-anything-she's-touching restriction I set up for her later. And no, the bouncy castle did not have security cameras. Maybe the bank did, but she put an end to that when she showed off.
