  1. And when he asks for Funtimes' help…. Not that she isn't a useful ally, as Lightwards pointed out, but Altermind does not seem like the type of ruler who would want Funtimes as a coworker. I thought it might be fun, but it didn't fit with Theory's headcanon of Nathan leaving just a few years prior, or my headcanon of Nathan having lived in Newcago since before it was Newcago. So we scrapped the idea.
  2. Glad I'm not the only one, then. I always sit there, reading my own stuff, and I'm rewriting it in my head. With some of my posts, I'll go, "Holy cow, did I actually write this?" I asked Theory about that when I first read it, but it was just a coincidence. So we finally decided that they weren't related. Edit: I don't know if I'd call Nathan the central character. If not for all of you guys, it'd just be him and Funtimes wandering through Portland, turning random objects into kittens and aggravating everyones' allergies.
  3. There's more of a method to our madness there, while here it's more of a madness to our method. Only problem is….I don't really like rereading stuff I've written. I don't know why. I know it's not the best habit to get into (too much of that and I'll be like George "I've Forgotten Half my Own Canon" Lucas) but….I don't know. Just a weird quirk, I guess.
  4. Part two (which I haven't posted until now because my teachers love homework and I haven't gotten much of a chance to write):
  5. Thanks! It's super fun to write.
  6. Guesses about his powers? I got nothing. But Calamity is that an awesome-looking pony!
  7. Just as soon as Nighthound turns his back, the Unicyclist will make his move.
  8. "Petty is keeping a stranger who never did a thing to you from eating a delicious piece of bacon so you could insult everyone in the room." "I….I don't have a comeback for that. Your hatred is entirely justified." Also, because I promised you Risk and shipping...
  9. I swear customers have a psychic connection with me, and all decide to walk in the second I'm about to do something else. Paperwork? The phone rings and the person cannot speak to a robot or a voicemail, they have to talk to an advisor right now. Straightening the lounge? Someone walks through the door. About to go to the bathroom? A car pulls up the drive. They know. I could swear they know.
  10. Yes. The party grows so large and ecstatic that the partiers decide to liberate Astoria. They do so through the joint powers of friendship, fun, and karaoke. I don't know, but I have the feeling she and Flowerface would get along well. "Who goes next." A question for the ages. I would say Joe or Kobold.
  11. I think I know what our next Reckoners RP will be called. We'll call it What Happened After Nighthound Kicked the Bucket. The entire RP will consist of a massive party celebrating his demise.
  12. Thanks. Funtimes now has all the reason she needs to get him on her side…. …..and Upgrade has all the reason he needs to gravitate toward Funtimes as opposed to the aforementioned necromancer.
  13. For the articles, I just skim. It's the only way I can get through the mountain of reading I have each week. I don't think I've sat down and read a single article in its entirety since I started grad school.
  14. Blame my teachers. "Sure, I'll have you read a 34-page article, a 48-page article, and a 26-page article all in the same week! That's totally reasonable! It's not like you're taking two other classes and working full-time and volunteering as a Sunday School teacher and leading a kid's story time twice a month! My class is the only thing that matters to you, right?"
  15. When Lightwards found that book, he read it cover to cover, then went back and read it again. He was so busy reading the book that Funtimes quietly assumed control of the Empire, transforming it from an ironclad dictatorship into a benevolent, if quite random, monarchy where its citizens gathered three times a day, wearing their traditional plate hats, to catch whatever was for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as it fell from the sky. Remington and Revolution tugged all the dinosaurs out from under Lightwards' control and used them to protect the Kingdom of Pancakes and Merryness, as it was called, from any Epic assailants.
  16. And when Lightwards learns that their friendship has gotten to the point where they do nice things for each other just because, the mortal terror gives him the hiccups.
  17. I still say we go for it.
  18. Funtimes, so we can finally have a canon meeting between them?
  19. Pol Pot gets locked in a room with Koschei and Lucentia. Hitler just gets shot, healed, and locked in a room with her.
  20. Fine. We shoot him, then have Koschei heal him, and then we lock him in a room with Lucentia. Best of both worlds.
  21. And what, precisely, is wrong with a shiny yellow sports car decorated to look like Tweety Bird? I know just the thing. We get insane!Mobius in the MoNA, get Lucentia to anger her somehow, and have insane!Mobius send Lucentia back in time and space to Germany 1939. We lock Hitler in a room with Lucentia to punish him for his crimes.
  22. A farm about twenty miles northeast of The Dalles. Remington's flashback took place on the northernmost farm outside The Dalles, and Koschei's first viewpoint flashback-type-thing happens on the next farm, one a few miles south of the Springfield farm.
  23. I will write this along with the double date. My mom is the first of six. My dad has an older sister, but he's the firstborn son, so he acts more like a firstborn than a middle child. I'm the first of three, and my brother is also technically a middle child, but as the firstborn male he acts more like a firstborn. My sister is the youngest, but there's a five-year gap between her and my brother and a seven-year gap between her and I, so she acts more like a firstborn than a youngest. It...makes more sense if you see us all play Risk together.
