You think THAT'S crack?
-
Except Lighthound, and maybe Aldo/Wes. CorpseMaker/Murphy could totally happen, though. "The Waiting" by Tom Petty for Backtrack/MV "Good to Be Alive" by Skillet for Alice/Remington
-
Yes! We need to make more of these ships canon. I already have songs for Alice/Remington and Backtrack/MV.

Come now, Edge, be serious. Steelheart is a busy man with no time for romance. (But yes, they would get along quite well.)

C'mon, Kobold, what are you thinking? Phil and Autumn cannot be shipped until they have been properly ponified. That is pretty ironic. Oh, well. Those soldiers are used to Epics being a bunch of crazy slontzes. Any more trauma and he'll lock himself in a closet, shouting for the Twins to just shove food through the crack below the door, then curl up and whimper. At least once he knows Koschei is dead, he'll be able to look into his mind with a bit more confidence. Or, at the very least, he'll be able to think "LOL you're gonna die" every time he looks into his mind.

She's been through worse. I was thinking Vondra would have her as a part-time counselor of sorts—mostly there to lend a listening ear to whoever needed it, which was quite a few people post-Koschei. Still, I imagined she'd be sent to talk to Backtrack and see if there was something wrong that might cause trouble in town (given his habit of alternately staring into space with a look of mute horror and grinning like a madman) in the hopes that her non-threatening personality and gentle way of dealing with people would keep him from attacking anyone.

I have that song on my iPod. I still get chills every time I hear it. Even if it's a 115-degree summer day and my AC hasn't kicked in yet. Seriously, that movie is a work of art. It's a post-apocalyptic movie that manages to be more buoyant than most movies set in the present day. Also, question about Backtrack and Autumn: Did you want to torment Backtrack for a while longer after he and the Twins leave Reader's office, or can Autumn greet them shortly after and let it come out in the course of conversation that she was there when Koschei died?

I read fast. MAHAHAHAHAH! ALL HAIL KING KOBOLD! Yes, congratulations! It's one of those rare movies that made me cry, not because it was sad, but because it was just so beautiful. That scene where WALL-E and EVE dance together in space was what did it. It was so beautiful and innocent, and with the computer's voice-over defining "dancing" for the Captain….perfection. That scene transformed the whole movie from a post-apocalyptic movie about a cute robot, to a story about how faithfulness can pave the way for hope and rebirth. After that scene, I can't see how anyone could call that movie depressing.

What Happened in Portland

Quota couldn't help breathing a wow as he took in the man before him. CorpseMaker was tall, as Epics went, but that was not what inspired awe. It wasn't the striking effect his turtleneck produced when contrasted against his sharp eyes or his impressively bushy eyebrows. It wasn't even the way he carried himself, tall and proud, as though inviting, daring a sniper to shoot at him. CorpseMaker was surrounded by powerful Epics, and there wasn't an ounce of fear in him. He glared at them as though he owned them, because he did. They could shoot, riot, stab or detonate a bomb, and Quota knew CorpseMaker would stand tall. His lack of fear confirmed it. "Quota, is it? What is your power, and why did you choose to serve me?" Quota sipped his coffee. "Fear. That's my power." He jerked his thumb toward Mundivore. "This guy here almost smashed me with his mech, I got him so scared. Made another guy cry on the way in." He broke off with a smile and a chuckle. Making men cry was always the most fun. Girls cried at almost everything—funerals, movies, insurance commercials—but men held it in. Bottled it up and stuffed everything down. It just made the explosion all the more satisfying. "'Course, that wouldn't work on you. I couldn't scare you if I wanted." He sipped his coffee again. "I picked you 'cause you sounded the most fun, but now I know you deserve someone like me. Someone who can make the whole city curl up and cry like little babies right before you smash 'em." -
It's one of the best for sure. And it's one of those movies where I didn't go into the theater knowing I was going to love it. Like with Iron Man and The Avengers, I knew those movies were going to be fantastic, and they were. I went to Guardians of the Galaxy thinking I was in for a few hours of fun, hoping it was as good as everyone said it was, and I was surprised by one of the funniest, most well-crafted, heartfelt Marvel movies to date. It's definitely up there with the first Iron Man, The Avengers, and The Winter Soldier. WALL-E is probably my favorite Pixar movie ever made, maybe tied with Up, but I unfortunately haven't memorized as much of it as I have other movies since everyone else in my family thinks it's depressing. No matter how many times I tell them that it's the extremely hopeful story of an adorable little robot whose faithful work saved humanity, they always claim it's too depressing and turn on something else.

Me too. I'm going to buy it and watch it until I can recite it as flawlessly as I can recite Finding Nemo.

Thank you, thank you.

Nighthound? Do you really think you're the creepiest person on the planet yet? You have a lot of stalking to do.
-
..... This is your revenge for the last flashback, isn't it?
-
Which song is it? I'm on my phone and YouTube won't open.
-
If we were in the Potterverse and Lightwards saw his boggart, the class would probably think bad fashion sense was his greatest fear.
-
This has been "Epic Plot Twists of Oregon." Tune in next time to learn the true nature of Murphy.
-
A god who wears socks that don't match and thinks Calamity is the Flying Spaghetti Monster? O.o
-
Okay, I think I found a crack ship cracky enough to match Aldo/Wes.
-
It would begin with Funtimes calling Steelheart a baby meanieface.
-
She got rid of most of the walls and other things in the rooms, and she did all that after Lightwards raised a good number of dinosaurs, banking on his excitement over the jungle to keep him from noticing what was missing.
