For AP US, my teacher spent all year giving us nigh-impossible tests while telling is the actual exam would be much harder. I think I got a 3 on the practice exam. The test rolled around, I was on pins and needles for days....and then one morning during announcements, my teacher reads my name alongside other students who got a 5 on the AP US exam. -

Kobold! How dare you make such a baseless accusation! I was planning to have this character die tragically... ..which only makes it worse. Basically, it's a character with no real flaws who serves as an idealized version of the author, who lives out the author's fantasies. The definition is broad and contested, but TvTropes offers a pretty good take on it.

Oh! Instead of a pug Epic, maybe later on we could introduce a vanilla who breeds pugs—but ethically, so it's not a puppy mill. Maybe that's where Chimera got Protector Pug? And this vanilla loves their pugs, and cares for them, and makes them little outfits, and the Epics leave them alone because they think this Crazy Pug Lady Person is too weird to bother with!

Can I cast a vote for the Puginator's power making him/her the Pied Piper of pugs or something? Or an Epic with an affinity for pugs whose corruption drove them to vacate an entire small town so their pugs could live in harmony? Because I think making an Epic who's like the Panda, but with pugs, kind of makes the pugs more horrifying than they should be. I mean, some of those pandas used to be people. Changed against their will.

No, of course not. Kobold, if you make more of those David-style files, I'll buy an Epic off Voidus and make his weakness pugs so Sam can be saved by a pug puppy stampede. (How's that? )
