You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Left replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
So That's the system.! Upvote for you for explaining it so well. -
I would definitely be interested to see a mistborn try and burn shardplate/blade. Brandon says that you can hack most of the magics to get them to work for each other so it might be possible to fuel allomamcy with stormlight, although I don't see why you would need to. Although the metallurgy on Roshar isn't that advanced from what I can tell.

Yeah, I don't think eshonai is going to be KR, I think that if there's a parshendai KR it will be Shen. He's just so cool, that it would be a shame to see him just as a squire. I think that Eshonai will die in stones unhallowed (book 3) right before her flashback book.( book 4)

Upvote for the theory, it definitely sounds plausible.

I'm not really Spooked by it, I was surprised at his Return however.

Hey babe, you wanna see my collection of signed Sanderson books -
I can answer the first question a little. We know that when Harmony ascended part of all the things he fixed is that he changed the Kolos. Exactly how or what specificly he did, we're not sure (that I know of) but we do know that now they can breed. I'm assuming that Harmony did something similar to the Kandra.

Don't speak so loudly, you might attract a snowflake and get Nale hunting you down. -
Eshonai confirmed for Knights Radiant?
Left replied to Adolin_Dustbringer's topic in Stormlight Archive
I always thought that Shen (Sorry I can't remember his real name) who showed up later in WoR (Does anyone else think this guy is awesome) would be the Parshendi KR. It just seemed to make more sense to me since Eshonai seems more like a good guy who got possessed and needs to be killed, then a good guy who went bad and needs to be redeemed. -

There hasn't been a time in my life where I haven't been reading, so finding a Tipping point wasn't easy but what really got me into High Fantasy was Wheel of Time when I was twelve or so. I got way of kings and towers of midnight at the same time which was kind of funny actually because the only other brandon book I'd read at that point was alcatraz. In between devouring Brandon and WoT I read Dragonbone chair, which was in a lot of ways My lord of the rings, even though I'd already been reading epic fantasy for a while by then.

When you realize that 20 years from now, you'll need at least one and a half bookshelves for all the Brandon books that you own, all of them signed. -
I saw this one kid with the Final Empire at a scout thing a couple months ago, and I was like MISTBORN!!!! The guy was brand new to Sanderson so I figured I'd better not mention the cosmere, but I told him to keep reading because the ending-and everything else- is awesome. He just kind of looked at me....

There's the Saga of Recluse by Modesitt, although those hop around on a timeline so that you get different groups of characters. I haven't read it so I don't know how good it is. There's Dune which goes on for as long as you feel like reading it, although a lot of people would classify it as sci-fi. I believe it's much more like Fantasy, but that's slightly off topic. There's the Dragon Riders of Pern which does the same thing as Recluse, except with Dragons. Mercedes Lackey has also written a ton of stuff that I haven't actually read, but I'm pretty sure it's pretty tightly knit. There's also the Riftwar Saga, but that one leaves the main characters alone for over two thirds of the thing which drives me crazy. Quick question, are the sword of truth books like Wheel of time-one really long story that is worth it in the end- or a bunch of small groups of books, kind of like the mistborn trilogies except without hundred of years passing.

I'm really sad that only one person has mentioned Modesitt... The Imager Trilogy- L.E. Modesitt. I haven't read the prequel books so I'm not sure about them. Cosmere stuff Royal Assassin Trilogy- Robin Hobb I've only actually read the first book because of lack of time, but I really enjoyed it. I may as well put Rothfuss on here since it is amazing, although everyone else has already said it. The first trilogy of Dragon Riders of Pern and the Harper Trilogy- Anne Mcaffry First three books of Riftwar- Raymond E. Feist The Neverending Story- Michael Ende Timothy Zhan star wars books, because Star Wars is Fantasy not sci-fi. The first two trilogies of The Legend of Drizzt- R.A. Salvatore After these it starts heading downhill Memory Sorrow and Thorn- Tad Williams It's the only stuff by Tad that I like, but I really love this trilogy. More than I like LoTR easily.
-
Yeah, but if it was Logain or Cadsuane- who are both above average without being crazy powerful like Rand- than Kaladin does stand a chance.
-
Ah, now that's just mean, although shouldn't you be focusing on putting tons of buttons on tv remotes that don't do anything? I like that dedication one though.

I really liked that Chromium theory, it seems like the one that has the least number of things wrong with it. You might be able to use Electrum for the dodge, but I'm not sure if it would work.
