  1. Birds are surprisingly strong, and penguins are fast, and that beak is nasty. Still I can think of plenty of ways that I could win, especially for $1,000,000.
  2. Yeah, out of all the good guys I would trust Adolin with NB the least. Yay! Lopen is tied for second!!!! All the Herdazian cousins have joined with me to bring about the glowing lord of amazing,glowing,flying,sticking,one-armed-now two-armed, Herdaz Also, why isn't the Stick on the list?
  3. I do really enjoy the modern snip-its. And there were a few parts of the Adem that I liked, such as the razor leaf tree. I agree with Pilgrim, the first 200-300 pages will be at the university and then things get serious. There's just too much left to do for him to stay at the university for a really long time. (Much as I would like for him to do)
  4. I could take a goat, although like you say the first charge wouldn't be fun. After that would be...... a medium sized penquin? I'm not really sure so I might come back and edit this post. I love this topic idea mate, upvotes!
  5. Well except that Martin kill all characters, so that wouldn't work. I just finished WMF, and while I enjoyed the first half the second half wasn't my cup of tea at all.(From Felurian on) Now that he's back at the university I hope it gets better.
  6. *Wiping brain goup from off monitor* I think you just blew my mind. I think I'm going to find a couple random posts of yours and upvote them....
  7. Welcome to the shard ivory! Don't worry Kobold, we're all theoryspren. Great authors like Sanderson attract us like moths to a flame. (I've been wanting to use moths to a flame for ages, and this is the first time I've actually been able to put it in a sentence appropriately.)
  8. No problems. Silence Divine is the book that he did readings for during the WoR tour.
  9. Nah, Hoid's Peter. Both love to troll all over the cosmere, and they know way more than is fair.
  10. Well that's true, maybe I was really looking at Hunger games and the 28th shannarra book.
  11. I think NB and Lopen would be awesome. "Get me some spheres so we can do some glowing!" "Would you like to destroy some evil today?" "Yep Gancho, girls love a glowing Herdazian with a talking magic sword."
  12. That's almost word for word the reply I was thinking of. Upvotes for all! You know you're a Sanderson fan when you say Upvotes like people asking for another round of drinks.
  13. The only hope for the cosmere is the Stick!!!! All must join the church of the stick and sing hymns to the stick if they wish to live!
  14. You know this is going to stink for kaladin in book three since he's headed home, since hearthstone doesn't have a ton of spheres since it's such a agricultural/backwater place.
  15. I hate to double post, but I have new info so I don't mind doing it this time. I was rereading WoR and in part three in the first? epigraph it talks about mushing "powers" together while talking about surge binders. I don't have my copy with me so I can't give the direct quote, I'll edit when I have it. Pg. 377: chapter 33. I'm not sure if this really ties in, but it might. It's really ambiguous(typical Brandon) so I don't know if it really helps anything.
  16. I don't know I think that there are books that I would gladly through NB at. (Looking at twilight)
  17. You forgot that Tien is the reason that the TLR put Scadrial too close to the sun, caused the chasm line to appear, and gave the five scholars the ichor.
  18. You know you're a Sanderson Fan, when you seriously consider joining the statistcal rafo movement. I mean that's just insane trying to do that, but it is seriously tempting anyway.
  19. "Would you like to unbind some books today?"
  20. None of the things in this topic are odd in the least When you worry that "If I see someone glowing how will I know whether it's a surgebinder, or someone of the 8-10th heightening."
  21. When you call any insect with no wings and several pairs of legs a Cremling.
  22. Shannara series. I made it through elf stones- which had some good parts- but I was just so bored at that point that I only made it about 20 pages into wish song. Rift war trilogy. I absolutely loved magician, one of favorites in fantasy. And then after that Pug and Tomas had almost zero screen time. I mean really! They were what made it so good! I don't actually care very much about the princes or the thief kid. Silver thorn and Sethanon were what killed it for me. Wise mans fear. I loved name do the wind and the first half oh WMF but once you get to Felurian, things went downhill for me. Once he returns the two girls to the village it starts to get better, but I haven't gotten to far past that yet to tell if it's going to stay that way.
  23. That's a excellent theory, and it really does tie into my mine. Or rather mine ties in well with yours. I think that of all the theories I've read this one is definitely the most grounded in what we know, and also fits into Brandon's style.
  24. I'm glad to hear I'm not just a loon. Can you post a link to that theory? Edit: minor spelling.
  25. What I think is that other Shards have invested in Stormlight. It could just be Cultivation, or it could be her and a tiny bit of Odium. This would explain why Stormlight heals you, why Stormlight has so much investiture, and why stormlight comes with the Highstorms- which we know have been invested in by more than just Honor. I think that this could also explain the difficulty in staying still while having stormlight sucked in- which reminds me of the thrill a little bit( there's differences obviously but they seem similar)- although this could just come from the huge amount of energy that you have inside of you. Thoughts? WoB that disprove my theory?
