This is quite good. Amazing for your age. Keep writing, I think you have a gift. It was interesting to have a bit of depth in Kirin, in that short of a clip. I would be very interested to see where the story goes.

Welcome! I liked your summation about what you like about the Cosmere. I have to agree. I too like the first ideal, and I think it is part of why it feels like you can connect with the Knights Radiant.

This is awesome. Even in things like shardblades separated from the guidance of the Nahel Bond, or the Nahel Bond without the benefit of Honor's involvement. It really seems to match with a lot of the stories being told.

Isn't Edgedancer before the end of WoR, and the showdown with Kaladin?

Maybe I should rephrase: "something in all this SEEMS to be working", and maybe even add "temporarily...". I agree that the real reason for the long break is unknown. The Diagram stated Which says to me that Nale's efforts are a waste of time. But it is also possible that Talenel held strong and kept it at bay. Maybe. The Diagram can be wrong. Hm... more to think about.

Most of this is yet to be learned. We are not quite sure how the oathpact worked, and why. Or really even what it was. But here is what I gather from the prelude in WoK: They heralds were not sure what to expect when they walked away from their oaths, but they had decided they could not handle another session being tortured at Damnation. They hoped Talenel still connected to the oathpact would be enough to keep Odium bound by it. They hoped that by not returning, the cycles of desolations would actually end. I dont know if they want to reverse what they have done, or if they think they can. Some other stuff that I think applies: They were not the only ones to walk away. The Knights Radiant broke their oaths, and the Parshendi gave up all their songs and forms. Nale specifically is working to keep the Desolation at bay, through making sure the Knights Radiant do not reform, by finding and killing people with the Nahel Bond. Some how, something in all this is working, as they have had a period of 4500 years with no Desolation. The "Final Desolation" is not like the others, almost like it got started in a different way I dont know how much of that applies to what you are thinking. No doubt the oathpact is a complex concept for which we do not have all the facts yet. It will be fun to learn more.

Everything on this post so far makes sense to me, and I think it does mean that you could summon multiple blades at once. Not likely more than 2, and even then it could be very unlikely... but possible. But I have a variation of the question. Is a spren limited to a single form, or could a single spren manifest as more than one blade?

This is the same guy that was the huntmaster for the hunt that went wrong in WoK. Interesting that even with that disaster, he is still in roles of responsibility.

I think a much more common occurrence will be like Jasnah where we think they are dead, but there are legitimate reasons for them not to be dead, and they pop back up later, "Surprise, rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated!"

Everything you are saying is true, I believe. However, I think that even if the knowledge were known, it may not mean we get a bunch of people returning from the dead. I imagine that whatever process he uses will be very difficult to pull off, and very hard to replicate, because that is how Kelsier works. Brandon has stated that he is often worried about having the death of any character not be permanent, because it can take away the level of danger the characters are truly in. He is kind of in that situation already, many characters we thought were dead have turned out not to be, but I imagine he will always be careful about it.

Shallan continues to be one of my favs, although I never tire of Wayne. Lift's entire interlude in WoR continues to be one of my favorite scenes.

Welcome to nerdiness of Sandertown. This is a fun place, and I think you will fit right in. Mistborn or Stormlight? I love them both so much for different reasons, but if I had to pick one, Stormlight. Maybe because that is what I am reading, but I think it is because there seems to be NO END to the complex world-building and secrets and hidden gems.
