Have you read Yumi and/or Sunlit Man? Cameos in both. They also make a Cameo in The Lost Metal.

Would Sleepless be the 3rd race native to Yolen? Man, Dragon, and Sleepless?
Brandon Sanderson
The Sho Del are the third race from Yolen.
celestialwolf157
I've heard you mention the Sho Del a few times, though only that they were the third race on Yolen. Is there anything else you could reveal about the Sho Del that's not too spoilery?
Brandon Sanderson
The big thing happening on Yolen (and major plot points of both Dragonsteel and The Liar of Partinel, neither of which I decided to publish) is two competing ecologies on one planet. An entire invasive ecology (called "fain") and the regular one, familiar to us. The Sho Del fill the niche in the fain ecosystem that humans fill in ours.
I started both Yumi and the Sun lit man but to tell you the truth I didn't finish them. Lol I work 60 pluse hr a week and thoses two books were not grasping my attention like Stormlight and Mistborn do. I do plan on going back to them just don't know when

I don't think it starts off as hey I'm going to date another species I think it starteds off as the iindividuals become friends a human with a Singer and then thing either stay as friends or grow. When you start to have feeling for some one tour hart is never is thinking what race or in this case species.
Also I feel like the singers in thier nonwar form aren't completely covered in shells. So the idea of a Singer could be attractive I have seen artists rendering of female singers and some artists have made them attractive looking.
Another thought I have, I have always loved the idea of a next leavle of evolution human/singer children. What could that look like and what would the new species ability be. I would love to see art of a half human half singer.
I my self have also loved the idea of Kaladin and Syl being together and seeing what there children would/could be. I also love a good love story.

Sorry for such a delayed response thank you for this @TreamayneTreamayneI also have dyslexia and can not spell to save my life. Computer and technology give me major issues as well. But I can talk to anyone about any thing in person. But thank you again for posting all that information. Brandon books and is over all cosmer is at some overwhelming to try and remember what has been said and what he has planned out . Thee so much more that he keeps to himself. The man is truly a master at his art.

Thank you @Treamayneill be 40 in April and still can't spell. If I didn't have Microsoft word at work I would be lost. Do you think Ghostbloods 3 books will take place in the 80s . I'm sure it's been brought up already. I was getting into scifi books and read the foundation books along with 5 of the Exspans and also To Sleep in a sea of stars . Loved the last one liked the Exspans but my true love is epic Fantasys do you think Ghostbloodes will be in the modern day or is that the 80s style cyberpunk books Brandon had talked about in the past. I live the way Brandon writes but I am nervous about leaving the epic fansty. But also would love to see a space epic. Haha I'm all over the place

How much time has past in world from Way of kings-Wind and Truth. If I remember correctly a Roshar year is long then a earth year. It's closer to 500 day then ours right? How would that work with other planets in the Cosmar. I don't believe thier years are longer or I guess I should say I am not sure. I know at the end of the book Shallan is told that Roshar is in a time bubble and by the time they are out of it 80 or so years will have past but could that be closer to 100 years for the other planets. I am not as great as alot of other people on this forum in articulating myself so I apologize if this doesn't read well. But Thank you for looking at it would love to know peoples thoughts and opinions

Brandon says that WaT is physically the largest book Tor could print.
Hmmmm as of right now ha, But mabye 7 years from now they can come up with a way to print bigger. Or they are going to have to make the print smaller or thiner pages like the Bible.

Can book 6-10 get much bigher. I mean Wind and Truth is over 1300 pages. But physically can the books be that much bigger. Wind and Truth is the largest book I have ever read. For me I could read 2000 pg Storm light book. But would the publisher push back on a 1400-1500 page book it must cost them more and more to make each ST book.

I can't find the wob, but I recall Brandon mentioned that these five flashback characters will be main ones along with whoever of the current ones survives WaT. Another one I remember is that he originally considered to give Kaladin two flashback books. These make me think the current main characters are not going anywhere. I think it'll be more similar - though likely not to this extent - to what happened with Venli and Szeth. They got flashbacks, we got more of them overall, but they never even got close to taking over the lead.
I love the idea of a 2nd flashback chapters for Kaladin. Hopefully it coukd cover the tine between the 10-15 in world gap between book 5 and book 6. I could show Kaladin and Syl fslling in love and being together I love a good love story I know alot of people aren't intrested in them being together but I want it to happen big time

Before seeing this i was thinking he was dead dead But now I'm thinking didn't the text read somthing about a sliver of honor braking away. It could of gone to Dalinar. I would've to see Dalinar being a guide to Adloin. But in the same breath I want Adloin to do what ever he is going to do with out his father

hes already retired and do hope that its done in Whelan's style by Lyon
Oh ok. Lyon is awesome and seems like a wicked nice. Guy he once responded to some of my art work was wicked nice about it even though it was pathetic haha

If book 6 doesn't come out for 8 years will Mr. Michael Whelan even want to do paint the cover he most likely will be retired. I believe he will be in his 80s by that point and we'll into his 90s by the time we get to the latter portion of the back 5 books. I myself would love to see Mr. Howard Lyon take over the duties. His art is also amazing. On a side note I really loved that Brandon had Shallan saying that she would have to start working with oils instead of just charcoal to do a painting of her amd Adolins wedding . It made me think of a painting of her wedding done by Mr. Lyon would love to know people thoughts. Thank you

No, that is not a sure thing. The only thing we know for certain is that at least some of the Primary POV characters from the First Arc will become secondary PoV or non-PoV characters, and Secondary Characters in the First Arc will become primary PoV Characters - with the five flashback arcs as Lift, Renarin, Ash, Taln, Jasnah (order may be changed, if needed, just as Szeth and Dalinar were swapped from the initial plan - and the caveat that a character does not need to survive in the primary timeline to have flashbacks is still valid (e. g. Eshonai))
Thank you, bot to sound corny But Kaladin has ment so much to ke in these past 5 book amd how ever many years it has been. Brandon Sanderson writting of the character has helped focus my out look on mental health. In doing so it has help me relieve how much I love to help people with mental health crisis in my law enforcement career. I also just love how epic our main characters have become. Adolin story arc was just outstanding in this book.

Hello, I just finshed Wind and Truth about 2 days ago I am about 1:45 or so into the first shardcast YouTube video. My question is our we %100 sure that none of our main characters will be POV characters. I just can't imagine a Stormlight book without any of them as POV characters. Kaladin and Syl to me is Stormlight along with Shallan and Adolin haha.
I trust Brandon that he's going write yet another amazing book but I just love thoese characters.

I live this and have loved this idea ever since thw last book. I want them together Kaladin needs love. I know he is better now. But the love of a lover can heal your soul in ways that nothing els can in my opinion. I 1000% think she wants to be with him. I think it will help him in ways he coukd never imagine. To be in love with someone and to know they are in live with you too and will be with you no matter what happens strengthens a Pearson in way that I for myself can not artqulate properly but if you know what I mean you know what I mean. Lol, pluse I would love to see what there children would be like what typ of being would that be part human part spren. That's so interesting to me. Tha k you for post this topic

I would love her to be able to have a physical body. I have wanted her and Kaladin to have a romantic relationship. Kal has gone through so much and Syl has been ther for him. To me I have felt that Brandon has given hints to us that there could be more then just friendship between the 2. With them dancing together and Syl trying to be able to touch and interact with objects in the physical realm. When we got the one POV Syl chapter I was really thinking we were going to go into her internal thoughts much more. But I am a hopless romantic and LOVE a good love story.

Hello I have not been hear for a very long time. I just finshed Wind and Truth this afternoon, and I loved it but also very sad I love the characters. I am really going to miss Dalinar. Shallan is 1000% pregnant I hope with twins or even triplets haha I would love that, I'm not sure about Kaladin I was really afraid he was going to die. But I don't know how feel about him having to live forever but I am happy that Syl is with him. They want them to be together together. When thwy were dancing together and Syl starting to be full size the while book I thought it was leading gus to them having a romantic relationship some how. Adolin arc was my favorite I for sure thought he was going to die and I realy like Colt dude was awesome. I could go on and on but I'll stop there for now. Just loved this book. Thank you so much Mr. Sanderson

Good chapter just wanted more. I'm sure I am not the 1st one to say this. But forcing KL away from fighting and have to look inward at himself will probably get him to speak the 4th ideal/ oath. But he is probably going to be going to a dark place before he gets there. Also I do t this I I want Kaladin in armor. I LOVE shard plate I have always been a tank in any video game I played so the big bulky armor is so cool to me. But Kaladin just doesn't fit in armour

Sorry if this was already talked about. Shallan and Formless. I have two idea is this her 4th. Personality who's doing the stuff for the ghostblood or could formless be her unborn child. I don't it's her unborn child but I like the idea. Plus I can't wait to find out the memories that she has forgotten.
