  1. ...You lucky, lucky man. (I have a weakness for redheads ala Locke Lamora)
  2. So from a symmetrical poem, I become a Herald? Not bad And yeah the last one was a bit lacking, alas. Try this: "It's too bad you're not an Augur, because then you'd see how good we could be together."
  3. "Hey there, are you a Lightweaver? Because the sight of you just Illuminated my day." Or "Are you an atium misting, because you'll know just what I think of you a few seconds before it shows."
  4. I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick? ...I am a stick.
  5. YOU DID NOT SPECIFY THE LEVEL OF PLAUSIBILITY. COMMIT TO YOUR OATHS.
  6. WOULD YOU BREAK THE OATHS YOU SWEAR, BONDSMITH? WOULD YOU KILL ME, JUST LIKE THE OTHERS ONCE DID?
  7. Shipping Hoid with ugly-crab-lizard thing in 3, 2, 1...
  8. Ah yes, Forgery. That's a very good shout too. Awakening is nice, but it didn't quite hit me. Has a lot more potential than the Metallic Arts though, although the latter is probably more combat-oriented.
  9. It would require that the exact same Investiture from the Shard be used, methinks. You could perhaps create something that looks like atium with tons of BioChromatic Breath, but it would be fuelled by Endowment and probably do very different things. It would be interesting though. What if someone turned all the Shards' investiture into god metals? What would their Allomantic/Feruchemical/Hemalurgical effect be?
  10. Ha, I'm somewhere around the 9th book. Haven't picked it up in months. Jordan is... well, not very good at speeding up his plot.
  11. The Way of Kings is the best I've read thus far. Sure, people are saying Words of Radiance is better. I think that's because it answers so many questions we had before, plus the tons of easter eggs we got regarding the Cosmere. Story-wise though, TWoK was far, far more noteworthy. That scene when Dalinar confronts Sadeas was absolutely lovely, especially because of what he did - it was storming symbolic. Kaladin's decision in the novel's climax too, and the part where he said what he needed to say was absolutely thrilling. My mind just folded in on itself and said 'nope' from the sheer awesomeness. The Final Empire is a close second, and I loved the heist theme to it - it reminded me so much of Inception (my favorite film), especially where Kelsier was laying out the plans to overthrow the TLR, not to mention when he taught Vin of Allomancy. The twist is the best I've seen in Cosmere novels thus far as well - despite Vin being the main character of the trilogy, in all honesty that book was Kelsier's book; the culmination of his character arc and his vengeance against TLR. The Inquisitor fight was pretty good as well, especially the part leading up to the fight and its ending.
  12. Wow, so it was you after all! My memory creeps me out sometimes Anyway, that is pretty cool. And have you read all the books yet? I presume you have read Warbreaker and the Mistborn trilogy at least.
  13. Mistborn and its Metallic Arts. Heavily constrained by rules, but that was what made it such a good system; it didn't allow for deus ex machina without good reason.
  14. I am near certain we'll get an interlude showing the Stone Shamans. Some people forget Spook far too easily.
  15. Highly doubt Harmony would give it to someone. Shards will change his personality, sure, but it's not been that long yet. The modern trilogy is only what, like a century or so after?
  16. I too, was once a lowly darkeyes. Now I am high prelan in the Ministry, lording it over those filthy peasant skaa. And I believe I've seen someone somewhere mention the pewter tattoo. I think I saw pictures too. Not sure if it was you, though, but apparently it was because she was going through some sort of illness, and the pewter tattoo was sorta like motivation to stay strong? Welcome!
  17. I doubt anyone will be able to breed a Mistborn in this trilogy; I think it's more a feint by Brandon to distract us from their true intentions - Hemalurgy, which is why Marsh gave that book to Marasi. However, I am very interested in knowing how a Mistborn came to exist during the modern trilogy... maybe their breeding plans worked after all? Someone continued it after Wax (supposedly) beats the bad guys?
  18. Too. Much. Win.
  19. Ruin is, after all the embodiment of entropy. The force of destruction and change. So if intent is required, and provided by Ruin, I would say it could still happen accidentally. The problem would be binding it correctly and getting into a situation you could kill and spike two people at the same time. The Lord Ruler never found out new bind points during a thousand years of research, mind.
  20. Maybe. Pretty interesting though, trying to bind a Splinter... would it just be like normal Hemalurgy or would there be ramifications?
  21. Easiest way would be atium. But knowing how little of that there is... Another problem would be the bind points.
  22. I know people have been spiked. I meant unintentionally, though.
  23. This, I like. *Vasher draws Nightblood* *Childlike voice screams DESTROY EVIL*
