  1. I'm not inclined to go on to crusades against anyone (yet). For 2 particular reasons: despite playing 2 games, I don't feel I'm into the nuts and bolts of the game yet, and both lynches didn't go through, for one reason or the other. And it seems to me that lynches, despite the downside of changing the ratio between the 2 groups in our disfavour if a Mutineer is not caught, are one of the best ways to actually prove or disprove suspicions. If anything because they offer a real comparison to the real situation and are not just us piling suspicion onto suspicion. Not to say it's useless doing that, but they do need validation eventually. Besides offering explanations for my behaviour, I can't say much that hasn't been said already.
  2. Messy sleep schedule and a very different time zone won't help me show up at consistent times, just so you know. The hook kind of confuses me, especially because of the suspicions it lays over both Kal and Jene. But it's probably disingenuous assuming that we can find any conclusions there before a lynch. Rethinking it, it might actually be possible both of them are Mutineers, but I don't know, the move feels sloppy. Also, seeing last game's play with Bela, I would be wary to not do the mutineers' game again. At this point I'm going to vote for Kal, as to prevent last night shenanigans. Getting back shortly, need a coffee. Edit: fixing up sleepspeak
  3. @Hreo: I'm sorry not changing my vote made me suspicious, but since the suspicion is born of me not changing the vote (something I said it might happen, I may add), I have no surefree way of dispelling it. The choice of voting for you was merely that of the 3 the had not voted at the time you were the 1st on Meta's player list. @Kai: I think that given that this game introduces significant motivation for voting despite not having significant evidence, should lead us to see voting "because of coins" just as not voting in other games. I'm actually much more inclined of suspecting those that don't vote, because having less coins offers maybe not huge, but significant advantage to whoever can coordinate behind the scenes. As such, in absence of more significant proof, I'm actually more inclined to suspect those that don't vote, before those that do. I'm not yet confident in going for a lynch though: Luka. Edit: Blue
  4. Assuming my count is correct: Jene (2): Mai, Kai Jain (2): Ratel, Riitiidiickiir Jeno (1): Riingar, Wyrm Riitiidiikiir (1): Jene, Kai Kal FangShi (1): Jain Aonar (1): Kal, Jeno Matim (1): Jatae Mai (0): Aonar Hreo, Matim and Luka haven't voted yet. I'm trying to avoid repeating my Game 6 wild and inconsequential imagination flights, beg forgiveness for my lack of participation to the discussion. That said, I think getting a coin is important, so just for that sake I would vote for myself, but I'm currently more interested in catching Hreo's attention. I hope I will be able to get online again before the next write-up to review my vote, to make a more pondered decision. I do like Kasimir's idea of denying a potential misadventure with a threshold vote, but I would like to avoid giving the Mutineers, or anyone else, a chance to act like lev did in Game 6. Seeing as the Grappling Hook won't be available til next cycle going for 2-2-2 seems unnecessary, and would provide choice where choice is the only thing we can't give up.
  5. Jatae signing up. (I wonder if and what Aon will end up being used more than once) Is bidding for items public?
  6. While I don't think you're a DF, I think you need to clarify a point: you can't both claim to have been saved by the Wisdom and claim not to be Fain. The fact you were saved by the Wisdom doesn't tell anything about you not being Fain. Would you mind expanding on this? I actually think Waes made a great first night target for the wisdom, he was the second most voted player for mayor, an experienced player, and he has successful in duping more than one game (I just read game 5, but I gather he's been among the bad in just about every game so far). So by law of large numbers he has to be a good guy eventually. (I grant we don't have a huge sample, yet) I have a feeling though, that DFs are going to prove being very genre-savvy this round. The expectations we have don't make a good starting point. In game 5 you had an extra motivation for killing as fast as possible, denying the victim and the team both the objects they owned. DFs also have a potential extra kill for night should they need it, and they can rely on it til the Forsaken dies. And I would assume they have a Wisdom available until it's proved otherwise (and carefully consider whether it's impossible they have a Channeler). It's unfortunate that Joe can't answer this, but throwing the Wounded Gazelle theory in the mix is a great move to muddle the waters, if it's performed maliciously, and besides setting up the discussion he didn't contribute much. I would like to hear him on this more. I'm also yearning to hear from Lev(Bela), and until him, Panda, New One and Alvron care to explain why 3 votes appeared in short succession defending the first, I'm voting for him. Two out of three that didn't vote on first day, no less! It's by no means definitive, but I'm not going to ignore the Dragon's Mark.
  7. Nath voted for Waes for Mayor, if I'm not mistaken. I'm also going to retract my vote for Khamsi.
  8. I honestly suspect much more whoever voted for them. Electing a Mayor seems like a good way to elicit (unnecessary) suspicion. Not to say they couldn't be Darkfriends, just the fact they got voted into it doesn't seems too much strong an indication, IMO. The people voting though, yes. especially the one who started the votes. But I also believe having a Mayor can reveal more information, so I voted for Wilson because she made sensible suggestions regarding Mayor handling. I do have one thing I'd point out, the Mayor actually should cast a vote, because if they ever are revealed a Darkfriend it could give some information, and I would strongly suspect any Mayor not willing to point a successor.
  9. Jae stepped in the Inn's hall holding a tray full of empty mugs. The murder had been stunning, and people were already pouring in to drown the unpleasant surprise in alcohol. A very uninteresting guy had just come in, Nath he was called, he thought. "I heard there's a guy running wild. He's accusing the first person he stumbles upon they're the killer. I think he's Seanchan. The empire must be no good for those fellas, if he's any example." he said, answering his call to bring him a drink. The patron seemed lost in thought though, so he went back to scrubbing the few rooms he still hadn't cleaned. So, we have two potential mayors with 2 votes each. Neither is going to vote for themselves, nor outwardly tries to wriggle out of it. Following Aonar reasoning I'm going to vote for Wilson for Mayor as well. I'm going to vote for Khamsi to hear for people that haven't posted yet.
  10. On this note, the main thing I suffered is the fact that lack of information was compounded: you didn't know who voted for whom, you didn't know the role of the dead, not even that of the lynched one, you didn't know the abilities that were around in the game. That made me feel as if voting was more of a game of chance than an exercise in my (I'll admit little) analytical abilities. I understand the game is based on this, but my feeling is that the more the game progresses the more information one should have, and it just didn't feel this way. The nightwatcher, while it was for sure a source of enjoyment, was difficult to gauge in scope. I think the main thing that should be changed is that some part of it should me made public. Especially any game changing mechanics, Rengar's faction change, f.e. Not the persons involved, but whatever shifts the game, or breaks the rules. Or maybe make the curse more explicit, and maybe add some kind of role seeking ability. The idea in general though is very sound, and it can lead to very interesting scenarios.
  11. Not sure if it'll do any good pointing this out, but the peculiar circular voting fashion of Dellan, Malai and Newan strikes me off as suspicious. They also are the only ones that voted (unless I totally missed something, possible). Both the fact that they made each others' vote as good as not voting, and the hurry of it, gives me a reason to vote for one at random among you. I'm holding off a bit regarding the mayor election. Edit: Corrections
  12. Yeah, I could literally whistle to the dead, I think at this point I can publicly link them. My curse was that I could only talk in italicized limericks, which sent me on a rampage of horrible poetry, mostly for the fun of it. You might have noticed I couldn't whistle either. Edit: I couldn't think of anyway to communicate besides more code. Well, Rubix said I could also post a video of me whistling, and I thought I could have stuck a message there, but it seems a bit too much like cheating.
  13. I was mostly hoping I could somehow dupe other factions to target me in place of others, but my total lack of subtlety completely undermined that. Losing a couple of cycles didn't help either. Well, lesson learned.
  14. Thank you all for the nice game. I was so played for a fool. I wish I could say I did wrap my head around it in the end, but it would be lies. Only positive thing I can say about me is that I was (briefly) "Khiriq, the ghost whistler". I probably should have done that sooner, if anything for the fun factor. And forgive my terrible attempt at whistling, whoever listened to that. I'm asking the more tactical inclined, did we get killed by our lack of communication?
  15. I do not think Trahar a menace to be And of revealing, he might only be free the deaths identities, this a vb may him make and communication, he can't even fake. I also say it's Sarmas 't should die, but we won't agree .
  16. Maybe, sending anonymous tweets that can be either public, or aimed at a specific target, i.e, a house, a handpicked group of players or a single one, the skaa. Maybe one random but specific power user. Edit: It would be too similar to the informant then. Err.
  17. I was waiting for the deadline. Just so I could come up and say: "Ehm, I think you forgot someone". I so wanted to be able to leverage Gamma psychologically.
  18. I don't know if it would work, just pitching a an idea off the top of my head: Rumor spreading - The House is well connected and has contacts among many of the other Houses underlings. Once per cycle they can send a short message that is publicly revealed in the write up (or maybe just to house lords?).
  19. He might be impeded on any form of communication. I'm really not sure on the vote. Darkeyes are really starting to look a bit too strong for my tastes.
  20. What makes you so sure that all of them have both their lives still? Also, maybe Jim Bob Dirt has a curse that stops him from posting here? He'd have been eliminated otherwise.
  21. I'm gonna sign up as well. I know very little about WoT though, just started the 1st book. Jae, the inn hall boy (Hoping Renegade will hire me). Jae dragged his feet to the door. He raised his hand in a fist, uncertain whether what he was doing was going to prove fruitless again. He had been refused quite a few times, and the ones he hadn't, he was chased away. He finally knocked at the inn's backdoor, shuffling uncomfortably. Whoever opened would have seen a scrawny boy, black hair, dressed in worn linen clothes. And with gestures, they would have been asked for a job.
