I totally agree with you, I'm just saying he could of based it off of the illness and it was a good suggestion by Kythis. You just basically said no, obviously having the illness you would know a hell of a lot more about it but doesn't mean its not related.

Now I’m not ruling out any supernatural possibilities for his obvious lack of emotion. However, let’s look at it this way. Imagine going around with nothing on your mind except finding and “murdering” surge-binders to stop a desolation from returning, whether or not you could somehow justify that in some kind of weird saving the planet nonsense. You would eventually die inside. Also, after fighting and dieing against however many desolations originally, just to accept you couldn’t or can’t do it anymore and then abandon your oaths. Nale would have to be screwed up. In my opinion anyways

Hello 17th Shard, I have been reading these forums for a couple months now and just decided I'm going to start adding into these conversations! I actually tried to go back to Goodkind after several years of being done with his work and it was sadly disappointing. Sword of truth was the series that peaked my interest in "epic" fantasy originally and I loved it, however, while I was going through the first book recently, I had to put it down and just say wowwwwwwww. Let's read WoR again instead... I find everything else feels so flat or 2 dimensional in comparison to Sanderson or Roth, I mean watching for easter eggs is probably half the fun for me while rereading Sanderson's work.
