  1. Tally-ho. I'll post a bio for Karma tonight if all goes according to plan. (And I'll try to get that promised Vanilla Sabotage response up as well.) On a gameplay front, I would support Intervention being able to affect Epics. Especially since Thoughttown may soon be under siege from vast quantities of powerful Epics, and a way to neutralize them would be very effective in terms of game balancing. On the other hand, a gifter who gifts intoxication is hilarious.
  2. Right then. So, here are details that have been bandied about for a while. I do not believe anything at all is set in stone yet, though. Counter-proposals or additions to the idea are welcome. If the Möbius plan is accepted, I would humbly request the honor of writing the first post, as she and Karma are my characters and their actions set the stage for all things to come.
  3. Oh yes. I like Intervention as a character. Why do his powers only work on vanillas, though? I was looking forward to seeing what a Funtimes who's literally drunk with power would do. Sure thing. I'll get on that. A Question 1 ½ thread? I guess we could, if TwiLyght would rather we didn't use this one for all our Epic RP needs.
  4. Fair enough... but you can only understand the written word from now on. You can no longer understand voices. I wish for a curse.
  5. Thanks. Now I just wait and see what suggestions my client has. (For some reason I love that word. Client. Cli-ent. It's a fun word.) I to0 abhor that trope, so I'm glad to hear it will be subverted here. One final note: since Sam and Revolution will be following Lightwards around for a while to record different orders, I'm thinking of minimizing Lightwards' viewpoint scenes through the month of October. Not only will I have my hands full with Calamityville, I'm not sure how I feel about writing POVs from Slaughterhouse, insane!Möbius, and Lightwards all at the same time. Sam and Revolution are way more fun to write. Thoughts?
  6. You will wield it, but Odium powers Hemalurgy through you and uses you a void-puppet for his eldritch schemes. Can I have a ham sandwich?
  7. It'll be cool to see those guys in action. Max pony? I definitely didn't forget about that. I definitely did not rush straight to the pony creator to assemble a Mark I model the moment I saw that sentence. Nope. Definitely did it a long time ago. Open for critique. I love him. Maybe he could be called "Grovel" or "Darkest Hour"?
  8. I like that. I like that a lot. With the amount of time, effort, and soul Altermind's put into Portland, it would feel very strange for him to outlive his home city.
  9. But we're having too much fun to stop at Portland! Voidus has a whole load of NPC Epics up for adoption. One of my personal favorites is "Intervention," who can cause people to become instantly intoxicated. I've imagined him as a super-assassin, so that could be a cool character for Thoughttown to have. Maybe Altermind should also die in Portland, to bring his story full circle?
  10. Well, Megan said that Oregon had been destroyed, not just Portland and other major cities. That seems to imply that the destruction spread across the entire state. Um... yes, sort of? You'll see more of them soon. Hmm. Not sure how to remedy this, not immediately at any rate. They are the only faction with running public services and the most vanilla recruits, which helps cement them as key players. Maybe we could make more cannon fodder Epics to work for Thoughttown?
  11. Half of Phineas and Ferb's inventions seem like things Funtimes might make. And most of Doofenshmirtz'es seem like things twentydeaths!Lightwards would commission. Things could always come full circle: Nathan angers Funtimes so much, she turns her more sinister side to him and ties him to a table in a dark room. (He could be rescued before the impending cycle of horrors breached forum regulations. )
  12. You're right, that does fit. Including the random Mongols bursting in at the end, strangely enough. "One Good Scare" for the Halloween RP, and "Chains on Me" for pretty much every Warrior of Light.
  13. Granted, but you no longer have a sense of taste. I wish for the ability to summon real Pokémon to do my bidding.
  14. I've thought it would be kind of cool if Jake Subbly, the student who killed Lightwards the first time, joined the Reckoners some day. I think him winding up in Oregon by coincidence might be a tad on the unbelievable side though. Random thoughts: a former military man, a crab fisherman, and a former pizza deliveryman. Darn. We'll have to kidnap one of CM's vanilla soldiers.
  15. What kind of information? Or shall we take this into the nearest dark alley PMs?
  16. How about a deal? I PM you the details, and in exchange Cricket gets to kick Nighthound across the Museum. Also, someone borrowed my computer and saw the bird puns on the previous page. I got a glare and a groan to end all glares and groans.
  17. This can be Lightwards and Lucentia's song.
  18. Most of the gameplay has taken place in Portland so far. Once we've moved beyond Portland, I'd actually like to explore Astoria more. And my sleep-deprived brain forgot that not everyone knew about Calamity's Roses. They aren't in the faction wars, so don't worry. Phineas and Ferb songs have the remarkable ability to describe all of our madness. Now we just need to make this gem canon, somehow... Not even Claudius would touch Nighthound's corpse. Even under direct orders, I'm pretty sure he'd break free of Lightwards' control long enough to disobey.
  19. Don't forget Black Fist and Joe's Reckoners cell. There's also Calamity's Roses, but we've only met one member so far. That song is perfect for the Empire of Light in so many ways. He deserves to be baked into a giant pie and fed to the dinosaurs piece by piece, but I suppose that ending will do.
  20. I now desperately want to write a DW fanfiction with Sam and Revolution as companions. Posted a brief Aldo scene. I'm a little scraped for time, so I'll have to write Vanilla Sabotage's reaction later. (I'm still not entirely sure what to have them say, so that makes it easier to put it off. )
  21. "To the flying museum of dinosaurs!" Phoenix proclaimed. And so the streets of Portland were graced with seven Epics, striding alongside one another across the grey asphalt. The day was young and the population was terrified, so they saw very few vanillas. Those few that were out on the streets invariably ducked back into their houses upon seeing the procession. I should talk to Lightwards about getting some shows and parades in this town, Aldo mused in his head. Suddenly, there was an explosion. Not nearby, but close. At Aldo's prompting, the seven Epics briefly detoured down a side street, where they found another trio engaged in conversation. The first Epic to catch his attention was a woman in a tie-dyed shirt, standing directly in front of smoldering ruins. A few bits and pieces of roasted rats were strewn about around the street. The other two were polar opposites, but stood close together as if they were allies. One was an old and stern-looking man, dressed in a crisp suit and a top hat. Beside him was a grinning child in a grey hoodie. Aldo was trying to figure out their powers when Backtrack nudged him. "The kid and the geezer are looking for Lightwards," Backtrack whispered. "The other one likes blowing stuff up." Aldo nodded, casting a smile at his new ally. "Good work, Backtrack," he encouraged. "I'll take it from here." He took a few steps towards the group and caught their attention. "Tally-ho," he proclaimed. "Looking for Lightwards, are we? You're in luck. The Empire of Light exists all around you, and we were just heading to meet with the Emperor. You're welcome to accompany us." He tipped his top hat towards the old man. "And if you don't mind me saying, that's a very nice hat."
  22. Sam's first POV sentence is : "Samantha Trattner felt like she'd traveled back in time, and she wasn't happy about it." Can we use this as justification for giving her a time machine before the RP's conclusion?
  23. Granted, but from here on out you will constantly feel like you need to sneeze. I want the ability to retrieve Brandon Sanderson books from the future.
  24. We are so good at this. Like, whoah.
