  1. Science fiction! I can't tell you how much Heinlein, Clarke, Asimov, White, Crichton, Card, and Wells I've devoured over the years. Science fiction--especially what science fiction deals with alien races and their psychologies--is the genre that inspires my deepest thoughts and most broadens my perception of the universe. While they all have merit, there's nothing quite like the transformation of scientific fact into literary art of the highest order.
  2. I stand by my insanity of choice.
  3. But what if it's a statistical graph showing the average Portlander's likelihood to be within a hundred miles of a naked Nighthound as a function of time?
  4. Can Graph Man be an Epic now? With the unique and useless ability to force people to look at the graphs he makes?
  5. You've probably seen it before, but "Children of the Night" is also incredimazible. Thanks for the music links!
  6. Considering she's the Element of Generosity, she'd kind of have to be. Just for fun: Sorry. I needed to get that out of my system.
  7. Wait. Loud and prone to complaining... sharply critical of Lightwards... associated with diamonds... Where was I going with this? (I will say that having listened to the mildly traumatizing song "Pegasus Device," I'm cracked up by the idea of a rewrite about Lightwards singing about how awesome his hat is. )
  8. "I am sick of living in mild disgust! I am tired of hearing of the eyes that are burned by that 'fashion'! He has hidden himself in the sky, using us as food for that hideous piece of attire! It is our time to rise up and destroy that cold joyous leprechaun. Fillies and gentlecolts, I pray you will join me when I say: down with Lightwards' bowler hat!"
  9. None of us are. On a random but less silly note, in another exciting episode of "Kobold King Sees WHIO References Literally Everywhere"... BronyDanceParty, the animator of "September" and "Nightmare Night," released a teaser for his upcoming work. (The teaser isn't gory, but the video itself will be a sequel to one of his more infamous works that do contain gore, so be careful around his channel.) Anyway, though the words don't quite match, I can't help but watch the teaser imagining the people of Portland rising up and attacking the MoNA. You'll see why.
  10. I... I have no idea what I just watched. But considering I spend my own time watching stuff like this, I suppose I can't complain about a video's reckless insanity.
  11. Everyone else is thinking about the myriad theorizing implications this holds... and I'm just sitting here imagining the Lord Ruler shouting at a teen girl in a miniskirt, declaring "NO DAUGHTER OF THE SLIVER OF INFINITY IS GOING OUT WEARING THAT."
  12. What TwiLyght said. Also, she carries tiny grenades in her top.
  13. Yep, I'm good. There have been a few tornado warnings in the neighboring counties, some parts of my farm are resembling an open marsh more than an arid scrubland, and the mosquitoes are swarming like Voidbringers outside... but I'm perfectly fine, myself. My biggest concern has been that I might lose Internet for a few days.
  14. It's... it's... It's beautiful.
  15. After going several years without reading Elantris: A skeptical new Sharder's reaction to the Dark Alley: A naive new Sharder's reaction to the Dark Alley: And now two more instances of the Reckoners RPG's insanity escaping the box you tried to put it in.
  16. Ah... so, mind if I wish you a not-altogether-intolerable trip? Or wish that you manage to get some unexpected enjoyment out of it?
  17. I don't mind. (And have fun on your trip. )
  18. This is exactly why we need a "What Happened Before Calamity" thread, for random flashbacks into the lives of our characters before Calamity came along and screwed things up. Anyone else with me?
  19. I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that pre-Calamity Michael Jager was basically Fluttershy.
  20. And if she did that, Vondra would initiate Operation Assassinate Shiny Sparkle. Which might involve using Autumn as unwitting bait.
  21. He'd have been disgruntled about the restriction of his free time... which would mean he'd vent out his frustrations by being an enormous slontze to her.
  22. I've been pronouncing it KOES-chee or KOS-chee, at various times. Or just "That guy with the circlet," which is equally as descriptive.
  23. But where could I even find the blood of a virgin in this economy... ...I mean, uh, yeah, it gets pretty ridiculous.
  24. Mistborn spoilers:
