So it occurred to me that it's been a while since I've done a pony comic. Even longer since I've done a pony comic based around a song. I like the general idea, but a few thoughts: Megan's powers didn't increase because she faced her fears. Earlier in the novel she mentions that her powers are always more god-like just after she's reincarnated. Similarly, we have no reason to believe that Conflux's power level has increased at any point in his Epic life time. It's equally possible that he's simply an exceptionally powerful Epic in his own right, like Steelheart or Obliteration. The argument that Epics who have faced their fears can be gifted powers doesn't really hold water for me. It's true that we don't know as a fact that they can't, but the same can be said for Epics who brush their teeth four times a day or know all the lyrics to "Yankee Doodle." So while these things could be true, and while Calamity may very well prove them, I personally don't think they hold up to analytical scrutiny at the moment. Of course, we'll have to wait till the third book to actually find out for sure.

That concept does sound fascinating... and it'll be another year until we see it in canon? I'm as excited as anybody, but there is a lot to be said for the freedom to let our headcanons run wild...

This is the point at which I feel your logic doesn't quite add up. Admin powers, to the best of my knowledge, are added responsibilities rather than privileges. The ability to lock threads, ban users, or read people's private messages wouldn't make forum usage any more "efficient" for him; they would only make his account more conspicuous and likely to be discovered, as you are attempting to do. If Brandon Sanderson has an alt account here, I'd wager he's one of the dozens of lurkers who appear once a blue moon, make a brilliant and well-articulated point on some foggy corner of the forum, and then disappear into the gloom once more. I'd put money on the guess that Brandon's alt account, if it exists, doesn't even have over 20 rep points. -
Yeah, I could almost count all the characters who haven't murdered anyone on one hand. Just a reminder to everyone: Brandon Sanderson is still answering AMA questions. There's still time to sneak a few questions from the FUNTIMES list in. (I asked how many years after Calamity was Oregon destroyed, but I haven't gotten an answer back yet.)

Yeah, in a lot of ways Shiny Sparkle's more of a sugar-coated and gender-flipped version of Deathwish. They'd do well for each other, both being sleazily shallow people and all. Backtrack: Autumn Glass is great! She's the only person in this town who was nice to me! Deathwish: Autumn Glass? She's pretty hot. She'd look a lot better in shorts and a crop top though. What a prude, amirite? Backtrack 2, Deathwish 0 in the moral department.
