Do you see the arrow buttons beside posts, including this one? The green one is an upvote, the red one is a downvote. If you click the upvote, my post will gain a green "1" beside it, and my reputation (which you can see on the left, underneath my profile pic and post count) will go up by one. Similarly, the downvote would make my reputation go down by one. In general, you click the upvote when you find the content pleasing or helpful, and the downvote when you don't. Those are invitations to join guilds. They don't actually matter much; the guilds are just threads where members hang out, joke, and occasionally do some good-natured trash talking of other guilds. It's just a fun little tidbit to the 17th Shard social scene. Welcome to the forum! I hope you spend plenty of time here and start experiencing these things for yourself. Here's an upvote to start you off.

If she did, I'd actually read Buzzfeed. (Thanks, Twi. You're incredimazible. ) -
Having a Bad Day? Stop here for a Good Rant!
Kobold King replied to traceria's topic in General Discussion
I've spent all day trying to write an RP post. This goal has been greatly complicated by the fact that it's so sweltering hot my brain's turned to mush, I've been constantly interrupted every time I've finally managed to get my mind on the task, and every couple of minutes I get bitten by streams of fire ants and have to write through a veil of tears. Oh, and on top of that, my work looks like Ernest Hemingway's insecure younger brother got drunk and started writing about my character on a bar room napkin. -
Voidus, have you talked about this 11 year-old character before on here? I can't remember her.

Yes, I think so. Sorry, I think I misunderstood your post the first time. There's no issue. Preview from the next Lightwards post: It's not my fault I like a little alliteration in my literature.

The reports of my demise were greatly exaggerated.

You could milk an entire franchise out of this. Mollie™ brand foods, Mollie™ brand frozen TV dinners, Mollie™ brand restaurant chains, Mollie™ brand collectibles, Mollie™ plushies, a Mollie™ movie where she joins a pro basketball team and saves Christmas... the opportunities are unlimited!
-
Mollie™ brand chicken nuggets, anyone?

Has anyone tried to pay you and the pugs to endorse their products? If you get popular enough that could be a nice source of income for you.
-
Ah. Just finished Doomsday, eh? And the worst part is, you haven't even seen the worst yet.
-
Ah, that makes sense. I'll write the next post with the assumption that's what's happening.

That is a bit confusing... Winter, how would you feel about Lightwards resurrecting and ordering a dinosaur to eat that guy? Just to fully explain the dinosaur's presence. In other news, Sam's mostly happy with the new dress plans.

You should have thought of that before you posted the cute manga pictures! There's no turning back now! Alright, I'm a little confused about the last Red post... where did the dinosaur come from? I didn't think there were any on the diamond platform at the moment. Winter, did you have a specific dinosaur in mind? Am I missing something obvious?

That's what I'd prefer too. Though the thought of Timeport joining Obliteration's unsanctioned fan club is a bit too terrifying to pass up. We hope so. Nathan could be checking to see if everyone's ready to teleport to the Museum, but peaking into Sam's room reveals her sitting on a chair in her bathrobe. His first impulse is to duck back out and let her change, but there's something about her face as she stares at the frilly dress laid out on her bed... something on her face that says "I hate my life right now." But yeah, that definitely seems like a good plan.

Would there be a real possibility of Funtimes getting angry, or would that kind of concern only be in Sam's head?

Right. So he'll scowl at Lucentia because his pterodactyl stunt was completely unnecessary, he'll scowl at Ray as he walks by for no real reason at all, then he'll abuse the Unicyclist briefly before going to bed. Crazy idea... what if Obliteration inspired a cult of destructive Epics claiming to act in his name? That way he could appear to cause destruction, and his influence would be felt, but there'd still be a lot of inter-player combat. I had a vague idea of Funtimes doing some "house work" while the vanillas are asleep, letting them know next morning that she'd made new sets of clothes for them. Sam could come out of the shower, check her wardrobe, and then come storming out in a pink fluffy bathrobe to protest the frilly creation she's expected to wear.

Cool. Should Sam and Revolution approach Funtimes asking for clothes after showers the next morning, or should it be Funtimes' idea? Still better than The Phantom Menace. I like her! Her PI's a bit similar to Nighthound's, but that's hardly a problem considering how cool it is. I'll try to get Lightwards up later today. Is there a simple diamond staircase he could ascend back to the jungle part of the Museum, and if not, could I include Lucentia making one for him? If it's necessary, that would definitely be a good way to shake things up. Personally though, I think a better way would be to have Oblieration arrive, start destroying towns and parts of cities, and then have people like Lucentia, Soulcaster, Rainmaker, and maybe even the City Guard forced to collaborate with one another while secretly backstabbing one another. Far more deliciously chaotic.

I like the bohemian style, especially that last one. What special touches would Funtimes be likely to add--more sparkles and sequins? I'm picturing an enormous statue, like in the Batman vs Superman trailer, emblazoned with the words "WAIFU STEALER" in red spraypaint.

I just want you to know that each of those kobold guards had lives and families. Igir, the one with the spear? He was the only one who watered the cave-shrooms back in our planning room. Nevith, the one with the slingshot? His daughter was waiting on him to patch up her stuffed unicorn. You're the real monster. And how did humans come to dominate the land, in a world full of dragons and giants? Size and strength matter not; resourcefulness is all that matters.

So if Sam's getting new clothes, should Revolution get any too? Anyone know much about hippie fashion?

Peaceful existence my baby dragon leather boots! The village of Ommlet is a military installation, equipped with enchantments of mass destruction capable of decimating the kobold border in seconds. My brave kobold infantrymen have been giving their lives in the defense of their country, fighting a grueling battle for weeks to defeat these overly masculine invaders. What you see here is nothing but propaganda spread to discredit these courageous soldiers. For shame, spreading such lies!

Mine too. They have a whole channel full of these, if you're interested. Just listened to "Google Translate Sings Let it Go" a minute ago.

Awesome! Remember how we proved Google Translate unreliable at the beginning of this thread, but it sullenly refused to be hilarious for us? Well, I just found "Google Translate Sings" songs.
