I'm almost positive that you are right about Hoid switching it out for a regular Shardblade. I read through the Epilogue of tWoK last night and Taln's Honorblade is described as being long, narrow and like a spike. However, the blade that Dalinar summons in the confrontation with Amaram is described as being wider than most and "cleaver-like." We know that Wit's been collecting powers from the Cosmere, so I think it's safe to say that he was in Kholinar that night to get himself an Honorblade.

I'm a long time Brandon Sanderson fan who is just finally getting around to joining this awesome site. I've perused topics here for a couple years, but after the excitement of finishing WoR I decided that I should get involved with the discussion a little more. I have no forum experience at all, but you all seem nice enough to put up with newbies. I'm mostly interested in Cosmere theories and Brandon's genius in connecting all of his great books, but I love everything he's written and it's always nice to learn something new about his older stuff.

I like this idea. It makes me wonder if you could makes a 'shardblade' out of Lerasium or Atium. I'm really interested to see how Nightblood functions compared to shardblade's on Roshar too. I wonder if being a piece of a shard other than Honor means there will inherently be different powers/costs.
