So Odium was trapped on Braize by Honor somehow. I think that Honor manipulated Odium into breaking a contract. The question then becomes what the contract is. I wonder if Honor manipulates Odium into realizing that he did not have correct justification for killing other shards. He used the reasoning of their not involvement with each other pact to initially justify his killing of devotion and dominion. Then he kills Ambition for unknown reasons. If someone was basically able to convince him that he did not have the right to kill those shards, Odium's power would be greatly weakened in that moment. It would also explain why he is so loosely connected to the shard in RoW. He has already broken an oath, and suffered the consequences for it. It would also explain why he basically complains to Dalinar about the whole oath system. R-Odium just wants to do what he wants with no possible repercussions.

The contract could have been something along the lines of "we can fight if it is an honorable duel and if you have acted honorable in the past". Then Honor points out that Odium does not have the right to kill any shard ever, and Odium instantly losses. Odium would agree because he does know that Honor knows about the death of the other shards, and Honor would be the unique place to define what is honorable. It would be very hard to argue what honorable is to the literal god of Honor.

All Honor would have to do for this would be to convince the Odium that he should not have involved himself or that he didn't have the right to kill them after Odium tries to claim that he has acted "honorably". Odium is placed under Honor's power, and Honor seals him to Braize. I guess that he would still be able to influence the world around him, and mabye the singers are especially vulnerable to the influence of shards. He may have also worked to corrupt things, and started manipulating from afar.

The theory kinda falls apart after you start thinking about Odium's influence while trapped, but I still think that Honor could have easily trapped Odium by pointing out that Odium is not acting "honorably". Honor would be a unique situation to do this, and Odium may not have expected it since he is very arrogant.
