Question

I was contemplating the applications of awakening when I thought "hey, what if you awaken a koloss? Not one of the baggy little ones, like, one of the BIG ones."

Thoughts anyone?

( P.S. Would their hemalurgic spikes still work, and if so, how much extra investiture would it take to overcome the resistance?)

An interesting question!

We haven't had any indications that their bodies revert if the spikes are removed from their corpses so it seems plausible at the very least to make them. Not sure about the effects of keeping the Spikes in though.

the spikes would interfere with the awakening process, since investiture interferes with other investiture, but probably not enough to stop it completely.

Hmm... maybe they wouldn't be Awakened with a single Breath like other Lifeless, as they'd be a bit more Invested due to Hemalurgy. The Mistwraiths' lack of intelligence comes from some kind of Cognitive blockage, it's possible that the same goes for Koloss, so they might not be as good at understanding complex commands as human Lifeless, but that shouldn't be too big a problem as long as their Awakening Command is good enough, the Five Scholars' Ichor-alcohol + single Breath Command should be good though.
