Hello all (or more realistically the very small percentage that will read this). I picked up Final Empire a bit over a month ago and have now gone through all of the Cosmere (except White Sands). Joining the forums to read and occasionally participate in the discussion of these books that I’ve come to love seemed like the logical next step. So yeah, I exist. Valete

Hello there, and welcome to the chaos Shard!

You fool. I am the small percentage that read this. But in all seriousness, I'm impressed that you've read just about the whole Cosmere in a little over a month!

On the topic of the Cosmere, who would you say your favorite Cosmere character is?

Kaladin is probably my favorite character in general, although in Oathbringer I did like Dalinar more. My favorite non-Rosharan is Sazed.

Mmmm, Kaladin is a fan-favorite, from what I gather, lol. I love Dalinar and Sazed, too. Tbh, they're all amazing in their own unique ways.

Is there a reason you haven't read White Sands yet? Just curious!

The library system didn’t have the graphic novel, and I haven’t really heard anything good about the prose version.

Indeed. The characterization style is very different when compared to characterization in classical sci-if and fantasy from the likes of Tolkien and Herbert. Making that transition into a more modern style had been interesting for me.

Have you heard of Hoopla? It's an app that allows you to borrow books and audio books from the library. They have dramatized versions of White Sands that are pretty great!

Yeah, I can relate to that. The reason I got into Sanderson was because he was different from any of the other mainstream authors, and he mostly broke through the cliché and made something new.

Also, side note: Please refrain from double-posting. It's generally frowned upon here in the Shard. Saying it now if you do it in other forums.

I use primarily use Libby for ebooks/audiobooks from the library. White Sands isn’t in the state online catalog.

Welcome to the Shard, Hyrdrogen! A month is very impressive to read the entire cosmere.
