xinoehp512 he/him Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Pheonix took in the girl with a bloody hatchet and strange expression. "Hello!" he said, extending a hand. "My name is Pheonix! What is your name?" 1
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Quote He’s so cute it hurts, I love this man. Shadow looked at the man with disgust. “Eww, get away from me!” She shoved him aside and continued moving. ”STOP!” Star demanded. She raised her hand and chains wrapped around her adversary. “You took everything from me. And you will PAY for it!!” A sword coalesced in her hand and she stride forward, grabbing Shadow by the collar.
Random Bystander she/her Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Valve was looking for her screwdriver when the screwdriver in question fell out of her overall's pocket. She stared at it for a moment, and then her face reddened. "Oh. Well then." She picked it up, went back to the garage, and continued tinkering with her latest project. It was a car engine she was building from scratch.
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 By now, Star and Shadow had drawn a sizable amount of stares. It was highly unusual for Narrators to display such extreme emotion, particularly towards each other. Watching characters tear themselves apart was fun, but two beings of such power? That was sure to be interesting indeed. "Oh yeah, well, what are you gonna do?" said Shadow flatly. "I'm a Narrator like you, princess, you can't touch me." She faded to mist in Star's fingers to prove her point, reappearing with her arms folded a few feet away from the taller woman, an evil smirk on her pale face. "Besides. Even if you could kill me, it wouldn't bwing bawck your wittle Mavwick, now would it, Star?" Star's face grew red with anger, her nails digging into her palms. "You're a monster, Shadow. You've never cared about anyone your entire life and that's why no one cares about you. And no one ever will." Star got a scoff in response, but she knew she'd gotten to her nemesis. "Death is far too good for the likes of you. Stay alive and be lonely; you do more harm to yourself than I could ever do on my own." "Just because your own loneliness makes you feel like you're in hell doesn't mean it's the same way for me.Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a bottle that needs me." Shadow's shattered bottle of vodka reformed with a snap, the glass reforming and the liquid running out of the floor as if it had never been there to begin with. After that, she disappeared. Star let out a heavy sigh. "Good riddance..." She turned towards the poor boy who'd been pushed. "Are you alright?" she asked, moving to help him up.
Goob he/him Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) Hmmm. Spade stands in front of a workshop, frowning. Something was very, very wrong. He had sensed a Narrator here, but there seemed to be no evidence. No signs of tampering, of kingdoms of stories such as his. At first, when he got close enough to tell which character-ruled nation they were in, he had just assumed they had made her realm much smaller. That was respectable, after all- getting more intimate with your story and it's ups and downs made sense, even if it wasn't to his taste. But then Spade got closer, and closer, and there was not a whisper of anything odd or isolated. Perhaps they had clouded the minds of these nearby characters? But then he reached the city, and then he started to worry. There wasn't a whisper of narration here. Not even the fools in the Hall of Words had their eyes drawn to this place in a long time. Had their meddling interfered with his ability to sense Narrators and Narration? It would be disastrous if they did, but there was no evidence of that- he could still sense his own Narration back in his kingdom along with whispers of other Narrators all across the land. But if it still worked- what was this single Narrator doing here, seemingly uninterested in the world around them. And so he stood, in front of this workshop for characters who build and repair cars. The front door was locked, but even with his massively reduced power a simple lock meant nothing to stop him. The lock broke open at Spade's touch. Narrated Spade, tapping the keyhole. The lock collapsed into it's component mechanisms and crumpled to the ground with a symphony of pings and tinkling metal. He slammed open the door and stepped in. @Random Bystander Edited March 27, 2021 by AmazingGoob 1

Pheonix."
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Oh, joy, Star thought flatly. She was not in the mood to deal with some happy-go-lucky newborn. "Welcome to the Hall, Phoenix." Though Star tried to say it with as much genuinity as she could muster, it still ended up sounding flat and sarcastic. Quote And thus was born True Love. Also, yes, I spelled Pheo's name wrong; Star thought he misspoke.
Channelknight Fadran Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) Quote Here's my character! Spoiler Name: Selil Species: Narrator Appearance: 6'0", dark brown hair, vibrant red eyes. He wears dark robes on top of black chain mail. Strengths: Capable of producing multiple ignitises and pretty dang good at destroying planets. He's single-handedly fought and won wars, adding it all to his dominion. Weaknesses: He's incredibly overconfident in his own ability and has a super tragic backstory that brings him pain to remember. Y'know; the norm. Personality: Again, incredibly overconfident. He's also really good at monologuing, letting off bouts of evil cackling, and steepling his fingers. Basically the most conventionally evil guy you could think of. Authorial Gifts: Teleportation and the ability to summon spiraly dark storm clouds on a whim Edited March 28, 2021 by Channelknight Fadran

"What the... Who are you?" She said, completely confused. "And why are you here? Oh, wait. Do you have a machine that needs fixing?" She wiped her hands, which were oily, on her overalls, and started walking over to the guy. Something seems... Off about him. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is definitely something different about him. Eh, I'll worry about that later.

All his senses told him this was a Narrator but it appeared to be just some character mechanic! Was she pretending? If he found out she wasn't a Narrator, he could just kill her... xinoehp512 he/him Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 (edited) In... out. In... out. In.... out. The waves beat relentlessly on the beach, back and forth, up and down, in and out. Just as they have for eons. A cough. And then another. A man crawls onto the sand, spitting up water as he does so. His clothes are finely wrought, but tattered, and his hair is bedraggled by salt. Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 28, 2021 Author Posted March 28, 2021 (edited) Shadow hurled her hatchet into the ground with a thump of blade into earth, taking a large swig of her vodka and plopping down on a throne made of bones and shadow. She'd made this little pocket of reality for herself ages ago. It was nice enough, as far as lairs went. Gloomy, full of mist and discarded glass bottles. She should really get rid of those sometime... But not today. Today was a good day to sit down, be drunk, and do nothing. You hate her, don't you, little one? Ah, the voice. It was back. Shadow grunted. "I hate everything," she responded. "Star's not special for being one name on that long list." Ah, but you hate her more than everyone else. Why is that? "Why do you care? You're in my head, aren't you? Well, just read my thoughts and shut the hell up. We both know I don't listen to you anymore anyway." Shadow downed the rest of her bottle, summoning another one, this one with wine in it. As she moved to drink again, some of it ran red like blood down her cheeks. But you do listen to Star. What she said got to you. You are lonely, my pet. She scoffed. "Oh, shut it, will you?" And you're not just lonely. You're jealous. That's why you killed Star's lover. Because you believe she should be as miserable as you are. "I asked you to shut up." But you don't have to be lonely, dearest. Shadow stood up, her face red. "Get out of my head, damn you." You're one of us, Heather. A screech erupted from Shadow's throat and she summoned her hatchet to her hand. "Don't call me that!!!" she demanded. "Get OUT! Out of my head, you vile little-" Shadow cut off suddenly, a sharp pain exploding in her forehead. Instinctively, she brought her hand to her head, dropping to the ground in a ball. We made a deal. Its voice was louder now. All-consuming. Your soul belongs to me. Shadow whimpered. Something had cut her. Your power comes from me. It was shards of glass from that a bottle she'd landed on. Why couldn't she heal herself? Without me, you are nothing. Mortal. How would you like to go back to being powerless? "No... Never... go back..." Shadow blinked tears of strain from her eyes. I thought so. Please remember that. You might be lonely now, but if I left you, there would be nothing stopping Star from ripping you apart. "I know. P-please..." There's my good girl. Enjoy your wine. With that, it released her. Edited March 28, 2021 by Shard of Thought
