Delightful Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 I suddenly remembered there was like one line when Teft returned from the Horneater Peaks saying that Kaladin wasnt going to see Rock again. Are we meant to assume that hes dead?!
Flyingbooks Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 I think that we're meant to believe that mistakenly, but my theory is that he's alive. I don't think that such a major character would be killed offscreen (or off-main-series, when the Rock novella is made.) I can think of two potential alternatives at the moment, though there are probably more: 1. He's become a Nuatoma or the king, so he'd have to stay at the peaks and rule 2. He needs to go on a worldhopping adventure that will take a long time (and he'll possibly return in era 2)
