Since Lift was granted the request by Cultivation, what is she now becoming? And if it isn't Stormlight she's using, what light is she using?? I'm wondering if she is becoming perhaps a vessel for Cultivation? And if thats the case, then would that mean Dalinar is a vessel for Honor? Sorry, kinda turned into more than 1 question, lol. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. BTW, I am absolutely living this book thus far. 1
Dracnor he/him Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 What Light : will be answered before the end of RoW. This book deals with the different Lights and what they are. What's her future, or Cultivation plans for her : many theories, no conclusive proof. Dalinar's future : same as Lift's future. However, since Honor is Splintered, becoming Honor vessel seems compromised. 1
Leuthie Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I don't think it's a spoiler because you have all of the information you need: Stormlight is Honor's Investiture. Lift was changed by Cultivation and doesn't use Stormlight, so she must use <blank>'s Investiture/Light. As for what Lift is becoming? She'll be a viewpoint character in the back 5, so it may be almost a decade (3 years till book 5, 5+ more years years till book 6) before we find out.

Jondesu he/him Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 I think Lift was granted the ability to never lose her childlike innocence (yeah right). Seriously, though, she still sees the world like a child, though, with a fairly simplistic view of right and wrong overall. That may be a significant boon when others get caught up in terrible choices. She doesn’t even hesitate when confronted with the difficult choice: she does the right thing.
