I made a "favorite character" survey

And my real answers;

 

1) would like to be friends with most: Hoid. He is so funny and knowledgeable and a great storyteller.

 

2) feel is most believable in terms of motivation: Kaladin. I can fully understand his motivations and agree a lot.

 

3) enjoy reading about most: Kaladin. İf you don't understand he is my favourite.

4) find most confusing/intriguing: Kaladin. The parts that I had enjoy the most are his because I find him intriguing.

 

5) find makes you laugh the most: The Lopen

 

6) would like to punch in the face: Shallan and Hoid. I think they need this.

 

7) personally relate to most: Shallan 

 

8) feel is emotionally most realistic: Adolin.

 

9) shamelessly crush on the hardest: Kaladin.

 

10) is most like someone you know IRL: Jasnah

 

As you can see, I wasn't exaggerating when I wrote Kaladin everywhere.

• Adolin. Dude's just so easy to get along with, an all around great guy, and a master of like every form of combat. I can see myself getting along with him really well.

2)      feel is most believable in terms of motivation

• This is tough because there's so much to chose from (the Sandman's too good for his own good, ya know?). But I'd go with Navani, personally. The duality of her genius and self detriment is just so well written and everything she does makes sense.

3)      enjoy reading about most

• Dalinar. Easy. Dalinar is my favorite character in all of the Cosmere. This is why Oathbringer is my favorite Stormlight book, which is apparently an unpopular opinion(?). Second favorite: Teft. Or Adolin. 

4)      find most confusing/intriguing

• Ati. I mean the "answer" here is Hoid, because the answer is always Hoid. But when the letter mentions that Ati was such a good guy before taking up Ruin, I started thinking. And his behavior was so kind and paternal (besides, y'know, the murdering and Ruining and such) that it just made for great contrast. Besides, could Ruin take on Odium? Probably, right? Dude's just all around cool. And yes, he is only mentioned like twice as himself and not his Shard.

5)      find makes you laugh the most

• The Lopen. It's Lopen. No doubt.
• Wait I remembered Wayne exists it's definitely Wayne
• But Rock is so good too
• And Lift is just hilarious

6)      would like to punch in the face

• Well Sadeas is dead now isn't he, so no good in punching him in the face. Actually, you know who else is dead that I'd also like to punch? Leras. Yeah, Leras for sure.

7)      personally relate to most

• Axies the collector. If I was in these worlds there's no way on earth that I would be in the world-shaking planet-saving category. I'd be having way too much fun trying to find out all the things.

8)      feel is emotionally most realistic

• Also tough, but maybe Ham? He always seems realistically skeptical of the whole situation.

9)      shamelessly crush on the hardest

• Can't think of one. 

10)    is most like someone you know IRL

• Adolin. I know some pretty nice people that also seem to think they're out of their league.

• I would absolutely love to be friends with Jasnah, but I feel like I'd be scared of her IRL, so probably Lift. Hoid would also be a fun friend (he tells great stories, need I say more?)

2)      feel is most believable in terms of motivation

• Dalinar. He is such an amazing character-- part of why Oathbringer is my favorite book.

3)      enjoy reading about most

• Jasnah, I think. She's my all-time favorite and I would like to know a lot more about her than I do.

4)      find most confusing/intriguing

• Hoid, of course, but also Szeth (so excited for KOWT) and Cultivation/Koravellium Avast

5)      find makes you laugh the most

• Lift. I love her conversations with Wyndle. But also Pattern.

6)      would like to punch in the face

• Elhokar, but I also kinda feel bad for him.

7)      personally relate to most

• Jasnah, if I'm being honest. Especially after her prologue in WoR. But also Renarin

8)      feel is emotionally most realistic

• Dalinar and Kaladin

9)      shamelessly crush on the hardest

• Jasnah (can you see an ongoing theme here?)

• Adolin or Navani, I think. I also know someone who's kinda like Syl

Hmm...

1)      would like to be friends with most - Navani, if we were closer in age. We'd have a lot in common. We could nerd together. Or Adolin.

2)      feel is most believable in terms of motivation - I want to put Wayne but he's not from stormlight... Eshonai, maybe? 

3)      enjoy reading about most - Navani, hands down. She's the best. And besides, the wannabe architect in me is most interested by her fabrials. (again, I want to put wayne too)
