I have this black glove from an old Halloween costume (I was a Knight of the Dawn, from the Fablehaven books. No one knew what I was. Hehehe...) and I wear it as a safehand glove, but I need to restitch the pinky... It's very long. I also use it when practicing with my bokken (basically a wooden katana) because I have gotten splinters from it before.

Awesome! I just stole all of the left gloves from our winter gloves and wear them.

Actually, I stole the winter gloves. Because they work either way.

Oooooh, speaking of that, have you read Dragonwatch?

A friend of mine just lost his left glove, and we don't have women here. Did one of you happen to take it?

Edit: speaking of Brandon Mill's book, anyone here read Five Kingdoms?

I read the first two books, and I didn't really like them. The original series is one of my all-time favorites, though.

I actually just read them for the first time at the beginning of quarantine. I enjoyed them, but Beyonders and Fablehaven are my favorite books by him.

Fablehaven and Beyonders are definitely the best. I think Fablehaven is my favorite...

Awesome! I'll add Fablehaven to my TBR...then presently never get around to reading it because my list is already too long

Whaat? I thought I was the only one here who's also never read any Sanderson.

You made me think I actually made a typo and said that I'd never read Brandon Sanderson... It took me a minute to realize you'd changed the words.

Bearer does that a lot.

I've picked up the habit, but in a different way. I correct grammar in the quote box.

I've been doing it for a while. No one's noticed as far as I can tell.

Now I'm always going to be looking to see if I can find any of the grammar changes you've made. I certainly made some changes when I quoted you :P

Um... check Siren's Call... page 201.

I've read and liked Beyonders, though Jason's complete lack of curiosity (as I saw it) really annoyed me. From Fablehaven I've read only the first two books, and since I have a fobia of mind-control, I disliked the second book.

Yep. I can’t believe it’s just us two that haven’t read Sanderson. . .

I got a blood test today Owo. Now I need to drink more blood to replenish the 2 syringes worth of blood that was taken from me.

I've really gotten into vampire books recently.

Thirst by Pike, House of Night by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black are only some of the ones I checked out - and so far, I've enjoyed all the ones I tried.

And yes, I've tried Twilight so far. It was amazing.

I've read The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. It was a few years ago, but I remember enjoying it.

Yeah, my cousin-in-law who works at the library recommended it when I told her I was looking for vampire books.
